Absolutely love love love this shoe! I’m a 35x marathon runner and have always run with either Cumulus or Nimbus, but this newest cumulus model is hands down the best ever. The new heel design is truly functional! No more thick fabric rolls that tear after a couple months… my heels slip right in (like a Cinderella shoe lol), and stay in place, and the soft landing is a dream when going 10+ miles. An added bonus, the mint green with pink is beautiful! Well done ASICS! :)

I am new to running and was suffering with awful shin splints after wearing a different brand of trainer. I was recommended Asics by a friend, and I was apprehensive at first as I didn’t want to spend a lot of trainers if I wasn’t going to take up running properly.I have had my ASICS 2 weeks and I have run 4x5k a week.I am no longer suffering with shin splints (I had a 6 week rest period also) and my stamina is already dramatically improving. They are so comfortable I feel like they just mould to your feet. I would honestly recommend anyone to buy asics, especially if you’re new to running and not sure what to go for!

Have been wearing Asics for oh, 20-25 years now and for me, they fit and feel the best on my feet. I've tried other brands and always come back to Asics, specifically lately this model and this time, I splurged on the newest release instead the prior version on sale like I usually do.The improvements over the last release are significant. The new heel shape and super flexible tongue are a really nice touch, very easy to slip in/out and nothing digging into the back of my Achilles and the tongue stays put!Support feels evenly distributed across the soles of my feet, the cushioning is great and they weigh nearly next to nothing! I happily wear these all day, every day - they're great at the gym and out and about doing everyday everything else.

I was shopping a sale on the cumulus 25, which I had before and liked quite a bit, when I decided on spending more and buying the latest updated pair. That was a mistake for me. The 26 has a wider toe box and the fit feels totally different. The 26 IS lighter, hopefully doesn’t mean lower quality. I’m not getting the same shock absorption and fit I’m used to in ASICS, and I’m a devout ASICS runner for those two things. I wish I had just got the 25s that I know I like that were on sale. Ran through a puddle on one of my trial runs tho so they’re mine for keeping.I do like the weight and the feel of the tongue. But overall unsatisfied.
The Gel-Cumulus 25 was a lifesaver after a running injury last year – the 25s made me an Asics fan! When I needed a new pair, I pre-ordered the Gel-Cumulus 26; I was really excited about the new teal color. I wore the 26s for a week only to discover the vast differences between them and the previous model. Turns out, they are NOTHING alike! The cushioning is not nearly as plush especially in the heel. I was relying on the heel cushioning specifically, now I am working through shin splint pain. In addition, the 26s are cut narrower than the previous model. MY FEET HURT!!!I'm so disappointed and really frustrated the "upgraded" model of my favorite shoes have re-injured me.
I have been buying gel cumulus for many years now and this is the worst pair. I was initially excited about the aesthetics looking like older models (more simple, less spacey) but putting them on is a whole different story. As other reviews have mentioned, the cushioning on top foot is minimal so it feels very thin. In additional the heel comes up too high. And the shoe itself just feels bigger so if I tie it tightly I just get numb. The most annoying thing now is they must have changed the soles somehow because I now get shocked when using the treadmill and I never used to be before. Do not recommend.
I bought my first pair of asics after being evaluated on a running machine to see which shoes would suit my style of running. I'm not a athlete but started jogging by doing the couch to 5k to keep me fit. I couldn't believe the difference they made. I was 68 at the time and have since developed arthritis in my knees which makes walking difficult. I found that my asics were the only shoes that I could walk any distance in. My most recent pair are plain black so that I can wear them when I am dressed to go out and they look quite smart. These are definitely the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and in 75 years that's quite a claim.
I bought these shoes on June 2, 2024 from a local running store. I tried on over 10 pairs, had my feet analyzed on a computer and these seemed to be a good fit. I am an active person but I do not run/jog. I wear these shoes for strength training, youtube workouts, walking and daily living. I noticed the first few times walking that I seemed to have some friction with them that made the ball of my foot ache a little. I thought I just needed to get used to them. Also note that I have CureEx High Arch Support inserts.Fast forward and today is August 31, 2024. I have had these shoes just under 3 months and I am surprised and disappointed by the amount of wear on the soles of them already! I have had these shoes just under 3 months and I am surprised and disappointed by the amount of wear on the soles of them already! For $140 I had the assumption that these were better quality and that they would have been able to withstand my active lifestyle. Before I bought these, I had a pair of Brooks Glycerin GTS20s that withstood A YEAR of my daily life. I was very happy with those shoes but I like to try different options because sometimes you never know if there is something you like even more.I’ve had Asics shoes before but never experienced this amount of wear in such a short amount of time. I wish I would have taken them back before the 60 days return policy with my local running store but I decided to keep trying to get used to them. And now with how quickly these are wearing out, I will have to budget to buy a new pair of shoes probably within the next 1-2 months. They will not be Asics.
The Gel Nimbus 26 is the epitome of comfort and performance in running shoes. With its plush cushioning and responsive Gel technology, it provides exceptional shock absorption and energy return mile after mile. The engineered mesh upper offers breathability and a snug, supportive fit, while the Guidance Trusstic System enhances stability and promotes a smooth transition from heel to toe. Whether you're logging long miles or tackling shorter runs, the Gel Nimbus 26 delivers unmatched comfort and support for runners of all levels.
I've been an Asics loyalist for 10+ years and had worn a number of the previous Cumulus models. The Cumulus 26 felt great on my feet when I put them on, but it's become clear since then that the design has completely shifted, for the worse. The shoes feel flat and lacking in support, despite all the extra cushioning. I think there might be a heel drop difference between this model and the 23s even though both are supposedly 8 mm. I had to stop running in these shoes because they gave me persistent top-of-foot pain and my IT band started to act up. If Asics wanted to mess around with the formula I wish they'd done it with a new model, not ruining my favorite line.
