The one of the handles broke at the first time I used it. It separated from the basket and the hopper was not be able to use. Absolutely there is a flaw in the design of the hopper.

I bought this in June of 2022 from Scheels. It is now Aug 2023 and the item is broken and completely useless. DO NOT BUY if you are looking for something that can last. I'd also like to point out that I rarely used this item and it still broke! From day 1 it always seemed "loose." Also, the lid never stays shut when it is in the trunk. To prevent having ball spill all over my trunk when laying it down sideways, I had to use a small bungee cord. When I called customer service they told me there was nothing they could do as it has been over a year. I let them know I'd be providing this same 1 star review wherever this item is sold so that no one ever buys this unit again. I think I'll look at Gamma or some other better brand.

Poorly designed handle seperates from the basket causing balls to spill out. After only a few uses, one of the wields broke making it inoperable. It's hard to believe that Wilson would put their name on such a poorly designed and poorly made product.

I am an instructor teaching free lessons to kids in public parks. I have four of these Wilson 75 hoppers, a Gamma 75, and a Gamma 140. I like the Wilson 75's because they are inexpensive and light -- sometimes I have to carry three hoppers full of balls with my left arm while carrying my racket bag on my right shoulder. But they are the flimsiest for sure. Don't buy them for a club, the kids will destroy them. I use them gently and they have lasted 4 years and going strong. The nuts come loose frequently. I went to a DIY store and bought locking nuts, now all is fine. Treat it well and it will reward you.The Gamma 140 is tiresome. if you fill it up to 140, it's a sturdy load, just ok for short periods of time. I bought it and it shipped very quickly to me. It doesn’t scratch my floor when I bring it inside when it’s on the legs but the nuts scratch everything. I’ve scratched cars because they stick out too much. The legs are very unstable unless you clip them in at the bottom of the hopper. They come out if you’re too aggressive when picking up balls. Aside from those it’s amazing! Easy to assemble
Very useful, reasonably-priced pick-up basket. I used it successfully in a session with my two granddaughters. Picks up easily and works as a ball stand when the handles are folded down to make legs. The kids liked it, too. My only issue was with the design of the legs/handles. As handles, they fit loosely with only the spring action of the long sides to hold the ends in the slots. When the kids dragged the basket sideways, the handles fell off a couple of times. Our solution was to use a large rubber band on each handle to keep them in place. As legs, they are designed to clip into 'ears' at the bottom for stability. Unfortunately the ears are much closer together than the width of the legs, and it's hard to get them to clip. Had to bend the sides of the ... MoreVery useful, reasonably-priced pick-up basket. I used it successfully in a session with my two granddaughters. After those adjustments, I'm pretty happy with the operation of the basket.
Exactly as pictured. Great design and function; lightweight; easy to assemble. My tennis-loving son-in-law disassembled to put in his suitcase to take home. It's that good.
I bought two of these from this site, Walmart, over two years ago. They are holding up well. They are lightweight, compared to other brands, not hard to build out of the box, and easy to stand for serving balls. There have been a few problems, and when a weld broke on one, I used a product of two epoxy tubes, found on the auto radiator additives aisle in the store, and it is stronger than ever. I recommend pushing down on no more than 3-4 balls at a time, to minimize the pressure that may bend the handle wires. If that happens, just bend them back to original shape; it's not hard. This ball hopper is easy to use and easy to maintain, but maintenance is very low, trust me. I pick up an average of 800 balls per week for serving and for my ball machine. So no one in our house plays tennis. However we live in the country and have 5 dogs, who LOVE tennis balls. However, 3 of the 5 are not so great about returning the ball after fetching it. This saves our backs from picking everything up! The dogs seem to be fans too!
Just love this product ! Was really happy with ease of assembly (one of my students put it together) and quality of this basket. We bought the 48 pack of junior balls at the same time - and they fit perfectly. When I use this I stand on the centre of the serving boxes and throw both ways so four players can be coached concurrently (we have 16 players and one coach so this works brilliantly for us) Very happy with my purchase.
