This shoe is very easy to wear. Overall it has the right amount of cushion, flexibility, and durability to feel confident on potentially unstable surfaces. The toe box is wide enough for stability but not so wide the foot slips. The material is breathable yet durable. The heel area is supportive but didn’t cause blisters. I am an avid trail runner who has consistently been running with the Pegasus Trail 3 and 4, so upgrading to the Pegasus Trail 5 was a no-brainer for me. The shoe is very comfortable to slip into, and this is especially made easier with the upgraded loop in the back! I love how the loop is thicker and more sturdy; I don’t feel like it will tear off of the shoe no matter how much I pull on it. The look of this shoe is also amazing; I love the rugged design, and the black, white, & grey colorway had no problems complementing any of my running outfits. This shoe performed well whether it was a short 20 minute run or a long 10 mile run. The new All Terrain Compound is my favorite part of this shoe! I had no issues with traction while running on mud and dirt or running in the rain on the road. I love how this shoe can seamlessly take me from road to trail without sacrificing traction or performance.Overall, the Pegasus Trail 5 exceeded my expectations. This shoe is definitely getting added to my running rotation, and I expect that it will last me for miles to come.

W Nike ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 is a great shoe to run the back trails with! The comfort they provided while trekking on outdoor terrain was excellent. I am flat-footed and the support they provided helped my feet not ache or hurt as much during or after. The sole of grips for the outdoor ground along with the cloud-type cushion was superb. They cleaned off fairly easily after each run although some of the outside strings and mesh were a little harder to clean. I only wish they would come in a bright color for trail running, I like to be seen for safety. Overall would highly recommend trying these out! They are worth the try!

I hadn’t heard about the React Pegasus Trail before but I wish I had sooner. The shoes run true to size and fit very comfortably. I like that they hit right below the ankle so my ankle feels secure when I wear them. I enjoy running and hiking and having a shoe that can protect your ankle movement is very important. Another great thing I enjoyed is the weight of the shoes, very light. Again a very good feature when being outdoorsIf you are looking for good gym shoes, I wouldn’t necessary recommend these shoes as the grips on the bottom can probably cause damage to some of the machines. The locks that keep the laces in place are excellent for dispersing the pressure of the laces and keeping them in place. The reinforced mesh at the top of the tongue was really great at keeping the top bone of my foot comfortable. I was easily hitting each stride and rocking forward with my usual motion, even gaining a little bouncy boost with the brand new shoes. The heel was slightly gummy, so for heel-first runners these might not be ideal if you want complete control over your heel strike.They were truly outstanding on terrain. Gravel and twigs faded out of my mind completely as the cushion transferred none of this pressure to the bottom of my foot. I typically have traction issues on the steep gravel inclines on my local trail, and these are the only shoes I’ve used that got me downhill on loose rocks with ease. They were even great uphill on wet, new asphalt.They worked well for daily walking as well. I love the way the insoles feel, especially after I’m used to some SB Nikes that have horrible insoles that rub against my socks. These had no issues with any kinds of socks, even drier, stiffer ones. The only issue with these for daily use is you can still feel the encouraged “rocking motion” of a runners stride in daily use. Again, not nearly as bad as that feeling is on my vomero 17s though.

The new Pegasus 5 is a really solid choice for road to trail runs. The fit was true to size with plenty of room in the toe box, while the high but soft tongue made for a secure ride. I was especially surprised by how light the shoes are. Maybe it’s been too long since I bought trail runners, but these felt extremely lightweight and equally breathable when I was expecting something much clunkier. Did well for me on a slick trail after some light rain, although relatively flat. Also comfortable on a road run without too much distance. I don’t know that these would hold up for really uneven trails and tough conditions. But for me these were a really nice surprise and fit the bill perfectly for casual road to trail runs.
