Good for sandwiches. Woolworths white bread is good for sandwiches in the morning and school lunches. I prefer my bread sliced for toast, but I could only get this one sliced for sandwiches, which my kids actually enjoyed. It’s very affordable, but it doesn’t stay fresh for very long, so you have to eat it within a couple of days.

Excellent Value for Money. As the cost of everyday items gets higher, it was great to get to sample this very good quality white sandwich sliced bread. At just $2. 50 for a 650g loaf, this represents value for money on an everyday item. The fully recyclable bag and bag tag didn’t go unnoticed either!! Well done Woolies and thank you, Bunch

Save Some Dough. During these rising cost of living times, it is nice to find a $2. 50 loaf bread. Soft and makes some delicious fairy bread. It’s a family friendly loaf with as it says on the label: 20 slices & 2 crusts. 650g as opposed to the usual freshly baked 800g loafI did have some trouble locating this sample: First the label is different to the Bunch photo. Second my local (with an in store bakery) did not stock it. I ended going to another store without a bakery to find this store in the ‘fresh’ bread section of the store. This bread is not baked fresh, it’s a long life bread (4 day best before) made to look like fresh bread - Just put it with the name brand long life bread… JOKE TIME Q) What’s the most sophisticated kind of bread?A) the upper crust.

Great for toasted sandwiches. The bread i got was not as thick as the bread i normally buy. We used it for toasted sandwich was perfect for this as we don't like it too thick. It was fresh, great size loaf to feed the family. Great price and is better than the other woolworths brand that's not baked daily. Would buy again

Good value white sandwich bread! My family and I enjoy eating sliced bread every day, so I was looking forward to trying this loaf of white sandwich bread. I had difficulty finding this particular variety, and it was only after unsuccessfully trying to find it on several visits to Woolies that a baker in one of the stores told me that this variety is only stocked in stores that do not have an instore bakery section. I was able to find this loaf in my city Metro store. We enjoyed this sliced bread toasted and in sandwiches, and it was good without being amazing. I also noticed that it didn’t stay soft and fresh for long; by the second day, the bread was already somewhat stale and was better toasted or grilled. I think that if you were feeding a large crowd, such as at a fundraising sausage sizzle or a BBQ, this loaf of bread is a great-value option at only $2. 50 each. However, my family prefer wholemeal or grain breads, so I’m unlikely to purchase this white bread in future, rather, I would buy the wholemeal variety instead.

Good value white bread. This is totally fine white bread. To be honest, I actually find the Coles bakery white bread a bit nicer. For the price, this is fine, but it still doesn't quite have that "bakery bread" feel. It feels more like a cheap bread. I can't think of a way to describe it better than that.

Soft. Woolworths bread is so fresh and soft, couldn't resist having a sandwich with potato chips. My fav. Stayed fresh for 3 days, normally I would put it in the freezer the same day but kept it out to see how long it would keep and still be nice. Reading other people's reviews all I can say is we have a bakery in our Woolworths and I didn't have any holes in my bread

Basic staple. This is a good quality budget bread. My family quite happily ate it as sandwiches and toast. I toasted a roasted veggie sandwich and it was tasty. I’ve bought this bread before and would again when shopping on a budget with my large family.

Stayed fresh longer. After initially picking up the wrong bread & consequently having to pay for it (I thought this loaf was from the bakery section), it turned out this particular bread was in the 'bread aisle'. This 'aisle' bread ended up being better in size, slice, taste and freshness than the loaf I accidently picked up from the bakery section. This bread stayed fresher longer, had flavour (the bakery bread was bland) and this one toasted & crisped up perfectly when I made jaffles (whereas the bakery one toasted up hard like a rock). I will get this bread in future and give the bakery section bread a miss. My mistake turned out to be an eye opening experience.

Value for money. Slices were very thin. Good value for the price though. Hence why 3 star rating. I don’t eat a lot of bread, also in Mildura majority of our breads come into the store frozen. Staff have told me this. Therefore RE freezing isn’t a good option.
