If you are looking for a standard controller to use with the Switch, look no further. The controller is fully battery operated. 2 AA batteries are included with the wireless controller. What is cool about the controller is that it has many programmable buttons. This controller easily synced with the switch making it easy to use. The controller fit perfectly in the hands very comfortably and worked very well. The negatives of the remote are that there is no motion sensory and that the controller does not have rechargeable capabilities. Overall, I would say this is still a solid remote. 

Colorful, cute, easy to pair

This Mario remote is super cute! The red color definitely stands out. My daughter just loves this remote. It was super easy to pair too. We love the fact that it's wireless too because it gives you so much mobility and you can get super comfortable while playing without the wires and cords. It's actually quite impressive that she was all the way at the end of the house and the remote was still working. Would make a great gift for any Mario lover or someone with a Switch. Definitely recommend. Very responsive to touch and very colorful

Comfortable and well functioning

I found this on an upper, out of the way shelf, at a GameStop and their system had it marked down to a reasonable amount to try it. I have the Hori controller too and it is lighter than this but was also quite a bit more in price. The other issue I have with it is it's not rechargeable and there's no clear and available replacement that doesn't require you to take the batteries out of the device. An upgrade to an internally charged battery would be a nice add on but overall, I love this controller.

It looks fine for light and casual use and while the quality looks decent, the controller also looks “dainty”. I received this product from Influencer for my honest and unbiased opinion. Pros: Comfortable to hold, no wrist or finger strain. Slip resistant, won't displace itself during an intense moment. Super long lasting battery, charges relatively quickly. Analog stick caps extenders make handling easier, quick to apply and at the user's discretion if they are wanted. The programmable buttons are easy to change at any moment. Cons: Unlike newer controllers, there is no microphone input. Adjustable shoulder triggers interfere with games that use a lighter touch for alternative functions, ie Cyberpunk 2077. Directions need to be a bit more heft to them, took some trial and error to turn on. [Rewarded Review] good controller with some missing features

this is a nice controller, especially for the price. there's just a couple things it doesn't have which I didn't realize until after purchasing: it does not support motion controls, nor does it have a rumble/haptic feedback feature. it's also just a little bit too wide for my hands, but for most people it would probably be fine. overall, it is a decent controller and a good alternative to the default joy-cons.
