Camera works great. Front camera has great picture and functionality. Rear camera is clear and crisp. Basic functions.

Great Camera

I waited two months before providing this review (just to be sure). I installed on a 2024 Kia Forte GT Line. I mounted rear camera near the existing backup camera and just drilled a small hole to run wire. Entire install took about 2 hours start to finish. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of this product. The videos are really good day and night. I agree with other poster that the SD card is a bit hard to reach, but that is only a minor inconvenience. Kia's 12V outlet turns on and off with ignition, so I used that source for power. If your car does not have same feature, buy the OBD wiring kit and that is the easiest way to accomplish the same. Very good except the micro SD card location

I'm happy with the purchase. The rear view shown on the mirror is sharp and clear, on the mirror it displays the date/time and most importantly - the compass view (E, S, W or N) which is one of the reason why I bought this dash cam. Once the power is on it starts the recording, and the "loop recording" footage can be set to 1, 2 or 3 minutes so you get chunks of recorded footages, the recording continues and when the memory card is full, it loops from the start and record over the prior footages as needed. You can lock a footage to prevent it being recorded over. The footage can be viewed on the mirror, or you can take out the Micro SD card and view it on your computer. The should do a re-design on this and put the card slot somewhere else, like at the bottom where the power button is

gaps in recordings makes this unreliable

gor the most part I love this. However. It records in three minutes intervals, there can be a one to two minutes gap before the next three minute recording start. I had an incident where the part I needed was during the tranfer. I had nothing to prove what I said happened.I started watching the videos a little closer and found haps as long as 10 minutes where nothing was recorded at all. Can't have those kind of lost video.
