Westinghouse Single Electric Hotplate

Great asset when we have no kitchen. Much easier than going outside to use the BBQ. However there does not seem to be adequate temperature control. The low settings seem to be just as high as the high settings. The simmer option is quite a high setting. Will consider taking it camping when we are able to go on holidays again.

Clean lines and easily readable controls.

These units were purchased to replace two "unbranded" units that did not measure up. Chose these on the basis of manufacturers name rather than place of manufacture. Very happy with their performance and would recommend to people that they buy units other than "best price" articles.

Compact but heats well

Although on first impression this hot plate looks small the heating area is a good size. You only need to have it on a low setting to be able to cook dinner or boil the kettle, compact enough to store in a draw. Doesn't take up a lot of space on the limited bench in my small van

Fast efficient service but hob itself too small

Impressed by fast posting and ease of payment. Asked measurements and given whole circumference as opposed to hob itself. Too small for what I purchased it for.of pat

Westinghouse single electric hotplate is fantastic.

This cooktop is a great addition to my kitchen. I was able to boil a big pot of water and cook spaghetti in good time. It kept its heat going to maintain the boil and the pasta was cooked to perfection. It takes up little space in my cupboard and is completely portable if you want to take it somewhere or even outside if you have a power point and suitable surface to put it on. Really good value for money and the delivery time was as anticipated. The item arrived well packaged and undamaged. I would recommend this item to anyone needing an alternative to a full size cooktop or for an extra hotplate when needed.

fast and convenient

I chose this hotplate for its lower power wattage being off the grid and not wanting to rely on gas for the summer. I dont turn it up to the highest setting as it will use more power. only down side for me is doesnt suit smaller pots otherwise just what I needed
