It's only new, but so far hasn't missed a beat.Rather tedious peeling all that blasted tap of it on delivery though.

The unpacking was a nightmare! The very sticky covering over the entire unit was extremely difficult to get off. One hour later and no nails… too late to put anything in!Have finally used and pleased with the outcome. Not sure I will now buy for my children as would not put them through the unpacking process!

Firstly it was very time consuming and fiddly to unbox and prepare the gadget for use. It took more than an hour to peel off the very sticky labels that covered the entire appliance. Once that onerous task was done however I was impressed with the unit. Already I have used it to make banana chips, proof bread dough, warm plates, and make meringues (“best ever” according to my husband!). I like the fact it has a 24 hour timer and that the temperature goes up to 85C. I thought it was quite expensive. The unit is made in China. I would prefer Australian made, but it seems we don’t manufacture many things here any more.

Unpacking was a breeze. Simply unboxed it, started dehydrating some kimchi and once the outer shell had warmed up (maybe 10-15 minutes in) peeled off the transit plastic that was protecting the steel in seconds. Everyone else complaining about that step in these reviews must’ve tried to do it cold.Apart from that, as advertised, it dehydrates. Three times the price of my last unit but I don’t have to rotate trays & to be fair my last unit broke after, maybe, seven uses.
stupid polystyrene packing that although technically is recyclable in fact has to go to landill. Otherwise a good product so far. Time will tell,
