The On Cloudultra delivers a plush ride on even the roughest of trails. On engineered the Cloudultra trail shoe with double the Cloudtec for more cushion with each step. Designers packed the midsole with Onrsquos feather-light Helion superfoam to absorb impact from uneven trail surfaces. Taking inspiration from Onrsquos responsive Cloudventure, the midsole of the Cloudultra features a snappy Speedboard to power strong takeoffs as you cruise over the trails. The Cloudultra features an updated outsole of closed Cloud elements to keeps stones and debris out. The Missiongrip outsole uses three distinct traction patterns to provide multi-directional grip on slippery terrain. An updated, two-layer mesh upper is durable, yet extremely breathable thanks to perforations throughout. The upper is reinforced with ultra-light TPU and uses a sock-fit construction to hug your foot and provide the support you need as you run. An all-new Flip Release tab on the laces allows you to adjust the fit and relieve pressure as your feet swell while you run over long distances. Whether you wear it for long trail runs or an ultramarathon, the On Cloudultra is built to provide comfort for the long haul.

Best Trail Runners

These are by far my favorite pair of Ons I've owned. Just bought my second pair! I recommend sizing up a half size as they fit a big snug. I have a narrow foot & high arch and
these fit like a glove and require 0 break-in time! They're super lightweight but still very sturdy when running on varied terrain. They have a little "switch" on the laces that
you can flip to either tighten or loosen as you run & your feet expand without having to retie your shoes.

This is my second pair! I sized a half size up to prevent the slight pressure on my toes. I’m normally a 9 and went for a 9.5. I would recommend everyone to size half up if you
run longer than an hour at a time. The grip on these shoes is fantastic on snow and ice. The only surface I’m still nervous on is wet wood, my trail has bridges and steps but
I’m not sure any shoe outside of an ice gripper would cover that condition. I also have to run about a km on paved trails each way to get out and this shoe feels nice and light
going on all surfaces. I will continue to run this shoe all summer and I’m in love with the lilac colour.

I hate to say that these are my current favorites, because they are so dang expensive usually! 179$! I won my first pair in a competition and didn’t want to love them because
of their price but absolutely do love them! But I saw them on sale at Fleet feet. I replaced my originals. The shoe has a wide toebox, fantastic, laces, sturdy rock plate, yet
agile, the tongue keeps rocks out generally. And basically I don’t have to think about my feet. Anyone who knows knows how important it is. I appreciate you getting them on
sale at Fleet feet because they are definitely worth 140 bucks. I still wear my originals that have 400 miles on them but I know the new ones are going to feel ridi... Show more

Cushy and bouncy but first you have to get them on
30 October 2022
Wonderful with the max cushion and very supportive but hard to get on - like you need a spoon or insert to get your heel thru the sock. I’m just a casual user of this shoe (it was a handmedown) and mainly for walking on grass(golf) or gravel/dirt in my yard. But if you wann slip them on/off watch out. Also I’m a narrow size 10 and these are size 10 and my big toe was rubbing- most of this is not the fault of the shoe so be sure to try them on... Show more

Good looking, light and bouncy but made very small!
10 May 2022
These shoes are light and bouncy with their thick sole. I heard many good comments and since I was not able to find my size trail runners in Salomon I decided to try these. I have not used them extensively on different terrain to compare them to my Salomon but so far so good. They are made very small. I have a narrow foot that is why I normally buy Salomon and wear size 7. In these I got size 8 and I feel tight in them. When I take the insole out, there is some room between my big toe and the top of insole. I think it is the built in sock (the shoe does not open under the laces) your foot is completely closed in. Takes some getting used to.... Show more

Good shoe, just terrible traction on wet concrete
30 September 2021
I decided to try this shoe out after wearing down the pair I'd been running in all of quarantine. These seemed really neat and cool on the rack and the REI salesperson who helped me said they were good for narrow feet, similar to the shoes I'd been running in previously. I've never worn a pair of On shoes before and I was excited to try these out, but unfortunately I came up mildly disappointed. The big negative for me was that these shoes have little to no traction on wet concrete (sidewalks, roads, etc). I found myself slipping and almost falling during my first walk in these on some slightly wet sidewalk, which seemed odd since I expected these to have good traction. I understand that these shoes are trail-running specific, and I run in trail running shoes ... MoreI decided to try this shoe out after wearing down the pair I'd been running in all of quarantine. I found myself slipping and almost falling during my first walk in these on some slightly wet sidewalk, which seemed odd since I expected these to have good traction. I understand that these shoes are trail-running specific, and I run in trail running shoes purposefully because I prefer trails to roads. But my usual routes require running on road or sidewalk in order to get to the trails, unless I wanted to drive which kinda ruins the run. I purchased these shoes in the summer and found that during the warm, dry summer months, that on the few runs I did with these that I had no traction issues on dry concrete or any of the trails. I think these shoes probably have great traction on trails in any condition, but it was disappointing to have traction issues on wet concrete of all things. With summer coming to a close, I decided to not risk getting an injury and return them before the wet, fall weather arrived and get another pair of La Sportiva Bushido II's since I had been running in those previously and knew they had great traction. On the positive side, I did really enjoy the feel of these shoes. The toe-heel drop was a little higher than what I was running in previously but didn't run into any issues. I found that these shoes provided a lot of bounce in my step and for the most part they were a fun shoe to run in. The main issue was that most of the time I spent wearing them I was thinking about how bad the traction was and not focusing on my run. I think the ability to loosen or tighten the laces is a really cool feature and I utilized that on most of the runs I did with these. Overall, this shoe is good, but I can't get past the traction issues, especially since I live in an area that receives a lot of rain.... Show more

Good traction on a stiffshoe
26 January 2021
These shoes look to be, and feel really durable which I love to see. These could easily last a couple seasons which is rare in trail runners. I like the water-tight material used on the lower part of the uppers, it kept my feet nice and dry during a couple days of rain, mud, and snow, while still being plenty breathable due to the airy material used for the rest of the upper. The tread is really great, much better on wet/damp rocks than any shoe, or maybe even boot, that I've used before. Mud was definitely a problem though... there is a deep Y-shaped groove in the tread and it easily fills will mud, but it's really hard to get mud out of there. The holes through the side of the midsole weren't too problematic even in pretty deep mud, but I imagine they could get ... MoreThese shoes look to be, and feel really durable which I love to see. The holes through the side of the midsole weren't too problematic even in pretty deep mud, but I imagine they could get filled in pretty easily if you're going through the right mix of dirt/mud. The shoe was surprisingly stiff, I was expecting a bit more of a bouncy feel based on the construction of the mid-sole, but the extremely stiff insole and board under it made me feel like I had to run flat-footed. It had a bit of that clunky feel of a new hiking boot due to the stiffness. I'm sure with more use they'll loosen up to what's more my taste. I did like that I couldn't feel rocks, etc. which I've found to be an issue with some thinner and cushier trail runners.I have to bring it up though it's a problem with most running shoe brands, when will shoe manufacturers figure out what shape a foot is? The uppers dug into my (albeit slightly wide) toes making a pretty uncomfortable experience. I'm sure when the upper inevitably blows out at that spot it will be more comfortable. If your foot is pretty much average throughout, then this shoe would be a fine fit, but if you like a good toe box then this probably isn't the choice for you.... Show more

I bought my first pair in the store and the staff were excellent. Spent so much time and patience whilst I decided on what I wanted. Wow, it was so worth it as these are the comfiest shoes ever. I have literally worn them out so have just ordered my new pair for this year. Can see this being a yearly purchase 👍... Show more

Poor material quality
19 May 2024
I am quite disappointed in these ON shoes. I have had them for a year and very rarely wear this pair. The mesh on the upper sides of the shoes have torn open and look awful. I was originally going to return them due to the exterior material not looking nice after two wears but held on anyway because I liked the fit. Since I do not wear them often I did not notice the tears until recently and it is now too late to return.... Show more
