Wombaroo Teat P

$1.80

(19 reviews)

Latex teat with fine, pointed nipple suitable for small and, hard to feed animals including: Small Mammals Cats Rabbits Guinea Pigs Sleeve fits Wombaroo Feeding Bottle or any bottle with neck diameter of 18-24mm. Teat Selection The teat should resemble the mother's in size and shape to ensure mouth comfort, fit and correct tooth eruption. Hole Size There is no hole in the teats, so the carer needs to make a hole to suit the animal being fed. Pierce the tip of the teat with a hot needle to make a hole about 1 mm in diameter, or for large animals, cut a hole with scissors. If the hole is too small, excessive sucking will quickly weaken the tip and the end will blow out. If this is happening then the hole is probably too small for the animal. Make a larger hole. The hole should be large enough for milk to drip out slowly, when the bottle is inverted. Feeding Technique Small animals can be fed using a syringe with a teat pulled over the end, to give greater control of milk flow with the plunger. Guidance should be obtained from experienced carers on correct feeding technique for different animals. Care & Storage Latex is a natural product. Deterioration can be slowed by storing teats in a dry place away from light. An opaque, airtight container should be used. Immediately after use, teats should be washed in warm soapy water, dried and stored as above. Some carers sterilise by boiling or with infant sterilising solutions.

Medium teats pretty good. Last a while. Unfortunately 9 out of 10 were perfect but sucking end was squashed in on one, unuseable.

VnP direct is always great to deal with. The teats are hit and miss quality but that's not VnP fault. Most of the teats I get, I usually get a weeks feeding out of each one but some a mere day or two b4 they split on the opening. The macropods seem to like them and that's all that matters.😁👍

Test is great but it takes no time for the kittens to chew the end off.

Too thin around base
23 April 2022

The teats are lasting less than a week before they tear at the base when trying to put them on the bottle. The latex appears very thin around the base.

Wombaroo Latex Teats

For what these are and for the price, they are just fine and I use them all the time. I run a Wildlife Shelter and have orphaned native animals to rear pretty much constantly. The Wombaroo teats offer a great range for the different animals. Yes they give up fairly quickly, but at around a dollar or so each it isn't a major disaster. Just a pain when you have a baby koala that tries to chew up a teat every feed! Then I complain!
