Perfect dried basil - you couldn’t ask for more! I’m a big fan of buying woolworths branded dried spices, as they’re exactly the same (or even better) quality as other “name brand” dried spices, however they’re often at a much lower price per item and price per kilo! The woolworths dried spices come in a reuseable glass jar, with a label that can easily be removed. I love this impact for sustainability! Basil leaves are the perfect taste for adding to pastas, bruschettas, stews, soups and pizza sauces. I really enjoyed this basil in a slow cooker minestrone soup!

It's been handy. Due to current restrictions, fewer shopping trips, etc dried herbs are a good substitute for fresh. A sprinkle in any tomato based dish really gives it a lift. This gives a lovely Basil flavour at a very good price and lasts well. I can't say the word Basil without hearing it in the dulcet drawn out tones of Sybil Fawlty. Ba-sillllllllll.......

Good value. As soon as I opened the jar I could smell warm aromatic basil. Actually prefer dry to fresh because of consistency of flavour, fresh sometimes overwhelming. I've used other more expensive brands so delighted that less expensive Woolworths brand every bit as good.

Convenient & quality. I am a fan of dried herbs. Have no garden and fresh bought can be pricey. Basil is something I don't use a lot, however, does add a nice edge on anything with tomato. This offering went well in the salsa I made for our Mexican meal without overpowering the other ingredients. Also, I added some to my salad dressing and it tasted pretty good. This was good value, as are the majority of WW range of dried herbs/spices I will buy again.

Great herbs - great taste. I love using basil as it is a great herb to give great flavour in your cooking. I made pancake- stash with filling from spinach-garlic-cream cheese and flavoured it with the basil flakes. Have a great extra flavour to the dish

Nice herb but wish there was a bigger bulk pack size. I buy a lot of the Woolworths brand herb & spices once for the bottle, so that the containers are all consistent on my spice shelf. Dried basil is something that I use often in pasta, salads and marinades. Whilst I like this product as it has a nice taste, I use a lot of it so I tend to buy big bulk packs (100 g or 200 g pack sizes) from my local European deli then refill them into these Woolworths brand bottles. This product is easy to find in store as the packaging is easy to spot and the different herbs and spices are always arranged in alphabetical order. There is a tamper proof foil seal that peels off easily when you first use the bottle. Try the dry. . one whiff and you'll buy. Never tried dried before, was quite surprised with fragrance change in aromatics compared to fresh, but in nice way, whilst not strong basil flavour as I know it, this one had quite a pleasant sweet fragrant aroma with quite nice subtle flavour/taste and aftertaste, (used on top of home made focaccia). . My Missus couldn't stop taking whiffs from the bottle enjoying the aromatics. Well priced, easy to find with its big B. A point off for Woolies not sourcing from Australian dried herb producers if there are any. Convenient for some recipes, a good standby in pantry, definitely add to our camping tucker box, it has its uses but not my 'go to' basil when there is fresh available and I want a true Mediterranean sweet basil flavour.

Nothing different from other bottles dried basil. handy to have in the pantry. good to add to dishes of pasta. prefer fresh but good to have on hand. price was reasonable too. took me three tries to find it tho, was out of stocki think most of these reviews are too scared to say something other than “great” about the products they try. it’s dried herbs, same as other brands. I try and be objective and will say if I don’t like a product. I appreciate the samples and hope everyone appreciates honesty

Convenient alternative to fresh. Perfect for when you can’t get fresh herbs or need the dried version. This product is just as good as branded variants. Price is great and would purchase over branded products as there is no difference in taste or freshness. Herbs really elevate your cooking from bland to yummy so these dried herbs are a good staple to have in your pantry.

A great dried herb. A staple in the pantry. The basil is always aromatic and great tasting. We use this in much of our cooking when making things such as stews or bolognaise. The Basil is packaged well in a glass jar where you can see exactly what you are buying. Nothing to hide here just a great product with a convenient lid that lets you sprinkle a small amount or open the other side if a larger quantity is needed. The only down side is the product is fully imported, though packaged in Australia.
