The alpaca wool doesnt stay in the blanket. So, there are fine wool strands all over my bedroom. I also question how long the doona will keep its warmth, given the large amounts of wool which are coming out of it.

Wonderfully warm quilt and not heavy at all. Our climate is very cold so you have warmth and no weight with this product.

Luxury Alpaca Wool Quilt from Wooltara smells like its been doused in petrol, or some horrible chemicals. There is also a fine residue on my fingers after handling it. I put it through the wash (cold water only - no detergent) in hopes I could get rid of it. Still smells as intense as before. Ironically, I've bought it because I wanted to move away from polyester towards something more natural. But it turns out what I got was a chemical cocktail they treat this quilt with, which I m pretty sure is more harmful than polyester. Wooltara claims to use Aussie wool for their donnas, except for this particular "Luxury Alpaca" one - they actually conceal the info on country of origin (on their website). Not sure if the country of origin is a problem though - just giving facts.

I know it is summer now but I love winter and am looking forward to using my beautiful ,lightweight, cosy Alpaca quilt. Thank you for the extremely super deal .

This is super warm and not too light. Just right for cold winter nights. Recommended buy.
