Wet Brush Pro Detangling Comb - Purple

So glad I bought this comb. My hair seems to tangle now more than ever for some reason, and this is the only comb that helps. The bristle are thick and firm as opposed to other brushes I've used where the bristles are flimsy and sometimes even bend and break. I start from the bottom and come up until all my knots are gone. The handle has a nice rubber grip too so it doesn't slip out of your hand, which is good since I do use this mostly when I have a wet tangled mess of hair. This is great to use for evenly distributing hair prosucts. I especially like using it to distribute leave in conditioners and hair masks. I got mine at Ulta and highly recommend this for anyone who deals with constant knots like I do.

I am kicking myself for not buying this comb sooner. For the past six months, I've been dealing with matted knots galore, so bad in fact that I've seriously contemplated shaving all of the hair off my head... and I'm not even joking. My regular comb could not do the job of detangling my hair and I would spend an hour or longer undoing massive, intricately woven knots throughout my entire hair. It was absolutely depressing and so absolutely inconvenient. Anyway, flash-forward to one week ago, when I received my $7 purchase of this comb that I ordered online from Ulta. After doing one deep reconstructive treatment on my hair last week and then using this comb once or twice a day for the past week, I have NOT had a single rat's nest on my head. I don't know how it would manage if my hair got to MASSIVE KNOTS level again, though, but I hope to never find out.

Doesn't Effectively Detangle

This is the worst detangling brush I've ever used - a wide-tooth comb is much better, in my opinion. I have fine hair and it's still SUCH a pain to try to comb through my hair with this (and yes, I start at the bottom).After Brushing through my hair with my normal brush, I've tried occasionally using this to help spread product though, but most of the time all it does is cause more tangles in my hair. I don't recommend and I won't buy again.

Great Tool

I was looking for a double tooth comb to detangle while styling my wet hair, and I came across this gem. I am so glad that I found this tool because it has totally changed how I detangle. I was using the Thick & Curly Tangle Teezer to detangle while styling, and it wasn't bad, but I felt as if I was losing too much hair. I still love my Tangle Teezers (I own three), but it isn't the best for my strands while styling. The non slip grip on this comb is great, and it allows your hand to relax and let the comb do exactly what it needs to do. The teeth are spaced just right to allow all the tangles and shed hairs to come out, without having any snags or knots form.

Great for long, thick, 3a-b curly hair

This is the best comb for detangling my hair in the shower. The prongs are not flexible, making it great for those with a lot of hair like me. It's still a lot of work to detangle, but out of the plethora of combs/shower brushes I've tried, this is the best for the job. Two tips (which you should be doing anyway) are 1.) Coat your hair with conditioner before combing/detangling to provide slippage. This will help the entire process and minimize any pain from pulling. 2.) ALWAYS start at the ends and work your way up to the roots. Starting at the roots will create more tangling/knots and damage.

I originally hated this

this is the only thing I use to comb through my thin, but I have a lot, straight hair that doesn't like to be brushed. I hate this comb on dry hair but it works wonders on wet hair without feeling like I'm pulling my hair out. I do start at the ends and work my way up (like you probably should be doing anyways) and I don't have much fall out either. I highly suggest sticking to the ones with the black rubber part on the handle because I bought one of the other ones and it's uncomfortable to hold and broke the first time I dropped it...this specific one I've dropped numerous time and haven't had any issues and it's much more comfortable to hold. I have one on my bathroom counter and I have one in the shower to comb conditioners and masks through my hair too.

Solid, but a dissapointment

I tried to replace my brush with a comb. However, the pain was immediate: the painlessness of a Wet Brush does not seem to carry over to a Wet Brush comb. It feels solid and quality, though the handle's a bit small. But maybe solid's the problem. Also the handle feels slightly cramped, though it's the same size as my brush handle.

Start from the bottom

I usually comb from bottom usually in small sections. I get comb out of hair if it tugs. I overall like this. I recommend using it with leave in conditioner or using it in the shower with conditioner in your hair. Don't brush from the roots down because you'll pull your hair out unintentionally. Remember that the bristles aren't flexible like a detangler brush. I sometimes feel like I'm going to break it with my thick curly coarse hair. But I haven't yet.

Wet Comb Pro Detangling Comb

I decided to purchase this pro detangling comb from Wet Brush in purple. It helps to keep the tangles out of my hair after I wash it and before I dry it. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I would highly recommend it.
