I have been using these speakers for a while now and they sound great. They are very affordable and sound like they are worth way more than they cost. The tweeters are very high quality and clear, and the woofers are strong enough to handle all kinds of music. The build quality is nice, and the cabinets are solid. I have never had a problem with them and I use them almost daily. If you are looking for a great set of speakers for a decent price, you should definitely try these.

This speaker packs a powerful punch and delivers clear, balanced audio with an impressive frequency response. The midrange is particularly impressive, reproducing vocals and instruments with natural clarity. Although they may not be the most affordable option, the quality and performance of the Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 make it a great investment for any music lover looking for a high-quality bookshelf speaker that looks and sounds great.

I bought the Wharfedales 12.2s and have hooked them up with the Denon PMA 600 ne.The first thing that would strike you about the Wharfedales is their Cabinet Construction. They are built solid and are heavy. They also come with a Magnetic grill. Now Anil had told me that the improvement over the 11.2s was the bass...and it does kick in. Like even if you dont crank the bass on the amp they still have an adequate amount on offer. You may actually not require a sub-woofer. The separation is decent and the sound is on the warmer side.Though the break in period is around 50 hours,on first impressions they definitely look like an impressive piece of equipment.Played Rehman, Dire Straits,Gojira, Tool and Coke Studio....the presentation was detailed and the experience ...Ā MoreI bought the Wharfedales 12.2s and have hooked them up with the Denon PMA 600 ne.The first thing that would strike you about the Wharfedales is their Cabinet Construction. They are built solid and are heavy. Comes with a Crate to safeguard the speakers. Wharfedale speakers are the best and works pretty well with Denon amplifier and CD player. Amazing speakers at a reasonable price. Thank you. Mr Anil. All equipment's are just awesome.

Good contenders at the £300 price point
28 June 2022

I'd been looking to replace my somewhat cheap floorstanders (overkill for my room) for some time and set myself a budget of around £300. Plenty of competition at that level from the likes of Monitor Audio, Q Acoustics etc. I went for the Wharfedale Diamond 12.2s partly because I'd recently picked up a pair of the discontinued Diamond 9.1s for little over £100 for a syatem in another room - and they were very impressive both in sound and build quality. I have not been disappointed - I am hearing plenty of fine detail and separation of instruments with these. Slightly less bass than my old floorstanders as expected but it's not that much of a difference - I played a couple of dub reggae albums and I couldn't complain about the lack of bass. They definitely suit the room better and I have them on a pair of Atacama Moseco 6 stands. Good advice and service from Steffan at the Cardiff branch.

Legendary Wharfdale Sound and Quality
11 July 2023

I currently own Wharfdale III, Diamond 9.1, and Diamond 10.2 Wharfdale speakers for my family and myself. I was looking to add some speakers to a new receiver and immediately thought 'Wharfdale'. I looked into the latest offerings and came across the Diamond 12.2 speakers with their new redesign. After reading numerous reviews, commentaries, I decided to take another plunge into the Wharfdale pool. As soon as I hooked them up to play I knew I had made the right choice... these speakers have great sound! The bass is smooth and solid, while the mids and high levels definitely well represented. The new box setup (compared to previous curved exterior) fits great into any room. I think for the price, you will be hard pressed to find a better speaker.

Sound is bigger than they look
3 February 2021

I love these little speakers. Physically the speaker has some heft and the fit and finish is superb. With the grilles off, they look professional and the black-chrome ring around the drivers is sleek. With the grilles on, they blend into home decor and are discrete. Audibly the speakers fight above their weight class. Mids are their focus but the highs are accurate and the lows are surprisingly deep. I’m still in their break-in period and can’t wait to have them settle in. 5 of 5 stars. Seems like a ā€œbuy it for lifeā€ level product.

Sound is great for their size; good for music listening
26 February 2021

I was searching for a good set of speakers to use in my zone 2 for music listening. My zone 2 is my kitchen/dining room area (lots of hard surfaces). They sit on the cabinets above my refrigerator, 1-3/8" from the back wall and 2-3/4" clearance from the ceiling. I had to remove the grills so they'd fit better, plus, they look great without the grills (my wife prefers this look too). I have banana jacks installed in the wall between the speakers; the wire runs in the walls back to my AVR which sits in the living room. I previously was using a pair of JBL Northridge N24AWII (indoor/outdoor) speakers. They have very similar specs to the Wharfedale 12.0s, with one major different, the cabinets. I previously was using a pair of JBL Northridge N24AWII (indoor/outdoor) speakers. They have very similar specs to the Wharfedale 12.0s, with one major different, the cabinets. The Wharfedales technically have a lower dB rating, but seem to be driven easier than the JBLs (they're louder). The Wharfedales also fill the space with sound so much better. They can also be heard throughout the house more. The sound carries down the stairs to the basement. Also good for a little noise canceling effect from a whining kid :). The bass response is also significantly better. I was a little concerned about having rear ports so close to the wall, but I have experienced no issue. I'm quite happy with these as standalone 2-channel setup without a sub. I also notice more detail with these speakers. My wife and I have listened to a variety of music on them already (except country), and have been quite pleased. They are very lively. I have to assume they have little burn-in time on them; I bought them as a open box item. I look forward to getting some more burn-in time to see if the sound changes. I think these are a great deal for the price. I'd hard pressed to spend more money.
