We bought for 40 which is well below some vendors prices.It is well made and strong, if a little expensive compared to similar mechanisms,( not designed necessarily to fit on the end of poles). Obviously some woods are harder to cut than others, so their branch thickness claims that it can cut might be considered a little over enthusiastic. It gets heavy to hold after a while. The sliding handle which can be locked to provide the optimum pull for the operator gets stuck on the cable although grips well, making it slightly awkward when changing position. Achieves results difficult to get with anything else.

Typical Wolf-Garten quality. Really easy to use and feels like it's built to last. We've been cutting branches 10' up in the air with ease with this.

Typical Wolf-Garten quality. Really easy to use and feels like it's built to last. We've been cutting branches 10' up in the air with ease with this.
This lopper is made to the usual very high standards of Wolf tools. I should last a lifetime. The pulley mechanism means that half inch thick branches can be trimmed. On the downside, it is heavy, and on the end of a long pole it will be quite tiring to use. I knocked off one star because of it is very expensive, but you get what you pay for.
This lopper saw is of excellent quality and easy to use. It is strong and well made ideal for any lopping job. I highly recommend buying from this company, they are fast and efficient on posting etc.
Better quality than previous similar tools of different make
This product is difficult to use. I have a smaller Wolf-Garten Tree Lopper, which I have had to resort to using again!
It's a tree lopper it cuts trees! Delivery time was very good.
This lopper was bought to solve the problem of reaching higher branches. Thicknesses up to 25mm are cut easily. Thicker branches are tough going. Even though the gearing of the rope pulleys helps increase pull effort, branches at the stated max of 40mm defeated me. The lopper is quite heavy but you soon get the knack of resting it on the top of the branch to be cut so that the branch takes the weight. However, once cut through the branch it is hard to stop the lopper and extended pole crashing to the ground. Obviously this is harder to control the longer the extension handle being used. But I'm glad to have it.
As always with Wolf a well designed and well made garden tool
