Great high protein snack. I've been buying this yoghurt for a couple of years now. It's def an affordable option and a great high protein snack too. I like to have mine a number of ways - sometimes I make it with some mixed berries and granola, sometimes I add some extra protein powder and make it like a "custard" and add fruit. I even add lite aeroplane jelly and make a high protein jelly. I like the consistency - I've found the ones I've bought are perfect - nice and creamy not runny at all. Will keep purchasing.

Great plain yoghurt. I was surprised at this yoghurt. It's texture was smooth and creamy. My husband enjoyed it as well, especially the creamy texture. It's great for cooking or adding to fruit, muesli, etc. where I don't want an added flavour to compete with the other food I'm using. I also added a little Milo for a cheat's chocolate snack! The packaging is quite nice, although the lack of colour and low position in the fridge does make it fade into the background a little and is likely why I've never seen it before. I really like the large size and value for money. It will last for several meals and snacks. Nutritionally it's surprisingly as well. This makes or breaks a purchase for me. The low sugar and fat, and high protein is a yoghurt winner for me!

I buy this every week. This is the one thing I buy every week without a doubt and get sad when it's out of stock. Really great macros and so so many uses. This yogurt doesn't taste the best on it's own but I mix it with flavored protein powder or with sweetener to make it sweeter. My favorite use for this yogurt is to use it for marinades along with herbs and spices and also for making homemade pizza dough by mixing equal amounts of the Woolworths High protein plain yogurt with self raising flour.

Creamy Healthy Yoghurt. With so many yoghurts on the market full of sugar we have got used to sweet yoghurt and often expect it that way. When I was a child yoghurt was always tart and I loved it that way but it often meant I could only eat a small amount at a time. So it was a nice surprise to find a similar yoghurt again and from the Woolies brand. We are trying to be a lot more healthier and find many things now way too sweet so much prefer a product like this without any added sugar. This large tub is easy to spot on the fridge shelf. The blue label and large bold writing makes it stand out very clearly. It's good price makes it excellent value for money. It has a good clear resealable lid that goes back on easily unlike some similar products where it's a bit of an effort to get the lid to fit back on properly. The other pluses are it's made in Australia and from at least 99% Australian ingredients, and has no artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. It also has a 5 star health rating. And an added bonus every part of the packaging is recyclable. Some people will find this quite sour/tart and may take a while to get used to, but it's easy enough to add some natural sweetening/flavouring in the form of fruit, coconut, nuts, etc. I had it with blueberries for a healthy snack. It's thick and creamy which was another surprise. Most yoghurts tend to be runny or a lot thinner even if supposedly thick. This means less mess as you transfer it to your bowl or smoothie blending cup. It's great for your gut and a good healthy addition to a wide range of meals. A good alternative to sour cream and cream in both sweet and savoury dishes. If you are looking for a way to get more good bacteria into your gut and reduce your sugar intake this is a great addition to your diet. It has a great texture, a great price and a little goes a long way. I highly recommend it.
High protein, healthy choice. A slightly different type of review follows because as I tasted this yoghurt, I kept comparing it with my Pot Set Lyttos Greek Style Natural Yogurt from Aldi. I realize they are very different products, but would generally only buy one type of plain yoghurt for our household. Protein promise: The biggest plus for this product is that it delivers on its promise - high protein. There are 10. 3 grams of protein / 100ml compared to 3. 3 grams in my usual yoghurt. Indeed, it did keep me full for longer. Sugar: My first requirement for any yoghurt is that it be low in sugar. This has no added sugar so any sugar content is naturally occurring from lactose. This product has 3. 5 grams of in 100 grams with 4. 7g total carbohydrates. ... MoreHigh protein, healthy choice. This product has 3. 5 grams of in 100 grams with 4. 7g total carbohydrates. Comparatively my usual Greek yoghurt has 1. 8g sugar with 4. 5g total carbohydrates. I’m not sure what accounts for the difference in sugar?SKIM MILK: For what it’s worth the Aldi one is made with full cream milk and this Woolworths one is skim milk, full cream is generally marginally lower in sugar. As expected with skim milk products, the Woolworth high protein yoghurt had less than 1gram of fat per 100g as opposed to my usual Greek yoghurt which had 3. 3grams. Fat doesn’t worry me as I believe the health benefits of consuming full cream products outweighs those of skim milk (for the health needs of our family). OTHER NUTRITIONAL INFO: Calorically the high protein yoghurt had 62 cals per 100g vs 111cals in the Aldi Greek yoghurt. Again that is expected given the full cream vs skim milk plus the Greek yoghurt is thicker. Both products had a similar amount of calcium and sodium. CONSISTENCY: I liked that this had a thicker consistency than many natural yoghurts. Of course it was not quite thick as my usual Greek yoghurt but that is expected. TASTE & USES: We prefer the Aldi product. I was expecting a slight tangy flavour to it which it did not have. It was fine in smoothies, a curry and in a marinade. I also had it for breakfast with banana, muesli and a little peanut butter (don’t knock it till you try it ) and I liked it. My husband did not like the taste of it except if blended into recipes. If you are used to sugar added yoghurts, you might find this hard to have on its own and may prefer it with fruit along with honey, maple syrup or a bit of jam. Aussie dairy: I liked that it was made in Australia as we have great quality dairy. Price: 900g for $6 is fairly good value. My usual yoghurt is about a dollar or so cheaper for 1000 grams. Best before: One thing I like about my usually yoghurt is that it lasts well beyond the best before date so I don’t feel rushed to eat it all. The Woolworths high protein yoghurt instructs us to consume within 5 days once opened. We had it over a longer time period and happily it was still fine. My verdict - for my household’s needs I’ll keep buying the Aldi Greek yoghurt. However, if I felt the need to eat more protein, I would definitely buy this product because it is good value, good quality and delivers on the high protein promise.
My staple yoghurt. As someone who obsessively counts calories, I use this yoghurt on a daily basis - usually multiple times a day - for a whole variety of sweet and savoury dishes. It is very versatile and is one of the lowest calorie yoghurts available whilst somehow being impressively thick and creamy. It's plain enough to go well with almost any flavoured protein powder and is also thick enough to be used as a dip for fruits and veggies. Highly recommend.
Better than expected. I love Natural Yoghurt and actually often like eating it for dessert instead of ice cream. I purchased this because the price seemed really good compared to the others. Mind you it is only 900g compared to others which are kilo, so it's not as cheap as it seems. Taste wise I think it's more creamy than European Style or pot set Natural Yoghurt bit perhaps not as creamy as Greek Style, it's somewhere in between. I think this yoghurt is great for people that like the Greek style, I personally prefer the more sour taste of true natural Yoghurt bit this is ok it does have a bit of sourness to it and it doesn't seem like any odd ingredients have been added at all so I'm not sure what makes it creamy tasting considering it's made from skim milk. I would buy this again to use in cooking... making flatbread, pizza bases or in curries etc, just not a fan of the creamier (or something) aftertaste that it has when eating it as is. The consistency is good though not runny like some of the more expensive brands can be.
Thick yoghurt. I use other brands of Greek yoghurt for my salad dressings, marinades, and pikelets. This yoghurt is healthy, Austraian and has a 5 star health rating which is excellent. The texture is thicker and doesn't mix as nicely as my other creamier greek yoghurts, this one very much reminded of chobani and yo pro style yoghurts, which i find are thicker, and have a different taste and texture, and also an after taste. I'm not sure if this is because of the added protein, these products all have extra protein added. It's quite nice, but I will probably buy my preferred brand because I prefer the texture and the tasteWould be ok in a smoothie though
It was ok. I found this High Protein Plain Yoghurt easily in store with the other yoghurts. At $6 for 900g it's great value for money. Love that it has a 5 star health rating, that it's made in Australia with at least 99% Australian ingredients and that it has no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. It has 10g of protein per 100g, which is a good amount and pretty standard for high protein yoghurt. As for the flavour of the yoghurt the only way I can describe it is that it was ok. I mean it's a plain yoghurt with no added sugar so while it is creamy it's not sweet and that's what I prefer in a yoghurt. You would definitely need to add things to this to make it more palatable, rather than just eating it on it's own (like berries, coconut, nuts, honey, ... MoreIt was ok. I also could definitely see it being useful in smoothies or in cooking.
