Tried 2 and the only way I can get the needle to move is by putting it in a kettle of boiling water.. it moves so slow any meat would have gone cold by the time it reads anyway.
Unlike plastic thermometers, this one is great as you can leave it in the oven! I also like that I dont have to refer to the recipe/Google to figure out which temperature Im supposed to be waiting for - its there iin front of me on the dial!
I'm finally getting my roast meat cooked correctly.Just stick it into the meat and it tells you when it's cooked to perfection with different types of meat on the dial with the different temperatures (rare, medium etc.). Had great feedback from the people I'm cooking for!
Great thermometer. I would have preferred it to be oven safe so I could leave it I could leave it in a roast whilst cooking.
