I absolutely love this thing!! And so do my dogs (10lb toy poodle and 60lb Saint Berdoodle) who got the size S and L respectively. The moment I opened up the box and removed the packaging, they considered it a toy and threw it around haha. I was not expecting them to want to play with it, but they did! Of course, now they just associate it with yummy stuff.I definitely like it more than the kong in that I can see how my pups will get the food out. I still have a hard time understanding how my dog will get food out of that small hole on a kong. It's great for a quick dinner feed when I don't have the energy to make a more complex DIY enrichment idea and super simple to clean.I definitely want to buy again in the same sizes to connect and to just have more ... Our labs are LOVING their Toppls! Toppls are easy to fill and clean, and nothing gets trapped inside like sometimes happens with Kongs. The “fins” at the bottom hold mini carrots and cookies. We fill them up with leftover veggies or fruit, pumpkin purée, yogurt, or cottage cheese, and top with blueberries or small dog treats. We freeze them to make the treats last a little longer. They also work if you fill them with moistened kibble, but it doesn’t hold a whole meal’s worth. . I was a little concerned our dogs would chew through the material when I first got the Toppls, but that material is tough! So glad we discovered these.

Best toy ever for a tough chewer! We love West Paw products. In less than a week our 8 month year old beagle went through at least 11 toys. There were more, but attached is a photo of most of them. It's incredible to me that he is capable of destroying toys so quickly. The exception is the West Paw Toppl. This thing is amazing. He loves it so much, especially when we put peanut butter & other things in there. Sometime we will freeze something in the center, so it takes a little more time for him to enjoy. He's chewed on this relentlessly & hasn't even remotely damaged it. We are so thankful for this product & can't begin to express how much we recommend you try it out.

We purchased two, the larger size for our standard doodle and the small size for our mini doodle. They both LOVE their Toppls! I can easily fill with things like apple slices, carrots, red bell pepper, blueberries, venison jerky, dehydrated beef liver and chicken hearts, wedging some treats in to make it more challenging for them. Our mini knows how to bounce and roll his Toppl to get his treats. Our standard just manipulates his and has a ball doing so! Both love to play with them and have them thrown to retrieve after the treats are gone. They are easy to clean, too! Highly recommend for snack time!
Lily, my Pittie rescue, just loves her Zogoflex dog toy, and won't share it AT ALL with her brother or sister, which has caused a little tiff or two in the house, so I'm going to have to break down and buy two more of these for them! But that's okay, because they're a great, fun, engaging dog-treat toy for your dog, to be sure. The way you stuff your chosen treat into them makes it a little bit challenging for your dog, even a champion, intelligent chewer like my 2-year-old pittie, to get to the treat, so it's going to take a while for your doggo to work their way to the prize, trust me! And if you put something soft like peanut butter, all the better! I did try that, since this is dishwasher-safe, and it provided Lily with about an hour of entertaining licking. ... And if you put something soft like peanut butter, all the better! I did try that, since this is dishwasher-safe, and it provided Lily with about an hour of entertaining licking. (Make sure you're up for THAT licking sound in the background!) The only thing I do not like about this toy - and it's minor - is that the rubbery plastic substance on the outside of it is SO STICKY that every single particle of dust or tiny hair on or around your dog will instantly stick to it, it does not matter how clean you think you get it. And NO AMOUNT of washing or rinsing will clean it because the instant you touch a paper towel or regular towel to it, fibers from THAT rub off onto the toy! It's aggravating for ME personally, but it may not bother you! That's the only thing that bothered me; otherwise, Lily had a great time with this; it's very engaging and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design, for sure. DO NOTE, however, that if you have a breed of dog that is flatter in the snout (bulldog, Pekinese, etc., you know who you are :) think twice about this toy, as the "cup" part of this toy is deeper than it appears here and the dog needs to have at least an average to longer "nose" or snout to be able to reach the treat. I'm not sure that is mentioned in the product description. But assuming your dog's nose is up for the hunt, go for it; I do not think you will be disappointed!
Look, I'm going to be honest here, I bought mine off Amazon at a higher price and am salty about it - HOWEVER, this is thing is better than the Kong Classic by an absolute load. Kongs can take a lot of time for dogs to get used to and when they do, they might not get everything out. Not an issue here. It's got raised bits in the middle to add the challenge, freeze your dogs brekkie/dinner for them when you're heading out and need even more challenge, and even with all that, your dog clean this thing out. Weird, grey Kong paste is a thing of the past. Also, The width of these things means that even the most determined of deep-throating dogs won't choke on them. 10/10. I highly recommend it.
My 2 year old 70lb dog get 2 and a 1/2 cups of dry dog food twice a day. I have the XL Toppl. I take 1 cup of what will be his dinner, let it soak in some very hot water for about 5-10 minutes in the morning. After it’s soaked for a bit and the food is soft I mush it up a bit and put it in the toppl. I freeze it and then that will be part of his dinner. Takes him about 20-30 minutes to eat it. I love that it’s easy to fill and clean. It’s challenging for my dog but also easier to access the food than a kong which I like cause a lot of the time with a long my dog isn’t able to get everything out of it and it’s frustrating for him. Really good quality, I can tell this will be a life long product for him!
Love these. My wife and I haven’t had a puppy in 30 years. We did lots of research before bringing him home. A dear friend and pet guru recommended these. The first day our puppy came home and it was time for a meal, I put out a small bowl of food and a Toppl with food in it. He went immediately to the bowl, looked at it, and went right past that to the Toppl, whacked it with his paw, food went everywhere, his tail started going. He loved it immediately. He will eat from these for life.
This is the best! I was an avid kong lover until I tried my first Toppl. The shape and design is SUPER easy to clean and stuff different products in it. It’s great as a slow feeder with wet food or treats, and it’s a great hit in my house. The design allows for a challenge for my 60lb 8 month old lab but also allows him to still get the treats. It’s easy to clean and dishwasher safe… I have one in every color and recommend this over the kong every time.
We love our Toppls so much! A typical day in the life of our Toppls is to be filled with Honest Kitchen (plus some fun extras), frozen, licked and chomped on by the doggos, then tossed in the dishwasher. Repeat daily!! We have had two Toppls for probably close to a year with zero wear and tear showing! I'm slowly adding to the collection so we can batch prep our dogs food for at least a week. We've tried many differed food toys and the Toppl has been the only one to hold up to our daily use. Love them!
