Milk, But not as we know it ! Well yes it is milk, it is white, it is full cream and it even comes in a similar carton, but I just don't get the expense. I researched what lactose was and understand we have a hard time digesting this (sometimes explosively, sorry guy's who know this all too well) but I struggle with the fact that an additive (lactase) dictates so much more up front money. Yes I understand supply and demand, the more units sold the cheaper the products can become but we are still talking about 86c difference per litre compared to the regular stuff. I am guessing with all the alternative soy, almond and what ever else there is as a substitute will be fighting an up hill battle. Thankfully for my mob the only hard digestion is doing the dishes and ... MoreMilk, But not as we know it ! Thankfully for my mob the only hard digestion is doing the dishes and giving me my hard earned praise for being the ONE. It does taste good and I would be hard pressed to know what was in my tea or coffee if I hadn't seen the carton. It is creamy and yes I do like the taste. Now only if the scientists could genetically modify the cows for lactose free, then they could do fat free, Chocolate, Iced coffee..... You all know they have started this, I am living proof as I am the cash cow!Great taste and consistency, priced higher than expected but you get 4 Moo's (stars) from us.

Lactose free, good price. For when you don’t want to make a mess In your pants. I wouldn’t say I’m lactose intolerant but dairy can do me dirty. This is a cheap great tasting alternative. Perfect for the lactose intolerant, tastes the same as normal milk. Kids loved it.

Fresh is better! I bought this for a lactose intolerant visitor to my home and scored massive brownie points. She said it was great and has since started buying it for herself and no longer buys the long life version because fresh (where possible) is always nicer!

Cheaper alternative. I'm more of a full cream milk person myself but can see how this product would be appealing to those that purchase lactose free. The cheaper price compared to other brands was the best feature. The milk itself was too sweet for my liking.
They could not tell the difference. This was a sample just for me as being lactose intolerant, I generally just avoid milk. Unfortunately it was just too much like milk for me. I still didn’t like the taste or texture. That could well be me and not the product. I gave this milk to both my husband and daughter and they could not taste the difference in their morning cereal choices. I like the fact this is a lactose free option at an affordable price making it a good choice for those with intolerances.
Slighty sweeter than regular milk. At a glance you would think lactose free, meant an alternative to cow's milk. Some further reading revealed it's not, it's just the adding of lactase to break down the lactose. As this process involves converting the lactose to sugars, it results in a slightly sweeter tasting milk. Other than the sweetness, I couldn't find any other real differences in flavour. The milk foamed well for cappucinos, which is how we primarily consume milk. I liked that it was in a carton, which is more environmentally friendly than plastic. Not sure that I would purchase it replace of regular milk, but as others have suggested, it would be a good alternative if regular milk wasn't available.
Quite sweet tasting. I’ve never had lactose free milk before, so I can only compare it to full cream milk which I do drink. For me it was quite sweet for milk, it tasted like it had a spoonful or two of sugar added. I like sweet things so with cereal or by itself I think it would be a fine substitution. But I added it to my tea, which I don’t take with sugar and it tasted like I had added sugar. Since I don’t have lactose issues, and don’t like sugared tea, I don’t think I’d buy it again. But for people who are lactose intolerant, it definitely tastes like full cream milk but sweeter. And it was much cheaper than the alternatives I saw in the fridge at the supermarket.
Just like normal milk. If you didn’t have any lactose sensitivity you wouldn’t know this wasn’t just normal milk. It tastes just like standard full cream milk. I tried sharing it with my partner who is lactose intolerant but she wasn’t a fan of the taste but I believe that is purely due to her drinking almond milk for years.
A Win For Grocery Inclusion. If I hadn't seen the Free From Lactose banner on the carton I wouldn't think this was anything but regular full cream milk. I didn't detect any difference in the taste or texture. I don't have a lactose intolerance myself, but I would think this would be very handy for people who do because I used it in all the usual ways I use regular milk (in a hot drink, in a cold drink, making mashed potatoes and in baking) and the end results were exactly as they usually are. I really like that Woolworths is adding more and more products like this to its range because it's important that a person's food intolerance doesn't make them feel excluded and put in the too-hard basket. Good second choice. I don’t normally buy this product but I was surprised. It’s a good alternative if there’s none of my regular milk available. Looks, tastes and smells like milk. It was a little sweeter than normal but I cooked with it and had no issues. It is good for milkshakes as well.
