I'm not the biggest fan of this product. For reference, I have dry skin. I haven't used a physical exfoliator in years so I was excited to see the immediate glowy effects of using one again (as you typically see with most physical exfoliators). Unfortunately, I didn't notice much of a glow or even a lessening of dry flaky patches I had to begin with. Worst of all however, is the "dead skin cells" that supposedly slough off your skin using this. To be quite honest, all I noticed was the product itself bunching up and areas (like my chin) where some dead skin should've come off, indifferent to the scrub remaining dry and flaky. Before I continued on with the rest of my skincare routine, I also noticed my skin feeling uncomfortably dry and tight (despite still being ... MoreI'm not the biggest fan of this product. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone with remotely dry skin. If you have normal/oily skin, I'd say to definitely get a sample at your local Sephora before making a purchase.... Show more

I recently tried Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub, and I have to say, it's an amazing exfoliant! My skin has never felt so smooth and soft. What I love about this scrub is that it's gentle yet effective. The enzymes work to dissolve dead skin cells, while the physical exfoliants (tiny rice granules) buff away any remaining debris. But unlike some other scrubs I've tried, Yo Glow doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped or raw. Instead, my skin is left looking brighter, more even-toned, and feeling incredibly soft. I’m surprised by the reviews about it being too harsh, that hasn’t been my experience at all but everyone’s skin is different! Another thing I appreciate about this product is the fact that it's suitable for all skin types. I have sensitive skin, so I'm always a ... But Yo Glow doesn't cause any irritation or redness for me. It's also free from harsh chemicals and microbeads, so I feel good about using it on my skin. Watching the skin slough off is ridiculous - so much comes off!! Finally, I have to mention the scent - it's amazing! The scrub has a light, fruity scent that's really refreshing and uplifting. Overall, I think Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub is an amazing exfoliant. If you're looking for a gentle yet effective way to brighten and smooth your skin, I highly recommend giving this product a try.... Show more

A winner if you get cystic acne
Leave the apricot shells in 1996 where they belong. Huda's products are high quality, even if they aren't always the 'clean beauty' that Sephora says they are. They still work, and work very well. I love chemical exfoliants because they leave my sensitive skin feeling smooth, with the deepest clean, and no micro-tearing which for me always leads to terrible cystic acne. Every single time I show weakness and use a scrub that has beads, shells, fruit pits, etc, within 24-48 hours I have multiple deep painful cysts on my chin and between my eyes. If this also happens to you, I am no dermatologist but trying quitting those scrubs and see what happens. My tip for this product is to be very ready before you use it. Your headband is on, the water is running for your rinse off OR do this just as you are stepping into the shower. It will make a mess as the bits of product and skin cells flake off. Start with a clean face, then pat your face dry. I use a thicc quarter size right into my palm, press my palms together to squish it, and then immediately start pressing this into my face to distribute. THEN rub it in. Use circles. Use it until nothing comes off. You do NOT have to press hard. Give yourself a little face massage. Again I do recommend you do this as you step into the shower, but without the water hitting your face, so you can rinse away the flakes when you're done. Your serum will just sink beautifully into your skin afterwards. Chef kiss.... Show more

Fun, but needs more honest marketing
It’s true that despite what some claims say, the pilling isn’t dead skin but the product reacting the oils on your skin. Personally, this is not a downside, I just wish it was more honest in the description/sales pitch I got from an Sephora associate. After all, this is primarily a chemical, not physical exfoliant (though it feels a bit like one). In this sense, it can be a good transition product for people who are used to physical exfoliants but want to transition to using AHAs/BHAs, while still having a scrub experience. If you apply to clean, VERY dry skin, it works a lot better, and it did drastically reduce the dry skin I would have on my face over time. My pores were less obvious, and I liked using it on days before going out, so that makeup would apply more smoothly. The biggest downside in my experience was that it’s pretty intense, and I had to decrease my usage by a lot because it was drying out my skin too much (and ironically creating dry skin patches). I still like it and use it, and have even repurchased it, but if you have sensitive skin be careful because it can be too harsh or drying. Because it’s hard to use as often, I don’t see as many results anymore. However, in warmer/more humid seasons it’s a great, fun part of my routine.I definitely recommend to others, when used in moderation, if you want the fun of a physical scrub in chemical exfoliation, and if you’re not put off by the texture (pilling). It gave me a good glow, and very smooth skin.... Show more

Nope
I don't really know where to begin with this I was gifted by Wishful, but the opinions I'm about to give are my own. I was excited to try this especially when I read about fruit enzymes,ahas/bhas that it has. Sadly this is a rinse off 'exfoliator' so any beneficial aha/bha ingredients will be rinsed off rather than absorbed into the skin. It uses cellulose to sort of ball up on the skin. That's not to say that the cellulose doesn't exfoliate in some way, the dead skin will stick to it, but, all of the balls are not dead skin flaking off so please don't be mislead. Huda claims that you see "instant glow" after using this. Not the case for me. And generally not the case with most skincare. With that said, I don't hate it. It seems pretty gentle but I can't honesty say ... MoreI don't really know where to begin with this I was gifted by Wishful, but the opinions I'm about to give are my own. Regular Routine
This innovative scrub contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids & Beta Hydroxy Acids. Combined they help smooth fine lines, skin texture, surface wrinkles, just to name a few.I'm someone who generally prefers grain scrubs like the discontinued Fresh Soy Face Exfoliant which left me with dewy skin, perfect for makeup application. However Yo Glow made me reconsider. It's the real deal! The ingredients are authentic - just read the list! I don't consider the process to be my actual dead skin cells rolling around on my face, but the results are undeniable! Smooth as silk, picture-perfect complexion. Consider me hooked.... Show more

Technique is key! Product is amazing!
I got this tester in my last Sephora order and it’s the first time I’ve ever run to purchase the full size of anything. Gommage is where it’s at! If you’re not familiar with a product like this, this isn’t your basic scrub. To notice the full effect, you have to apply the right technique and when you do it’s magic. I’ve been using microfoliants and overnight peels and they just haven’t been doing it for me. This gommage was a breath of fresh air for my skin! Just remember to wash skin first with a gentle cleanser, pat dry then apply the thinnest layer of this gommage like a mask then work into the skin gently with fingertips in a circular motion out and up while holding the skin taught. The product is meant to pill. Once you’ve worked it all in, rinse off the excess ... Unexpectedly good
Bought this as part of the Sephora Favorites set. It is owned by Huda Beauty.First of, please note that this scrub is to be used on DRY skin (unlike most scrubs) and it will clump once you rub it in. don't get alarmed by the clumps. It does work well. Rub it for a bit, then wash your face.1. It really smooths my skin and removes impurities- skin looks cleaner. I did not expect this to be this good, but it is!2. it's also a chemical exfoliant so it's better than physical scrubs (physical beads may damage your skin barrier if you use them too often). AHAs and BHAs are typically used in chemical exfoliants - however most chemical scrubs I've tried don't give results because the duration the product stays on the skin isn't long enough. Wonderful
I have very resilient skin, as in, it takes a LOT for it to become visibly irritated and such; (I know there's micro-damage and tearing hence you still have to be careful) to the point where "gentle exfoliators" are not enough. But this is perfect. It does what it needs to without being too harsh either. I have used it on my sister-in-law who has super sensitive skin and it worked great on her too. It leaves the skin soft and ready to just soak up all the goodness from the following skincare. I think it's fairly priced, not crazy expensive but I know Huda loves to source and prioritize quality before anything, so it's justifiable in my opinion. Packaging is cute but not too childish or kitsch. I think it's a great global pick without fuss.... Show more
