I tested it once, work well. Low noise. Very light weight, easy to carry. The manual has some typos need to be corrected. Oil capacity is listed as .37 qt. Oil Bottle size is listed as .37 qt. However the included bottle was labelled as .25 qt. So I was pretty confident it's not going to overflow, but to my surprise it overflowed all over my work bench. Please be aware of this when you start up your product. Westinghouse: please correct the manual.

Westinghouse has the best customer service I've ever contacted! Very little wait time, talk to a real person who was very knowledgeable. Turns out my starting issue was due to a tad too much oil (I put the whole container in it they supplied, but they told me sometimes there can be left over oil that didn't all drain out from testing). After draining a very small amount, it easily starts now. I can't believe how pleasant my experience contacting Westinghouse was. I will not hesitate to purchase more products from them. Purchased this to run my son's pitching machine at the ball field. It is a 2-wheeled pitching machine so with this generator you have to bring one wheel up to speed before starting the second wheel or the generator overloads (1000 Watts / 120 VAC = ~8 Amps steady state current capacity and 10 Amp in-rush/start-up capacity). Generator starts easily and runs very (surprisingly) quietly (you can stand next to it and have a conversation in a regular voice). It is also very portable between its weight (mfg says 33 lbs and that feels about right) and size. Ships with everything you need (oil, funnel, instructions, etc.) except for fuel. Only complaint is that the instructions tell you to add all of the oil the generator ships with and if you do that you will overfill it ... MorePurchased this to run my son's pitching machine at the ball field. Additionally, the manual says to fill to the bottom of the threads, whereas the sticker on the side of the machine says to fill to the top of the oil fill threads. I went with the top of the threads. Additionally, I can only imagine the mess it will be to change the oil, based on the recessed oil fill hole. I will be making a 3D printed threaded extension to screw into the dipstick hole to get the oil out beyond the side of the machine.
Generator has exceeded my expectations. Easy to carry. Powered a small compressor and work light for six hours with fuel to spare. Starts consistently on the first pull. Is surprisingly quiet. Will be using it for some camping trips and the noise level is well below what I'm used to from a small generator. Overall looks like an excellent product for the price.
I bought this generator almost a month ago and have used it for several extended runs. Overall I like this generator a lot. It has good consistent output, is quiet and has a fuel saver option which makes it run even quieter when not on a heavy load. I was able to run multiple battery chargers off this one generator with no problem, my only issue is that the width dimension in the description/specs is not correct. The 8.5" dimension is not correct, the generator is almost 2 inches wider than this....as a result I had to make modifications to mount this as planned.
I got this to provide backup power for my RV for lighting, TV and CPAP. The unit was easy to setup but did not take all of the oil in the bottle. So be careful when filling to not make a mess. After running, the level was still good. Suspect there was still some oil in the crankcase after the factory check run. Runs very smooth and quite. Only other comment is the air cleaner cover is difficult to remove.
This little generator is perfect. I spent hours trying to decide what to buy, and at the end of the day, I made a great choice here. Being SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS CHEAPER than the Honda equivalent, in retrospect it was a no-brainer. The generator arrived promptly, and I love the fact that the perfect amount of oil was provided for the initial fill-up. It literally cranked on the first pull. My initial use was for a boat Christmas parade, and I hooked all of the lights, speakers, radio, etc up on my pontoon boat...worked perfectly. If you are considering a generator, stop the madness and buy this one...you'll love it.
Primarily use to power the RV when off the grid. Should be plenty of power. Added oil and gas, connected the battery and pushed the start button. Unit started instantly. Tried the remote and it worked great, even from inside the house. Very pleased with the performance. Note: The instructions say to add the entire bottle of oil (included) initially. Don't do this. Unit will not hold the entire bottle and you will have a mess to clean up.
