Best puffed rice cereal. I have not collected my sample yet but I know these are worth 5 stars. My granddaughter has been eating plenty of puffed rice cereal recently and I have bought and tried Kellogg's Rice Bubbles, the comparable product at Coles and Aldi, as well as this Woolworths product. The Woolworths Rice Pops are at the top of the list. The pops are puffy. There are very few unpopped rice grains. The texture is crunchy. The pops are not overbaked. The taste is slightly sweet and very nice. The price is acceptable. I buy it as needed and not just when it it on special like other cereals.... Show more

Great for Slices! I love these crispy rice pops and use them to make mars bar slice. My toddler also loves eating them dry and with milk. The have no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors and are great value for money. They are always in stock and are easy to locate in the cereal aisle. I like that they contain Vitamins and minerals. They are Made in New Zealand with a 3-star health rating. IngredientsRice (90%), Sugar, Barley Malt Extract, Salt, Vegetable Emulsifier (471), Mineral (Iron), Vitamins (Niacin, Thiamin, Folic Acid, Riboflavin). Thank you Bunch for the opportunity to sample; we will continue to purchase this product!... Show more

Deliver exactly what they are designed for. It has been a long time since I ate a cereal like Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops, mainly because I tend to look for a breakfast cereal that has more flavour or is my nutritionally beneficial. My first impression was that the box the Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops is stored in doesn't really maintain its shape. It's a thin cardboard that gives when grasped. As the Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops markets itself as crispy I was interested in whether the box had kept the crispy rice pops safe from damage. There was a fair amount of crushed rice pop powder in the bottom of the bag so this suggests the Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops had been bashed around a fair bit in transit. The Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops tasted how I expected and had the crackle pop I associate with that type of cereal. I found the overall flavour bland but comforting. It was never going to win any awards for flavour but it is a great alternative to the more expensive offerings by other brands. If you like crispy rice pops the Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops are an excellent budget option.... Show more

Crisp, Low Sugar, Value for Money. Thank you bunch for my sample of Woolworths Crispy Rice Pops. The 30g serving size plus milk, would not be a substantial start to the day, so I added fruit and yoghurt. The Rice Pops were crisp and crunchy and a nice change from oats or our home-made muesli. It's more than 30 years since I bought breakfast cereal so I could not compare with the taste of the name brand rice bubbles, however the ingredients are almost identical, both contain Vitamins B1, B2, B3, Folate and Iron, the brand name also contains Zinc. The main differences are price, country of origin, sugar and salt content -Woolworths - $0. 61/100g, ($2. 25/375g pack), Made in New Zealand, Sugar is 5g/100g, Sodium is 350mg/100g, No Artificial Colours, Flavours or ... An Easy Breakfast for the Kids. My kids are always nagging me to buy them a box of Coco Pops but I don't like to because they're expensive and not the healthiest option either. So as a compromise, I buy them a box of these and at $2. 25, I think they're much more affordable than the named brand options. I wasn't shopping in my usual store when I picked up this sample as we're holidaying interstate but I found it in the same place - on the second shelf from the top amongst all the other breakfast cereal options. My kids always enjoy this as a welcome change to their usual toast with Vegemite or honey and I like the fact they can pour themselves a bowl without too much drama. I would love this product so much more if the bag was resealable as my kids aren't very ... MoreAn Easy Breakfast for the Kids. Just as good as the brand name cereal. I'm not a cereal person, so I was mildly interested in trying this out. I found that this is almost the same as the name brand one. I had a bowl with full cream milk and sweetener and enjoyed it. It's definitely a carb hit. I'd say this would be a far more economical option for families for breakfast. I've looked up other ways to use this and mostly found sweet slices and the like. I'll have to give it some more thought and see if I can use this in savoury recipes. It's not a product I'd continue to buy, but it is a good option for those that do enjoy this type of cereal. * 3 Health Rating* Made in New Zealand* Price point at $2. 25 - 370g* Box is recyclable & bag is to go in general rubbish... Childhood memories - snap, crackle, pop! It's been a long time since I have tried a cereal such as this, a very long time! It brought back memories of childhood breakfasts, pouring on the milk and listening for the "snap, crackle and pop". Unfortunately this product didn't have the "snap, crackle and pop" of the brand named product that I remember. The taste experience was still similar though. Not having similar products in a long time made it hard to make a true comparison. At $2. 25 for the 370 gram pack this cereal is certainly budget priced compared to the brand name product. For something a little different, I made some biscuits using some of the rice pops. The result was pleasing, it's nice to experiment when making biscuits. It was a nice sample to receive. ... Great. I couldnt tell the difference between this product and the kellongs version. Really great price point and this stands out when on the shelf. I made chocolate ricebubble treats with this and it turned out great. Also ate it on its own and with milk. On its own it’s quite ordinary taste but it’s the same wity the more expensive brands. Rice bubbles are pretty boring on their own. This isn’t a regular purchase in my home but now i know if i ever wanted to make ricebubble treats i would just get this as the price point is a seller!... Show more

Disappointing. I was disappointed in these. Given that rice bubbles/pops are such a simple product, I expected that there would be no difference between the Woollies brand & the name brand. Turns out a I was wrong. Firstly the packing is lower quality, the cardboard carton is a thinner cardboard & the inner plastic bag was much thinner as well. Because the plastic was thinner, the bag was very difficult to put apart to open. The plastic tended to stretch & was inclined to tear. Visually the products are very similar. However, there was a difference in taste. It wasn't a huge difference, but it was different. The texture of this product was also different & they went gluggy faster than the name brand. Little kids probably wouldn't notice the difference.... Show more

Great for recipes - perfect price too. I love making things with "rice bubbles" but the name brands are getting so expensive that it makes the recipe not seem worth it. I was so glad to be given the opportunity to try these as, to be honest, I didn't know they existed! They're not stocked at my local Woollies Metro. Not only do they taste delicious on their own as a breakfast they are sensational in recipes. Today I made my rice puff honey slice with dark chocolate drizzle. They worked beautifully and had that nice toasted rice flavour. They kept their shape and crunch as well. I will definitely buy these again and can recommend them in baking.... Show more
