Wera Multicolour Stainless Steel Metric Hex Key Set

Im a professional mechanic. I use hex bit sockets with a ratchet, and sometimes hand drivers. This is the first set of L-shaped hex keys Ive ever enjoyed using. The Hex Plus gripping power is very impressive.

Nice colour coded stainless Hex/Allen key set with a well designed and robust organiser. Due to the unique hex plus profile that bite into the corners rather than the hex flats these are particularly handy for removing hex bolts where normal allen keys have given up and damaged the hex in the bolt head. After this damage has happened do not attempt removal again with a normal hex key, just apply generous amounts of heat if possible and use these hex plus keys for a good shot at your second chance.. This is me 2nd Wera Hex + set after misplacing my last Wera set. Why only 4 stars? No mirror finish, you can see the machining lines but that is me just being picky. Would give it 4.5 if I could.

I already had the plain steel version of these (same Wera colour coded set but black colour, not stainless). That is to say, until others decided to avail themselves of the 5mm, 6mm and, lately, the 8mm keys. So, I bought the stainless steel version to replace them. Same superb Wera quality: great build, comfortable to use, useful colour coded sleeve system, perfect fit with both ends and the holder is simple, efficient and well designed. Yes, there are cheaper sets to be had but they won't match the Wera for the quality and durabilty. These won't be leaving the workshop ! Would thoroughly recommend spending the extra pennies and getting the best value for your hard earned money.
