Not everybody can afford the, so called, better wines. WB caters beautifully for that market with its excellent range of affordable wines. Well done WB for staying grounded and catering for those of us who don’t have bulging wallets but want to enjoy the pleasures of savouring a very satisfying wine range. I love the Shiraz.

Beats expensive wine

Love red label, very smooth full body and bold taste that can stand up to the intense flavours of grilled or roasted meat. Might be a typo error on the website - it’s 13.5% Alc not 14% as advertised and the labeling is different.

Excellent red wine to drink and gift.

Not a drinker myself, but regularly gift this. Friends always compliment me on my choice. Good price for quality wine, especially when it is on offer.

Family Favourite
28 November 2023

Purchased 6 bottles for a family dinner. EVERYONE remarked how nice it was! A very fruity full-bodied wine. Excellent value for money.

Full of carbon dioxide
20 January 2023

There must be a bad batch in certain stores as two bottles that I received were full of carbon dioxide, too acrid to drink.Make sure you check the neck seals as some will be loose from the pressure of the fermentation still happening, hence the carbon dioxide

Not as good as I'd thought it might be
7 June 2024

Very easy drinking medium bodied. Not sure I like the blend of Shiraz/Cabernet, too sweet for me. In fact, I'm finding a lot of the Australian wines are becoming too sweet for me, particularly blended wines. After a glass of this one, it began to taste like diluted cough syrup unfortunately. Will not buy again.

Not bad for the price
24 December 2021

This isn't the best Shiraz you will ever quaff, but for the price - and it is often on special - it's not too bad. There are certainly worse bottles of Shiraz around for the same price or more. And the quality design of the label is a plus. Anyone who would give it a mere one star must have very different taste buds to mine! Other reviewers seem to average around 4 stars, and I agree.

Smooth!
30 June 2022

I am not a huge lover of red wine, but I am impressed by this one. It's very smooth; no sharp aftertaste like a lot of red wines. A good but not overpowering flavour. Very, very palatable. The lowish price belies its quality. This wine is my choice from now on.

The best red wine by Wolf Blass.
5 May 2024

I have been drinking this wine for at least the last twenty years! No that undoutedly says it all! It is head & shoulders above its level of competitors, and I might add that I prefer it to many that are very much more expensive! Of course, you won't know if I'm right until you try it And the best place to buy it is AZDA, particularky when they are offering discounts on bulk buying.

This wine is not 14% alcohol
13 May 2022

I have bought at least 10 bottles of Wolf Blass Shiraz Cabernet off 4 different well known supermarkets recently and each one is showing this wine to be 14% alcohol. This is incorrect. In every case the back of the bottle showed 13.5%. Who is conning who? Wolf Blass (to the supermarkets) or the supermarkets to us!
