We have 3 Evo Balls all purchased at Christmas 2023 and the 2 personalized blue lettering balls weigh heavier than the black lettering ball. Everyone that has tested them out aside from us have said the same. All my boys use now are Evo Next balls at school ball and training. They can tell a huge difference in our two versus everyone else’s. It’s been a waste of money spent after begging for over year to get them. If the ball we have personally feels heavier than the EVO nxt balls at our school it messes with his shot when using his own ball so therefore he can not even use his own ball period. We have tried airing it up more, letting air out. Nothing works. I can not post pics because there is nothing to the eye you can see physically wrong. This is a beautiful ball. The grip is grippy. Immediately. Sometimes when you grab a ball of a rack or just start shooting things feel slippery…like life, sweat and effort help you find perfect feel. This ball is the future. No effort needed lol.Remember when the NCAA tournament started last year and teams 3 point percentage dropped…teams shooting the best 3 percenty in country went WAY down.Well…hello to the ball designed to make shooting 3’s easier. This is what happens when everything is a corporation and looking for more profit every year.Apparently basketballs need updates like your smartphone.Enjoy the future.

Arrived in adequate packaging, correct shape but 70% inflated. Did not come with the traditional basketball carboard packaging though, it was just in a plastic bag.Upon initial inspection directly out of the box I noticed some wrinkles around the sides (logos facing you). The wrinkles make up a complete circle around the ball on both sides, around the W and n or Wilson. I tried the best I could to show these wrinkles in the photos attached. When I made it home I inflated the ball to somewhere in the 7-9psi range listed on the ball. The feel & grip are very nice, but the bounce is flat/dead. Giving it a good push helped but the bounce wasn't consistent and at times bounced sideways it seemed. I have the old NCAA Game Ball (Wilson Solution) so I used that for ... MoreArrived in adequate packaging, correct shape but 70% inflated. I have the old NCAA Game Ball (Wilson Solution) so I used that for comparison with the bounce. They have a different bounce sound as well, which this could be because its an outdoor ball maybe but I wouldn't think that would be a reason. This Evo NXT NCAA Replica just sounded like a thud when bouncing, which would match the flat/dead bounce it had.I thought maybe through the whole shipping process that it could be the cold temps coming up to Montana had something to do with it. With that said, sitting overnight inside my home, the next morning had the same results. Its possible that I just received a bad one of the batch I'm not sure.

I bought this ball at academy for my son to use indoors. I didn’t want to spend a lot and it felt nice at the store. That’s about the only thing that’s nice about this ball. It cannot hold air at all. I have to pump it for my son before each use. The next problem is even when we pump it up a lot it won’t BOUNCE!!!! It’s really bad. You have to slam it on the ground to bounce it. Just before writing this I gave up after months of trying and bought a Spaulding TF1000 that’s used in AAU for $20 more. sorry Wilson I really tried. I’m gonna donate this ball to our rec center.
I got this ball for my 11+ year old kids. In the past 2 months I have also purchased new Wilson Evolution, Nike Elite Championship, Spalding TF1000 Legacy, and Baden Elite Game balls because we needed new balls and I was really curious to see what the kids liked best. Had this ball for about a week now and it's the boys top choice over what was the Nike ball (pretty similar but not all the way). Saw some reviews on here about how people thought the ball was too light, didn't like the color and it wears out too fast. All those reviews could make sense but I think it's people just stuck in their ways and don't like change. We think Wilson has done a great job with this ball. All those reviews could make sense but I think it's people just stuck in their ways and don't like change. We think Wilson has done a great job with this ball. The bright orange looks great flying around the court ( and it's easier to see when and where your ball is going somewhere it's not suppose to because of the bright color, and I am referring to people with sticky fingers trying to walk off with the ball ). I think kids prefer a bright orange ball that resembles a cheap outdoor rubber ball because that's what kids are used to seeing when their outside playing 8 months out the year and grew up with at a very young age just outside having fun ( got to have some love for the all around game of basketball indoor or outdoor ). Grip is superb. Weight may be slightly lighter but I have not had a person who touched it mention anything about it. ( Most balls are slightly heavier than they should be also) I could see how the ball would wear out easy if not properly taken care of or if used on dirty courts not properly taken care of or used much but that goes with item you spend good money on and is quality, you have to take care of that item properly and respect it, you don't just go abuse it ( unless it's a jeep ). Very happy with this ball and will be purchasing more in the future. I think it's worth the extra $20 or so.
I purchased this EVO NXT at DSG a couple years ago prior to the NCAA label being added. It was $89.99 at the time, but I fell in love with the vibrant orange soft cover.Unfortunately my ball has never held air well beyond a few hours. As such, I’ve hardly used this ball at all and it has sat on my shelf the majority of the past few years. I prefer the official Wilson NBA basketball and the Wilson Evolution over this ball. I recently tried giving this ball a go again, but the air valve problems persisted. I have not been able to enjoy this basketball as much I had hoped. The strong point of this ball is the softness and the moisture wicking technology. It has exceptional grip, even when sweaty.
We love the Evo basketball and have had almost every color from Wilson. This is the first time trying the silver color. It faded within a few days and eventually will have no silver color on the ball. Disappointed that there wasn't a disclaimer or note about the coloring. We love Wilson, though! Five stars other than the silver coloring. Don't buy if that will bother you.
Initially, we loved this ball. I bought it as a game ball for my sons basketball team. However, after less than a full season, the ball struggles to hold pressure week to week. We keep the ball in a temperature and humidity controlled room while not in use, but it drops as much as 3 PSI between our weekly practices. It may just be the ball we received because some of our teammates don't have this issue.Overall the ball is nice, but unusually soft even when fully inflated. For our games, we need to present the refs with two balls, and 9 times out of 10 they pick the Wilson Evolution over the Evo NTX.I would recommend a Wilson Evolution over Evo NTX. It's cheaper and has a more familiar feel.
I tried this ball in an open gym a while ago and I loved it. It felt so much better than original evo, which I hate its sponginess. now that I got this ball, but this ball feels so different than my memory. it feels like a sticky rubber ball. it doesn't spin on my hand but it sticks to it. did Wilson make some change to the composition of this ball? I thought I would need some break-in time, but it still feels the same after a month. another big issue is the consistency. the grip on the printed letters are so different (slippery). so depending on where I put my fingers on, every shots feel inconsistent. I want to return this ball, but I guess it's too late. maybe i'll go ebay or something.
