I purchased this amazing detail brush from Michaels, and let me tell you, it is truly amazing. I am an artist, and was searching a very long time for a brush that could perform as well as this one does. Finally, I found it. The handle is fine tuned so the outlines cone out perfectly, and it was a great price also. If you need a brush for detail, this is the one. Don’t hesitate to purchase this beauty!

Windsor & Newton products are always of the highest quality and the Cotman series of brushes are no exception. I like their construction and the brush head holds its shape no matter what medium is used or what shape the brush is. Moreover there is an excellent choice of brush head/shape for all uses. Excellent.

This brush seems to just float across the paper and spreads the paint and water beautifully. Even with the large brush head, the tip is very fine and holds well so I can get a very precise line as well as a large wash of color. #blicksweepstakes
I have just started painting with watercolors. I was using the brushes I had on hand. They were okay, but I wanted to upgrade without paying the price of a professional brush. This one was perfect. It picks up and holds the paint well. A definite improvement. And at such a read price.
I bought this brush to work on small glue together models. Really fine tip for detail work. So far it works great and it’s easy enough to clean. I’m sure I will have this brush for a long time. I’d definitely buy another one just like it.
I have used this brush for about a month now and I have not been disappointed. It holds quite a bit of water for being not only synthetic but also for its size. I usually paint smaller pieces and I was looking for a small enough brush that was still able to hold a lot of water and pigment for as long as possible. This brush does both perfectly fine. I have used other synthetic brushes, mainly the ones that come in a multipack and the ones closest to this one in size don't even compare. They don't hold as much water or pigment and don't hold their shape as well. This is a student grade one, so if you're just starting out in watercolors I highly recommend it.
Whilst I rate the paint brushes I received as 5 star; (they are lovely to paint with and are top quality,) the purchase was spoilt by all the plastic packaging. I'm sure 4 small paint brushes do not require bubble wrap plus other plastic packaging in a relatively large box.This is not the first time I have bought something small and it has arrived in an over-sized box encased with plastic.There are so many other, better alternatives these days and I strongly suggest you improve your ecological credentials by investigating and implementing environmentally friendly packaging.I will not be buying from you online again for this reason which is a shame as you have such good high quality stock.
I have enjoyed using Winsor & Newton watercolor paints for several years. The quality is exceptional and yet affordable. It’s easy to get professional results with these paints.I also love using the round Cotman watercolor brush. If you paint with a good brush you know that it makes all the difference and yet this brush is in my budget. It almost as if a good round brush can paint a beautiful flower all by itself!
I bought the Set E, Set of 7 a while back when I first wanted to learn watercolor painting. I dug them out of my art box in the closet again recently when I wanted to pick it back up. These brushes are fine. Excluding the rigger (I really don't like the rigger in this set) they have lots of snap, and are soft but not floppy. They hold a decent amount of paint and water, but it's nothing to write home about. While I won't toss them, and I'm using them for gouache now, I won't replace them when the time comes. There are just so many better brushes on the market, and while it's true that they cost a little more, even just $15-20 gets you a round 6 brush several times better than this one.
