That surely helps with storage and freshness! The puffed wheat looks in very good condition, no broken ones. Nice colour too. You need scissors to open the bag. When you put the poppas in your mouth they are crunchy and they soon become soft. I find them quite tasteless. The taste of honey is vague, what is good, because it's not overwhelming. In the box they suggest to add them to milk. I'm not really keen on that. I'm not a big fan of cereals. I enjoy nut clusters or granola sometimes, but just with Greek yogurt. Looking for a different ways to use this sample, I came across a clean recipe with puffed rice, and decided to follow it using these poppas instead. This is the recipe Choc Almond SliceI melted half cup of dark chocolate chips and one tablespoon of coconut oil at bagnomaria. Added one third cup of almond butter and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Out of the heat I added one quarter cup of almond flakes and one cup of poppas. Mixed well, poured into a loaf tin lined with baking paper and refrigerated it before cutting it in 12 squaresI think the poppas work really well with these choc almond slices and I'm going to make more with my sample, even if unsweetened puffed wheat or rice would definitely be healthier. My daughter is willing to eat some more for breakfast. She found them nice and crunchy. I will probably give one of the two bags to my neighbour. I think that the price is excellent, and could be a great alternative for big families. Probably I won't buy it again though. Just too big for my household. Thank you for the sample!

Tasty Puffed wheat with a touch of honey flavour. Got a huge surprise when I saw the size of the Box 650 g of Crunchy Honey Poppas. Easy to find with the Yellow Box and Picture of the PoppasOn opening, I loved the fact that the contents are packed into two sealed bags. So much better to help keep the contents fresh. These bring back childhood memories of the old fashioned Puffed Wheat cereal that I loved as a child. These are much more flavoursome with that little touch of honey. I can imagine some more recipe uses with this product. No artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. 4 star health rating. Made in Australia from at least 99% Australian Ingredients. Tasted like those corn packing bead things. Yes, I've tasted one don't judge. Zero flavour I mean you could have just called them popped wheat and then that'd be accurate. Not sure what happened to the honey. I mean did someone forget to uncap the jar when they walked past? My hubby was super keen he loved the named brand of these when he was a kid they were his favourite. Sadly what he got was the equivalent of popped wheat and tasted like shredded wheat which was a huge disappointment. The packing was excellent, visually appealing even if it was a lie and the two bags inside took up the box space without feeling like you could fit extras in there. You've gotta stop naming cereals after things you're not making them taste like guys it just wrecks it.

Seriously nostalgic! These are an own brand version of a popular 90’s cereal in the UK- Sugar Puffs! I was never allowed to eat them as a child because of the sugar content. We used to be told that the product was modelled on the teeth of children who ate them every day (as they look like rotten teeth!) I literally cannot unsee this and had to see a picture for this reason! Now on to the product itself, I actually found it less sugary sweet than I remember but it definitely has the strong burnt puffed wheat taste that I associate with Sugar Puffs. I could not taste any honey flavour. I think these are a great price and love that there at two individual packages to avoid stale cereal. Not too bad. I was a bit surprised that this cereal was Ok as it didn't really look or sound that way on the box for me. It's quite cheap especially given the ridiculous prices of cereal at the moment so it's a good buy too. I like how the product comes in two seperate, sealed bags inside the box as it keeps it fresher longer. Also Australian made, which is great. This cereal works well in two ways - one, you can eat it easily straight out of the packet. It's light and crunchy with a honey/sugar flavour that I didn't find overpowering. My kids eat cereal this way. However if you don't want the full honey flavour then you can add milk in the bowl and the cereal has crunch with a reduced sugary flavour. The honey must dissolve in the milk but the taste isn't as prominant. The ingredient list isn't long meaning it's not full off stuff that doesn't need to be there. It's 81% wheat with sugar and honey the next 2 ingredients. 99% of the ingredients are Australian origin too. All up, pretty good. It's a basic, light, crunchy cereal with some flavour and 4 health stars for cereal.

Thumbs up from the kids. My kids were so excited when they found out that we got this sample as I've never bought them 'fun' cereal like this before.... We had no trouble finding it at our local Woolworths and I was surprised at the size of the box. I was impressed to see when I opened it that the cereal comes in two bags, which was going to be easier for us to open and use. This became our 'weekend cereal' so it was a bit of a treat for the kids. They thoroughly enjoyed it and looked forward to it. I found it to be underwhelming and a bit plain for my taste. I couldn't really taste the honey in it. As well as breakfast cereal, I also used some to make some cookies for the kids for after school. They turned out to be a bit of a fail though and I didn't make anymore. ... MoreThumbs up from the kids. I wonder what the 1% ingredient is that isn't Australian and why this can't be 100% Australian ingredients. It has no artifical colours, flavours or preservatives. It's suitable for vegetarians and is a source of thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate and iron. It contains gluten and wheat. The box is recycable and if you're not 100% happy with your purchase Woolworths will replace or refund you. It's priced well, at $4. 30 for 650g. Thank you Bunch for giving my kids the opportunity to sample this product, something we might purchase again in the future.

The 650g pack size is also great value for money. After trying out Woolworths Crunchy Honey Poppas for a week, I have come to the conclusion that this cereal has its pros and cons. Let's start with the positives. First of all, the crunchiness of the cereal makes it very satisfying to eat, and the honey flavor is just the right amount of sweetness without making it too overwhelming. The 650g pack size is also great value for money and makes it a convenient and long-lasting breakfast option. However, one downside is that the cereal can get a bit soggy if left in milk for too long, which can affect the overall texture and taste. Additionally, the nutritional value is not as high as some other breakfast options, with high sugar and carbohydrate content. Love the twin pack of bags inside box. Thanks again to bunch for the opportunities to review products, and this is our 3rd sample of cereal in our last 4 products. We are beginning to feel like 'breakfast cereal specialists', and like the previous ones we have sampled; these Honey Poppas had both pros and cons. Once again this W/W branded cereal closely resembles a well known product from a recognised 'breakfast cereal suppler'; but at a far more 'user-friendly' price! By far the best feature for us though, was the fact that the huge (650 GM's) box contains TWO separately sealed bags. As such, this means that a buyer can take their time using up the first bag whilst the other 50% of the box's contents remain nice and fresh in the unopened bag. This is a great way of enabling smaller families to enjoy the advantages of 'bulk buying', without the usual fear of 'wastage' when opened products can't be consumed in a timely manner. As for 'taste', the Poppas are edible enough, but I personally don't much care for these 'softer' kinds of cereal anyway. I did however think that they were perhaps overly sweet, and the individual pieces of cereal are significantly smaller than I ever remember the brand name ones being. Probably less than half of the size, I would suggest, and truthfully; that is too small. Overall; not for us.

Crunchy, interesting but lacking flavour. I was quite impressed with the size of the box when retrieving this sample, I liked the idea of this product as I found the packaging pretty appealing and liked that the fact that it did have a good health rating for a cereal product. Now the wheat cereal itself does seem of high quality as it has quite a good texture, subtle crunch when eating. However has a similar taste of pop corn I found. And whilst not a complete deal breaker, I did find that is was lacking in flavour. My husband nor myself could taste anything that resembled honey or sugar at all. We will probably still consume this, but add either sugar or honey, or use it as an ingredient in a dessert of some kind. Great Value Sweet Brekky Treat! This cereal is great value and a delicious sweet treat for all the sweet-tooths out there! It is quite high in sugar, though still contains some vitamins and minerals and is free from many added nasties and preservatives which is great to see. Also another big tick being both Aussie made and containing over 99% Aussie sourced ingredients, love that this product supports local. Also surprised to see this cereal actually containing a decent amount of actual honey, and not just flavouring, if they'd replace all the added sugars with Aussie honey, that would be the ultimate win but I could imagine this would drive up the price point considerably.
