Amazing comfort right out of the box!
I'm new to the Brooks Ghost sneaker but I'd been looking for a super comfortable, lightweight, supportive shoe for traveling (and logging many miles of sight-seeing). I love that even the regular width has a comfortable toe box for me and cannot praise these sneakers enough! A lot of running shoes I've tried on have massive soles, garish color schemes or, worse, feel pillowy at first but then make my feet ache because there's not enough support. (I'm looking at you, rhymes-with-etchers.) These are comfortable out of the box and I can log literal miles in them without giving a thought to breaking them in. Hands down my new favorite sneaker, and I love that they come in a range of colors from sporty to understated to suit any style. If you're on the fence, go for it!... Show more

Best joggers I've bought
These are the best joggers I've bought. I tried some shoes on in store & was told about these, as the retailer was selling the next gen of this shoe for a hundred dollars more. I hadnt tried these on & ordered then online. Initially I found the sole extremely weird & uncomfortable because it's slimmer than my foot & my foot overhangs. I was really worried i would roll my ankle, & I've never worn shoes like this. I have a medium wide foot which is why i bought these in wide & this threw me. Out of sheer laziness i didnt return the shoes & on the second wear i couldn't even feel the slim sole. These have more foot & ankle support than the gen 15 as well. They're very comfy, equally for running as the gym. My last pair of joggers were Brooks & I'm glad i stuck with the ... MoreThese are the best joggers I've bought. I definitely recommend these.... Show more

Customer Service & Trainers are both wonderful!
These guys at Start Fitness are a joy to do business with. For a start they sell great sports gear. I LOVE my new Brooks Ghost 14s. But more important than that, is that they care about their customers. They are not your too big for its own good Amazon, who you simply could not get this kind of personal service from if something goes wrong. No, these guys are big enough to be brilliant, but small enough that you can speak directly to a human being at just the right moment. I ordered these trainers with a few other items for my first order, and realised seconds after I had paid, that I had ordered these trainers in a size 3 instead of a size 7. I emailed them immediately (couldn't phone as it was a Sunday evening) and got a reply early the following morning ... MoreThese guys at Start Fitness are a joy to do business with. Now I bet you wouldn't get that sort of personal service from Amazon. So the trainers came, and lo and behold I realised that in actual fact trainers come up small, and I needed a size 8. So I did a return, and again it was a super simple process, and my size 8s arrived back to me and I love them. Seriously nothing is too much trouble for these guys. And that is why they are great. You can speak to a human being both on the phone and by email, and they can take care of you properly. You are not put into an automated system for hours. Now that is rare in this day and age. 11/10!... Show more

Good for roomy toes, and heel support.
Although I am a size 7.5, I got women 8 size shoes for toe width. These shoes are regular width-maybe a inch wider around toes, so luckily it’s not narrow like other shoe brands, so it doesn’t pinch and squeeze toes together, very comfortable.-roomy for your toes to stretch a bit. If you need it wider than that for your toes-maybe a bunion (as a woman), get men’s shoes…for me it would be men’s size 6 for women size 7.5. I don’t like crazy color-why did manufacturers pick those colors-you can’t match your clothes with…yuk. I like more solid colors, “boring”-conservative styles that men shoes have, so I found these dark blue, aqua-turquoise brand design and a bit of dark purple around ankle shoes(the purple blends well with the blue, so you don’t see-notice it. I have seen a lot more nurses, doctors wear these, the cushion is great for working and standing on feet for long hours. No heel pain, and no squeezed toes pain. Also, like my shies to be light, not bulky and dead weight…don’t make my feet-toes sweat. This is my second pair… first pair, I got a size 7.5, but it just fit toes…that’s why I got size 8 (length wise almost same as 7.5, but toes is wider). I like some new balance, and adidas styles, but found Brooks is much kinder to my toes and heels, especially for walking and standing too many long hours. Can change-add just a tad more cushion for balls of feet, keep in mind feet swelling, so don’t make toe area narrow width.... Show more

Great running shoes not so good as school shoes
I love my Ghosts. Great for walking and running, very durable and high quality materials. Comfy neutral shoes that fit my orthotics well. Fit true to size with a roomy toe box vs my Glycerin 19's. I love them so much that when Brooks had the sale + $50 and these were only $119 I bought a pair for my son for school as he needs the wide version and I couldn't find the New Balance wide shoes we usually get in his size anywhere. However the toe design is elevated so he wore through the toe material when bending down to tie up his laces kneeling on concrete on the very first day of wear. See photo. Brooks very kindly replaced the shoes but unfortunately it is just the design- not suitable really as school shoes. The great quality material means he has still not worn ... MoreI love my Ghosts. Love them for my everyday walking shoes. I run in Glycerin.... Show more

Love, Love, Love!!!
I have tried on every kind of sneaker imaginable and was getting frustrated until my sister recommended these. I find most sneakers clunky and heavy and I am a person who likes stylish basics especially when traveling and sightseeing adventures. However, when my family and I started a walking regime during the pandemic I noticed my hips, knees and heels would ache afterwards therefore forcing me to take a 2 or 3 day break in between. I never had any of these problems beforehand because I must admit I spent my youthful years wearing lots and lots of stiletto heels. I am giving these details so others may relate. These shoes really give my toes room without being too big. Terrific arch and ankle support. I typically wear about a 7.5 in most shoes but I find that I ... It is also worth the price for the comfort ,quality and support. Don’t think I’ll even buy another brand again.... Show more

The love of my feets life
After an exhaustive search for the perfect shoe for my ungainly, wide, flat and orthotic demanding feet, I finally was suggested to try Brooks Ghost. I was hooked. Now, over the last couple of years, I wear only Ghosts by Brooks; except for those annoying days I need to dress up and wear sandles so that my friends don't roll their eyes at me wearing a frock and my treasured Ghosts to a wedding or funeral. The Ghosts keep getting better; strong enough to put up with my 15k to 20k average steps a day. These shoes have been instrumental in helping me go walking, when walking was such a pain (literally and figuratively) before getting them. I've lost nearly 25kg now since getting a few versions of these beautiful shoes, because moving around is made easier and without the constant foot pain I had before.I'm now on my new Ghost 14's and they are consistently well made, well supported, lace up nicely even over my slight bunion and take an orthotic inset perfectly. The cushioning is great and grip excellent for walks in the national parks. They feel light, breathe well and yet support everything just as you need..The fit is always perfect whether it's a Ghost 12, 13 or 14. I can rely on these shoes much more than my friends dress sense.... Show more

Well made, lots of cushion, worth every cent!
I did a ton of research before choosing this sneaker at DSW. I'm 60 years young and was having trouble losing weight, so decided to add daily walking to my routine (10k+ steps a day, so one hour of walking on pavement plus misc walking throughout the day) and its worked! Except you shouldn't go from nothing to 10k steps per day lol, so I had sore shins and feet at night, pretty bad. Decided to slow down and walk every other day and also get the best sneakers I could - these Brooks Ghost 14 sneakers got tons of great reviews everywhere I looked, so I went to DSW to check them out and compare them to Rykas which also have great reviews everywhere - there was NO comparison just putting them on and walking around the store! The Ghost sneakers are so well made and it was just obvious that they were the better choice (and not that much more than the Rykas). Fast forward just a couple of weeks and these Ghost sneakers are fantastic! I'm still walking just every other day for now (on pavement), and stretching before and after, and with these well made cushioned sneakers I am having no problems. (I thought my sketchers were fine for exercise/walking but no comparison to these).... Show more

Well worth the money for comfort & support
My daughter is only 9 but has so much trouble finding comfortable, supportive shoes.Shes a size 9 ladies but has a very narrow foot. I was nervous about buying shoes online, especially spending so much on a growing foot!Brooks shoes were recommended by her podiatrist and as there is very little options for 2A narrow shoes & i was pleased to find a couple on the Brooks website. They arrived very promptly & she loved them from the start. She now been wearing them everyday to school & netball on the weekends. No complaints of sore feet, she said theyre the best shoes shes had!... Show more

Works for me
I have tried on every kind of sneaker imaginable and just get frustrated until I found these. I am a cheapskate and have never had to spend much on sneakers never was a big sneaker person. Most of my life I avoided wearing sneakers and found them clunky and heavy and I am a person who likes stylish basics. But I started a walking regime and was picking up from where I left off pre-pandemic however in the past few years I have fractured a few toes put on a lot of weight and seem to be dealing with the beginnings of arthritis. The toes are really messing up the way I walk and they get numb after a while and they are all misshapen. My right foot is bigger than my left as is for many people. The toes are really messing up the way I walk and they get numb after a while and they are all misshapen. My right foot is bigger than my left as is for many people. I also need arch support as I realize I am developing planters fasciitis and also noticing now on top of all of these other problems getting slightly crooked big toes and when I looked it up it matched at the beginning of bunions on both feet. Never had feet problems but I have to admit that I spent my youth for years and lots and lots of high heels as a matter of fact I had a child late in life and realized when I decided to stay home permanently that I had no comfortable flat shoes. I used to get cramps in my calves when I wore flat shoes because my legs were so used to being propped up on heels. Therefore I now pay the price on top of all these other issues I never thought I would find sneakers that would support my feet on my walks and allow for my knees and hips to feel less painful. I am a 57 year old female 5 foot four probably about 165 pounds. My frame is small so that is all very overweight for me. I wear about a size 12. I am giving these details so others may relate. These shoes really give my toes room without being too big. terrific arch support. I will update if they don’t hold up overtime but so far they seem pretty well-made. I typically wear about a 7 1/2 in most shoes but I find that I have to size up and sneakers so that the toes don’t rub but sometimes then they look huge and left foot can be a little bit to loose but these seem to work just perfectly fine. my feet are of an average width not wide at all and I would say the back of my heel is a little bit narrow. very satisfied with this shoe and it is worth the price for the comfort , Quality and support....
