Wilson Pro Staff X V14 Tennis Racquet in Canada

I have been using both the pro staff 97 and X for over a month now and here are my thoughts. I thought the X was reminiscent of the 97 but I do give the 97 a bit of an edge when it comes to control. I didn’t have to adjust my swing that much with the 97, but that’s cause I’m used to the RF 97. Both rackets have the classic feel but with modern advancements. At 11.1 ounces, the weight feels perfect, especially if you’ve been holding the RF97, we all know that thing is heavy 😁. As a coach and longtime pro staff enthusiast, my opinion is that the pro staff X is more suitable for intermediate and advanced players looking to add power and control. The 97 is more suitable for advanced players looking to add stability to their game.

I have three Prostaff V14 97L. Great rackets. Guys at my club said I would play better with the Prostaff V14 X. The X doesn't fit my game. Bottom line. Garbage !
