This is a wonderful scale! First of all it connects to the Internet via wifi and can connect to your phone or computer and apps in order to better check your progress. This is an amazing invention! It's nice and comfortable to stand on. It's accurate and well made. The best feature is being able to electronically track your weight and progress so you can see exactly how much you have lost or gained compared to your specific exercises and routine. This is also great because some apps allow you to track food habits as well so you can see how your eating habits fit in with your weight loss or gain. Over all this is a wonderful scale, and it does so much more than just track weight. Cinderella Collection

Bought this for my granddaughter who is just in infatuated whith all things Cinderella. She is 4 years old & generally will not sit through a full length Disney animation. One day last week we had the opportunity to watch over both grandchildren & our 1 year old grandson was into everything! So to our dismay, we put both movies back to back to occupy our granddaughter. To our surprise she sat through both features! I think this says volumes as to the content children love & the quality of what Disney does so well. To me if you have a child that loves princess movies, you won't go wrong adding this to the original Cinderella collection.

Good, but not excellent.

I like the looks of this product. It was fairly simple to set up. I have some reservations as to the accuracy of the scales - I weigh myself at the same time each morning but the readings fluctuate quite a bit. The heart rate readings also seem a little unreliable (30 bpm?), and sometimes fail to get a reading. I set the scale not to show fat percentage as the readings take far too long and seem arbitrary. The weather forecast at the end is a useful little feature. All in all, the scales are useful for monitoring long-term trends - I just don't have confidence in individual readings being accurate. To be even-handed, they were second-hand so there's always the possibility that they're not working as intended.

Junk. Bought 2 and returned the first as it broke within the return period. The second one lasted about 7months before breaking. I contacted Nokia Health support for help. They had me perform many different things over a day or so to see if it would turn on. Nothing. Then they offered to see if the warranty was available to assist. I had to provide proof of purchase - a valid request. They then informed me that because I bought the scale on EBay the warranty was not valid. The offered to send me a prepaid shipping label so I could return it to Nokia. In return I would receive a coupon for 25% off a new scale. These are +/- $150. I have no plans to give Nokia any more of my money for a subpar product. There is an important lesson here. Do not buy Nokia products off ... MoreJunk. Buyer beware, you may purchase a ridiculously-expensive scale that measures only weight. My husband and I purchased this scale from Best Buy in February 2014. We enjoyed using it for about 9 months until it began giving inaccurate body fat readings. One day my body fat % would show 80%, the next day 3%, the next 25%. No kidding, random numbers each time. It also only occasionally will read heart rate. We tried resetting it but this did not fix the problem. Withings does not offer customer service via telephone. Contacting them via email is not convenient at all. Recently we did begin the back-and-forth email conversation regarding the issue. They concluded that our scale CANNOT BE FIXED. We cannot recommend this one. You may want to make sure that those giving the scale high ratings have had it for at least several months.

Being that this is a connected device, I thought by now they would have fixed some of the issues with it, but while they may have done remote software upgrades to it (I doubt that, since I have not received any notifications stating they have), it still has the same issues as when I bought it. I would think Withings would want to take advantage of their app to differentiate, especially since there are a few much larger companies offering similar products in this space. Good news is that the app does work okay for the basics: you can check your weight, steps (if using Apple watch), heart rate (why?), etc. and check your progress over a period of time.The Scale:The scale definitely needs more improvements than the app. It seems to always be confused as to who is using it (this seems to have gotten worse as it gets older), and asks each time who is weighting themselves. Keep in mind, I only configured 2 people, not 10 people! 5 times out of 10 it can't measure the heart beat and fails when trying. And the weight can change by a good amount depending on where you stand on the device. It does guide you to move your feet so you are centered better, but even then, I get different weights if I move my feet slightly. I've never had this issue with other standard electronic scales. One thing that seems to be working okay is the connectivity to the Internet and sending the information to the cloud/app. I have not had any issues with those as some others have.Overall, I would not recommend this product. I read similar complains about other smart scales from other manufacturers, so not sure if the there are better choices out there. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! It is a nice looking device and If you only need the scale for a year than I guess this is fine. I bought the scale without researching it and was troubled when I got home and started reading about it. To be fair after the frustrating time getting it set up and the headaches now and then with losing connection and high battery usage, than I guess the scale worked well as long as you only needed to know your weight. Consistently the other metrics the scale was supposed to measure did not show up and finally after one year and less than a month the sensors on one side quit and the scale was unusable. Being a weight loss patient, I really needed a scale that would weigh me the same as my surgeon's office so I could get an accurate reading. Well, this scale is awesome and it in fact matches and weighs the same as theirs.It also tells me how my weight loss is progressing and keeps track of all weight loss and tells me if my heart is in the healthy mode or not. Tracks my in home levels of air quality and even gives me inside and outside temp readings. Love the app too! Pairs flawlessly with it.I normally would never pay that much for a scale but all the cheap ones never weigh right and are always off. The scale is EXTREMELY consistent.I only have two small complaints with the scale. First and foremost, the scale comes with optional feet for which to use in carpeted situations, but the scale simply is not accurate on carpet--like most scales. Secondly, the scale is very expensive. It was $30 more expensive than any other scale in the store but I bought it based on the glowing recommendations, and after owning it for a while, I'm glad I did. That being said, I still think the scale is a bit overpriced, but if you're willing to pay the premium for features and reliability, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The sync also happens quickly. The heart rate monitor does not work most of the time, but I don't really care much about that since I don't weight myself immediately after or during a workout. The air quality and weather report on the scale in my opinion are useless.I was surprised that despite being a "smart" scale, it really does not do much more than a standard scale. You get your weight, and it is sent to the app. The app also gets information regarding the number of steps you have taken if you have an Apple Watch (not sure if it works with other watches, but obviously would work with Fitbits) which is nice. Oh, and you can check the temperature, as if I could not get that any other place! I am not sure I trust the body fat and BMI data as they are all over the place and don't seem to really indicate any specific trends. There are also occasional motivational emails regarding achieving goals, like walking a long distance, etc.Somehow, I feel that there could be a lot more that could be achieved with a fully connected device, a mobile app, multiple health sensors, etc, etc. and at this price point. Hopefully Fitbit continues to add more capabilities since it appears the hardware is fairly capable and there could be more that could be done on the app and in the cloud. I had other apps on my phone that only use the data from my Apple Watch and do lots more.I would recommend this device if you're looking for a standard scale, and want to log your weight changes, etc.If you want a lot more, you may want to wait until Smart scales get smarter!
