Woolworths Gluten Free Gravy Mix Traditional 120g Low Price Always

Favourite gravy. Woolworths Gravy Mix Traditional 120g is my favourite gravy :) I always bought Gravox without question until the price started to rise making it necessary to look for a cheaper alternative. Being a lover of Woolworths Home brand products I decided to give it a try and it has been my favourite gravy ever since. I like Woolworths Gravy Mix more than Gravox now and wouldn't even buy Gravox if the price was the same. I am a real lover of gravy and not only is Woolworths Gravy Mix more delicious than Gravox is more affordable for people on a budget like most people are these days. Thank you Woolworths for giving me the free sample :)

A pantry staple! We really enjoy this product. It’s easy to use, either by following the directions with hot water or by jazzing it up by mixing with pan juices from your roast meat. I have noted that the product is also vegetarian, so it is an option to have with vegetarian meat alternatives or at least to have on hot potato chips!The size of tin lasts a while for us. The price is good, with a tin costing $2. 10 compared to name brand which was more than double the price. We will definitely be buying again.

Delicious Gravy with a Silky Texture. Love instant gravy, especially if you don't have the confidence, ingredients, or time to make your own from scratch - which applies to me. The instant gravy was delicious with a wonderful silky texture. It was easy to make, and always turns out perfect. The meat flavour was deep and rich, making this an excellent blank slate – adding spices like rosemary, onions, sage and thyme or a splash of red wine maximizes the flavour. It is fantastic that it is gluten free and is great value for money. It is a regular on our shopping list.

It's Gluten Free Yippy. Being gluten free is an added bonus, I can gravy away at will. Maybe just a tad not as good tasting as the more expensive other brand on the shelf, but it comes to the party bearing satisfaction. I'm a diehard tomato sauce junky for snags and rissoles, but a lashing of traditional gravy is a nice alternative. Make up the gravy as needed (more or less) according to directions adding a good splash of Spring Gulley gluten free Worcestershire sauce and a grind of black pepper and you'll have a lovely no worries GF gravy for your favourite meats, mash and peas yes please. Handy Gravy Mix. I normally make all of my gravies from scratch using, cornflour, pan juices, the water that was used to steam the vegetables or liquid stock, herbs, spices, mustard. Tonight I used the WW Traditional Gravy powder, to make a quick gravy to serve with our meal of grilled steak, air fryer sweet potatoes , parsnips, potatoes , with steamed Carrots , sweet corn , green beans, sauteed onion, plus I added fried mushrooms to my serve of the Gravy. I mixed the Gravy mix into boiling water from the steamed vegetables, added a spoonful of hot German mustard for extra flavour brought to a simmer and served. Childhood memories unlocked. This product took me back to Sunday roasts with my Aunty. As a child my Aunty made traditional gravy from scratch and nothing has ever compared until this. The taste of this gravy unlocked a sensory memory that transported me straight back to being 5 years old, having a sleep over at my aunties and helping her in the kitchen. Since she passed away this has been the one thing that has brought those memories alive. The taste is rich and yet not over powering. We get over run by adverts and it’s almost ingrained in our brains that if it’s a brand name it must be better. Well, that is not the case. Gravox has nothing on this!! well done Woolies. I just wish I came in a larger tin!

Just ok. I have bought this brand from time to time but been unhappy with the flavour. When I tried it as a sample this week I had hoped that maybe it had improved. It's not terrible and I do prefer it to the name brand version, however the flavour still lacks a richness that makes gravy just a good meal accompaniment. I like the consistency and the convenience, it's a great price point and good packaging. But the flavour itself is bland and always seems to need onion or more stock for a beefier flavour. It's ok but it's not our preferred option.
