Our original oven was gas and it was installed 20 years ago. It was getting tired! We were wary about changing to electric but were told that the current breed of electric ovens are more than comparable to gas. We were not disappointed! Our new Westinghouse oven is brilliant. It comes up to temperature very quickly and the thermostat accurately holds the required temperature. The controls are simple and easily read, even without glasses. We have prepared a couple of roasts and a variety of oven bake pasta dishes. The food has been cooked through and is delicious. We are very happy with our purchase.

We purchased this oven to replace a not so old "quality" European unit with a door that never closed correctly. We chose the Westinghouse primarily based on an earlier purchase for my mother of a lower priced Westinghouse oven which impressed her and others visiting her with its solid construction and easy to use controls. We especially like our new oven as its door shuts firmly, the oven exterior is cooled by air flowing over its exterior (limiting heat in the surrounding cupboards), it is extremely quiet and has simple basic controls. Our first attempt with AirFry was not over impressive and so we probably will not use that feature too much, or improve our cooking skills. It is also quite attractive within our kitchen. The first oven came in with a broken fan - which was pushed 'back' by the installer with a screwdriver. We were advised to do the same, but this was not a solution and eventually the fan stopped working as it must have hit surrounding parts too much. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We got a whole new unit a week and a half later - and it has been good. Its quiet, simple to use - the airfryer is not as good as a small benchtop airfryer - but it also has to heat more space and does a good 'quick' job. Im not covinced the 'steam' part does anything useful (I have tried it) but it doesn't bother me. Looks good, and when you get a working one I would highly recommend.

For what I would call a medium priced oven, this one is very good. Looks great, and easy to clean and so far no problems with cooking. I have yet to really check out the Air fry component properly. Also the fact that Westinghouse is Australian, owned by Electrolux, manufactured in Adelaide, SA is a major draw card for service and parts if needed and supports our local industry. Also the very professional, friendly service that the Good Guys provided was 100%. I would highly recommend the Home Service installation that they offer. Very organised, friendly and customer orientated. Plus, they dispose of the old oven if needed. To me the purchase was,as they say, "A No Brainer"
I found this oven to be a very good cooker - haven't had a disaster!!! So different from my previous oven, this new Westinghouse has lots of options for cooking. I tried the pizza control the other day and have to say it cooked beautifully both top and bottom. Havent tried the air fryer yet but looking forward to having a go with that. Made some shortbread biscuits and they also turned out cooked to perfection, so all in all going well. I was a bit concerned about the stainless steel bit but when it arrived (its dark stainless steel) it fitted into my kitchen really well even though all my other appliances are white. Doesnt look at all out of place.
I am happy with my new multi-function Westinghouse WVE617DSC oven. My old one is over 20 years old and the light is not working. Now I can see my bake/cooking with the light on. I can toggle between bake and fan forced during my baking/cooking to ensure the second tray is also evenly cooked. The internal width is wider than my old one so I can put two baking trays side by side (portrait) on one rack. The only down side is the timer does not shut down the oven when time is up. I have to turn the temperature knob to neutral to turn it off (unless I have not discovered this auto turn off setting). However, there is a continuous beeping noise once the set time is up to remind me to turn it off. The digital clock on the front is also handy to check the time
I replaced my 20 year old Ariston oven with this Westinghouse and it is a decent oven. It comes to temperature very quickly and holds the heat long after being switch off, which is handy to keep things warm a little longer without having to have it on. Airfryer function is completely new to me and is fun, works well but is so messy! Unless I'm not doing it right! I still don't see the difference with just fan forced oven function. What I don't like about this Westinghouse it it does NOT display the temperature on it LCD screen, rather you set it with the dial which is not as accurate to do. I did not realise this when purchasing it, as that seems a basic function to have on every oven. haven't tried programming it yet to finish at certain time, but I think you can. ... Plenty of positions for racks, enough racks included. All in all it's ok, but I miss my Ariston
Overall I've been happy with the oven although it has taken a little while to get used to. I'm wondering if the air fryer setting is a lot gimmicky. I used to bake potato slices in my old oven on the fan forced setting and they used to crisp up nicely. Cooking them the same way in this oven left them soft. It wasn't until I started using the air fry setting that I got them consistent with the old oven. I've never used an air fryer before so I might be missing something - but it doesn't seem to be any different from the regular settings on other ovens. I can say though the bake and steam setting is amazing for your cakes (it makes the best banana bread ever). Oven was value for money and looks fabulous. I'm happy to have made the decision to go with this.
I purchased this new oven as my previous one was no longer cooking at the correct temperatures. I love this new oven. It has all the cooking settings I need without too many bells and whistles. I love the cleaning function ... really useful. The only negative and hence 4/5 stars was the instructions are confusing and for me at least, not user friendly. Delivery & service was exceptional as always!!
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, I didn't realise how much better cooking could be. The Pizza setting is amazing, using the same dough recipe I have used previously, the crust is crunchy and much better than with my old oven. General cooking has also been great. Tried the air fry function too and it was so-so but maybe with chips it will be better. I have a few annoyances though. • The knobs are slippery, there is no grip on them to help turn them except for the line to specify the setting/temp. • The minute minder requires pressing the Mode three times to get there, this should have been one press only as it will be used all the time. • You can't display the time when the timer is on like I could with my old oven. • Probably the one thing that is ... Luckily my old oven's roasting tray fits directly in to the rack holders. This oven's roasting tray is too narrow to fit on it's own without taking up a rack. It only comes with two racks and an air fry tray. I probably need to buy a third rack if I want to use the roasting tray that came with the oven. They are fortunately not too expensive.
