The actual size doesn't match with description. I already allowed 1" W and 1" L leeway. But because the inside framing, my box can't fit inside the chest. The outside finish is so rough that I can't clean dust easily. The picture looks really nice, but the actual chest look dull. Looks very cheap and thus it is over priced.

Very flimsy and cheaply made, l was so excited to receive this for a glory box gift to fill with house hold items fir a soon to be married couple. But l was very disappointed when it arrived looking and feeling so cheap and poorly made. I’ve had to ditch the idea as ld be too embarrassed to give this as a gift. The top lid is extremely weak and will dent easily, the two draws don’t fit in their holes properly and there’s no way it could be used as a coffee table as advertised.

Looks great and is good for storage. However, it is very very delicate, especially the top. It looks like you could sit on it, but if anyone forgot and tried to sit on it, it would break. The top wood is extremely thin and flexible and will not support more weight than a few drinks. Best to keep something on top of it so people aren't tempted to sit on it. But then if you do that, it is more difficult to access for storage.

I "like" this chest/coffee table, I don't love it. Shame on me, but I didn't pay attention to the measurements. This is a small piece and would fit well in a small room. It is very light, and my guess is it won't hold up well if it's in a location that it is used often with feet and the like. It looks good, and I wish I could love it more but it only gets a solid "like" from me. Also I think it left a mark on my carpet. :(

Disappointing finish and flimsy built

Pictures show brown finish with lacquer, giving it a high quality feel. Actual product received is more of an ugly grey and no lacquer for shine. Looks and feels cheap. Plywood ready to snap anytime you place a sheet of paper on top of it... Do not recommend - my advice would be to look for a better quality, solid wood one !

I'd actually give a 3.5. Not Unhappy, but not thrilled.

Product looks great. However, much like the other reviews I have read, it is not very sturdy. Billed as a coffee table, but can hardly hold a few full drink glasses without the top buckling. It is also on the small side. It gets lost amidst my sectional. Since I really like the look, I will be reinforcing the inside top with some wood pieces so that it can be utilized as I planned. If you're not into fabricating a stronger top and want to use this as a true coffee table, I would look for something stronger. If you're just looking for a show piece that you can store a few pillows or blankets in, this is your piece.

Nice chest

There were several reviews that did not paint a positive picture with regard to the quality of this product. It is light weight but sturdy. I have no problem setting a lamp, a book and a couple of glasses on it. The outer skin on top flexes but it is solid under the skin. I would have liked more space in the storage area but when you consider that the top is concave you do have more storage area than what you see. For me the chest works great with the room I have it in (small office/guest room). If your looking for something with perfect lines and smooth perfect closing drawers than this is not for you. Keep in mind that it states that it is "vintage" which, it has that appearance. Very Cheaply Made, Not Functional for Daily Use

I ordered this trunk as part decoration, part blanket storage in my master bedroom. It was nice in appearance, but completely flimsy and of very poor quality. The top of the trunk was dented, as well as wavy/buckled in places due to how thin it is. There were also multiple places where the decorative trim was not fully attached - I could stick my pinky finger in the gap. This was just what I noticed after taking it out of the well packed and padded box; I can't imagine how it would stand up to actual use but would not want to risk it! I returned mine (and that process was not easy as well), would not recommend unless you never intend to set more than a pillow on top of it and are okay with cosmetic damage.

Looks great! Nice split areas for storage - with drawers in the lower part of the chest. Only criticism is that the lid looks a lot stronger than it actually is. The design is fab - just what we were looking for to go in my daughter's re-styled bedroom. The construction is generally sound but materials are thin . . Would I buy another? Yes...

you get what you pay for.

I was looking for an affordable chest to double as a coffee table, so I decided to purchase what looked like a substantial chest with a nice rustic look. The material on this unfortunately feels very cheap -- the top surface ’pops’ in certain sections as though it’s a painted veneer with nothing underneath; coupled with its uneven surface, I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting anything of substantial weight - a vase, for instance - on it. . . . . The latches to close the storage also feel very loose, and the storage space is much smaller than I expected; I struggled to put two blankets inside. I’ll unfortunately have to return this purchase.
