We purchased this Westinghouse dryer, based on good online reviews. Upon first use, it started making a loud noise that was coming from inside the dryer at the back. The noise was mostly continuous. I rang GG, was asked if there was any visible damage - I looked inside the drum and could see it had a noticeable dent at the back of the drum. (We had only dried one load of towels at this point.) GG asked if I would like a replacement or a refund, so I requested a replacement, however I was told that 3 Westinghouse dryers had been returned with the same problem. So I chose a Fisher & Paykel dryer as a replacement (our old dryer was also F&P) and I am very glad I did as it is excellent and I much prefer the F&P dryer control options over the Westinghouse, which is very ... We bought the machine predominantly because of price. Cheaper in the long run than using the laundromat whilst our primary machine was awaiting spare parts. The dryer has exceeded expectations. Simple to use and no complaints. I personally would recommend to someone that doesnt rely on a dryer for everyday use. Great for occasional use. I prefer a condenser dryer so my windows dont fog up.

Great dryer, I was concerned that it had a warm and cool switch, but no hot like the old Simpson I had. It seems to be just as good as hot, don't know how. It swaps direction every few minutes to prevent tangling which is great. A great simple design, which is hard to find. My only criticism is that of all dryers, none have an easy ability to install castor wheels, I wish they did. I checked them all out underneath and none did. I preferred wheeling my old dryer out to balcony, but this one is very quiet.

There was a slight dent with my dryer when the delivery boys dropped it off (they were awesome). They did recommend that I send the machine back but because it was an aesthetic issue and not a mechanical issue, I chose to keep it. It's a really good dryer and does the job well. Easy to use too! You really do need to clean the filter regularly because if you don't, the flying lint will be a clear reminder. Happy with my purchase. PS Still trying to figure out if it's okay to put on top of my front loading washing machine. The boys that dropped it off said to just put a rubber mat underneath the dryer. Not sure if it's supposed to hold that way.
This little dryer is so easy to use. So far it does the job every time within the set time. The lint filter is easy to clean. No water container to empty and no condenser to clean. The latter is a complicated task. The dryer is not heavy and can be moved around anytime and anywhere inside the laundry. Very happy to have bought this dryer.
I bought this 4.5kg Westinghouse dryer as a replacement for my old Simpson 3.5kg dryer. What a difference! The extra capacity is great. I love the reverse spin as it eliminates a lot of the tangling I used to get with my old dryer and I don't have to constantly interrupt the drying cycle to detangle items. It's just a pity that the energy rating is so low, but it is a vented dryer so that's to be expected. A very good purchase!
This one of my best purchases from Harvey Norman! When I tried to look for a dryer to replace our old one, my first thought was to look at Harvey Norman website. The website eas easy to navigate, it was also easy to filter relevance of what I needed including the capacity of the load I'd like to get for our dryer. The convenience of being able to pickup from Taree was also lovely. The 2 guys who helped us load it on our car were nice. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Harvey Norman!
I was surprised to find such an efficient dryer at an entry-level price point. This dryer is super-quiet and you barely know it is running. No complicated push-button electronic programs an easy spin dial you use to select drying time. Easy-to-clean filter. This dryer does exactly what it is supposed to do . . . dries clothes quietly and efficiently at a very reasonable price. Very happy with this purchase.
The simple dryers are always the best, easy to fix, dry clothes fast, never breaks, had one just like this that was Simpson brand before I purchased my new one which is the Westinghouse and it lasted 10 years of 2 loads everyday. I’m sure this new one will do the same for the price you pay, great value and easy to use, no silly sensors or anything. Great clothes dryer. I hope they keep making these because they are the best.
Is to use fits nicely between my washing machine and deep freezer .Perfect for heavy duty work clothes and Doonas. Repayments are easy with Afterpay .
