We thought we were onto something great, both my cats were crazy for this when purchased a few loose cans from the store to try! So we went ahead and ordered the pack of 24 cans, but something is off about them. We tried 3 different cans from the pack over the course of a few days and neither cat would touch it, a quick sniff and run off. I believe something went bad in the transportation process. After my local Petco took care of the return I picked up a couple loose cans again to confirm my hunch and of course they loved it and ate it right up like they always have. Shame now I can’t take advantage of the shipping offer since they can’t ship quality food. I have read similar review for the food on other websites.

Excellent food -gave 4 stars because 8 out of 24 cans in my shipment were severely dented and had to be returned to the store. This is not the first time - Seems like petco wants to rid themselves of dented cans by packing them with shipped orders

We own a special-needs sanctuary with many cats. This particular flavor is well liked by all - a rare accomplishment. I like to add it to the rotation, especially since there is no carrageenan. You don't want that in your cat food!

I bought this food for my senior cat who is a very picky eater these days. He seems to like it, but he really only licks the consommé and leaves the shredded chicken. Usually I have to throw that part out. If your cat only likes “gravy” and pate like my boy, I don’t recommend this particular type of food. But, Weruva has lots of “slide n serve” options that my cat will eat.
One of cat's has been having a lot of constipation issues, so I decided to try this food for both cats to get them going poop regularly. I first mixed the food in with the food they've been eating and they scarfed it down pretty fast. I saw no reaction in either cat with the food, so I started with their entire wet food meal being Funk in the Trunk. Well, I don't know if I've ever seen them eat that fast, especially our female cat, who was literally shoveling the food down. She kept going back to her bowl and her brother's bowl to lick the remnants. So, I ordered a case of it. Wonderful to see them love it. It has real chicken in it and plenty of it. I definitely recommend it. And our cats are pretty picky eaters for sure.
I have been using Weruva Funk in the Trunk wet food for a little while now with no issues. I decided to try ordering a bigger case/cans from Petco for the first time and neither of my cats will touch it. I wasted three cans before I decided to just give them another Weruva flavor. I noticed the Funk in the Trunk smells way more like fish than chicken now. I never will buy again.
this has great human grade ingredients compared to other brands. definitely worth a try but i would suggest not buying the entire x24 set first just in case you have a fussy eater, mine tends to leave out the shredded chicken parts but i think she’s still getting used to this texture from her previous pate meals from fancy feast. its a bit pricey but i think the high quality ingredients makes it worth it
I ran into a bad batch awhile back, my cat (who use to love it) wouldnt go near it. Decided to give it another try being my cat has problems with hairballs and digestion and this stuff really helped. If it happens again it will be my last try. Its really a great product but processing has to be improved. This is not a low end product and should be made right here is the USA!
