Like large chicken nuggets. I am starting this review by disclaiming that I have also tried the Woolworths bulk chicken schnitzels, and as I was eating these chicken tenders I couldn't help but feel that they were very similar to the chicken schnitzels. So, my review for the schnitzels is largely the same, in that you will never be able to achieve anything near as good as homemade from a pre-prepared frozen crumbed chicken fillet. These are great value, especially with the amount of schnitzels you get, but they don't hold up to homemade. In this case, I would say the extra effort of making your own is worth it. Although these are convenient, they taste quite salty and the chicken feels reconstituted... almost like just a large chicken nugget. Stick with the effort ... MoreLike large chicken nuggets. Chicken tenderloins are very easy to crumb yourself, even easier than a chicken breast.

Faux chicken. While these were very quick and easy to cook, the taste and in particular the texture certainly didn’t remind me of chicken. I had to go to the packaging to double check they were actually made from chicken. I think anyone who has eaten or crumbed their own real chicken breast would agree. The texture was so un-chicken like it was quite off putting. The crumbing was ok but quite bland. I did some with veggies to start with but the rest I chopped up and used in a fried rice with heaps of veggies, bacon, prawns and especially chillies to try and disguise them. Even though the price was good value, the quality was a fail for me. I wouldn’t buy these.

Quick and versatile. Often grab these for a quick lunch or tea either air fry or bake in oven, cut into long slices and put in rice paper rolls with some noodles and salad… yummy. Or dice up through noodles, vegetables and a sauce eg honey soy or terriyaki normally. lunch time can be a chicken and salad wrap, or a chicken sandwich with Mayo. And sometimes even diced up in a salad with a beetroot relish mixed through. another food that is limited to your imagination, can use for a quick party snack, or kids birthday party or even a kids movie day at home. Can be taken Easily in lunch boxes with a cooler pack of course.

As expected ...... A typical processed, glued together, formed chicken tender that kids would love. Easy to cook in the oven - 20 minutes and ready to plate up. Crumb came out golden and crunchy but the chicken was a little rubbery and tasteless for me. Son had these while we had chops. Teen son said he didn't mind them as they will be a quick food for him to cook up in the airfryer but don't bother rushing to buy more. Made in Australia with Aussie chicken these are a cheap chicken tender that I think younger kids would love. The chicken pieces were quite large and there was quite a few in the bag. At $10. 00 a kilo, if I were to buy again, I would keep an eye out as they do go on special from time to time. Easy to spot in the freezer aisle (when instock) along ... MoreAs expected ...... Easy to spot in the freezer aisle (when instock) along with other frozen tenders and nuggets. *On the Packaging I did find that the print came off rather easy and made a bit of a mess on my hands. Overall I doubt if I will be buying these again anytime soon but I think those with young families would love them.
Great value and Taste. My kids could live on chicken tenders. They would happily have them for dinner and lunch. Tenders get turned into wraps, sandwiches or just eaten plain. As we go through so many, I'm always looking out for a more cost effective way to buy them. The boxes only contain a few and can run up expensive. This larger bag was great value. It contained a large amount of tenders which is great for a large family. As for taste, they definitely compare to the more expensive brands. I get that they are not the most healthy meal for kids but when you are in a hurry and dealing with fussy kids fed is definitely better than not fed. The kids love them, the tenders give them a good source of protein and if you cook them in the oven or air fryer then they are ... MoreGreat value and Taste. My kids could live on chicken tenders. A favourite way to have them in our house is in a wrap with lettuce, mayo and sweet chilli sauce. I will definitely buy these again. great value and the kids love them.
Quick Easy Meal. Found these chicken tenders in the freezer section along with lots of similar products. They did not really stand out. I must say I was surprised at how many are in a kilo bag, we have managed to have several meals from the sample. I cooked as per instructions on packet. I would have liked them to have browned more and that they were more crunchy. We enjoyed them for lunch and as a snack on another day. At $10. 00 for kilo they are a good buy. On special at WW for $9. 00 at the moment. 3. 5 HSRMade in Australia from at least 94% Australian ingredients. Bag return to store. Thanks to bunch and WW for chance to these Chicken Tenders. I would consider buying it again.
Too spongy for me. I was happy to see that this was chicken breast meat but realised it was a formed product. I don't buy these products usually. The chicken content is 90% chicken breast but the 'forming' process turns the texture into something resembling a sponge which detracts from the taste and mouth feel. I tried it on it's own and the sponge texture is way too apparent, I tried it on a sandwich and it was still noticeable. Perhaps if I had to feed a crowd it would be a good buy to put on wraps etc but unfortunately these tenders just aren't for me.
Great taste and value. I was a little apprehensive of testing this product as I really like the chicken tenders and breast that we currently eat. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I cooked them as a tray bake with a wide range of vegetables and with a small bowl of sweet chilli sauce for all to use it was a hit!! Nice and crunchy with a light taste coating. Good crumb and whilst not truly a chicken tender it is very very good. I will buy this again, once I get through the current quantity we have.

One star for a nice crunch and another for using mostly Australian ingredients.
Woolies Terrific Chicken Breast Tenders. Woolworths Chicken Tenders are made with 90% breast meat and are RSPCA approved. I cooked the Breast Tenders in my oven for about 20 minutes turning them over half way during cooking. My daughter had them with mashed potato and veggies. She loved them so it’s a winner in my house. I did have one Tender as a cooks try me tester lol and yes I found them to be plain tasting but lovely crunchy coating. You could easily put two or three on a hamburger bun and have them like a chicken burger. Great for Friday night fake away. ( That’s when I make take-away style food at home) or just any easy dinner. I certainly will purchase again
