Refreshing Lemon Flavoured Cordial. The Woolworths Select Lemon cordial was nice to try. We don't normally buy cordial because it is often too sweet or contains a high amount of sugar. The lemon cordial was refreshing and not overly sweet, although you can always regulate the sweetness by the adding more or less water. We also tried mixing the cordial with soda water which added an extra dimension with the bubbles. The cordial also contains 25% fruit juice which provides a more natural lemon taste. It is also encouraging that the product is Australian made, however not from 100% Australian ingredients. We should all buy and support more locally made products. The product is reasonably priced and comes in a good size bottle, which is easy to store. I would consider ... MoreRefreshing Lemon Flavoured Cordial. Refreshing for summer. Personally I don't usually drink cordial but my 8 year old and my husband do. They don't like lemon cordial tho... I experimented a bit and had it in my Gin/Soda and a dash goes a long way to give it some flavour. I don't like the sweet, fake lemon taste but that's not the products fault. I think it stands up to the more expensive brands and is great value for the price. I will keep trying to come up with ways to use the cordial. I'm thinking some ice poles for the kids would work. I like that it has 25% Fruit juice, makes it a slight bit more "healthy"

Refreshing Flavour. I was thrilled to get this as a sample product, and there are so many things to like about this product. Firstly the product was easy to find with other Cordial products in the drinks aisle. It was on the lower shelf which I had to look for. The packaging is very good with the content inside a plastic bottle shape, and the labelling describes the product inside clearly. The first thing I thought of when picking up this product was the lemon content - in that it made me feel that it was a genuine Lemon Flavour reminding me on the times my Mother would squeeze lemons - with this exact same colouring and texture. I can say that I enjoyed the flavour and texture of this cordial, with fond memories. It is a great addition to an urn of cold water (just ... MoreRefreshing Flavour. Refreshing cordial. I've actually tried the raspberry version of Woolwroth's Select Cordial 750ml before so I was excited to try the Lemon version. I'd say I'm an occasional cordial drinker and only drink it at parties sometimes. The Woolies Metro in the city didn't stock any of the Woolworths Select cordials, but I easily found this in the drinks aisle of my local woolies. The bottle is quite tall and made of plastic so it was quite light to carry. It retails for $3. 00 and is cheaper than the other brands. There was also Lime, Raspberry and Lemon Lime & Bitters flavours to choose from. The label on the front of the bottle shows some nice lemony colours and green leaves. There was also Lime, Raspberry and Lemon Lime & Bitters flavours to choose from. The label on the front of the bottle shows some nice lemony colours and green leaves. It says it is a 25% fruit cordial, with no artificial colours or flavours. And it is made from at least 74% Australian ingredients (not sure which ingredients - maybe the water?). My bottle had a 6 month expiry date on it. The back of the bottle says it serves 15 (50ml per serving diluted in around 200ml of water), and each serve is 98 calories, 24gm carbohydrate (24gm sugars), and 12mg sodium. The Ingredients are sugar, water, reconstituted lemon juice (25%), natural flavour, preservatives 202, 223, acidity regulator 330, thickener 466, natural colour 161b. The allergen advice says it contains sulphites. I mixed it according to the instructions 1 part cordial to 4 parts water and some ice. I also added some fresh lemon pieces and some mint leaves. It was quite refreshing but I found it a bit too sweet for me. I recommend adding more water to it. Especially if introducing this to children, dilute it with more water first to see if they like it and if they don't, add a bit more cordial. This does have a bit of sugar in it 9. 6gm per 100ml which is a lot better than soft drinks but something to be wary of. Overall I quite liked the flavour and wouldn't mind getting this cordial (and the other flavours in the range) for parties and barbeques.
Really good. I'm not usually into sweet drinks/cordials but anything lemon flavoured, I'll give it a try. This cordial is so refreshing. Served with soda water and ice cubes - delicious. It could easily pass for a pub bought lemon squash. 1 Health Star Rating is to be expected with the sugar content. Priced at $3. 50 for 750ml is value for money considering the small amount required to make a very refreshing drink.
Good taste, but a little bit too sweet. This cordial has an excellent lemony flavour to it, however it was a wee bit too sugary for our palates when mixed to the suggested concentration ratio. The problem was easily solved though by reducing the amount of cordial used, as there is sufficient 'taste' in the product to handle a heavier dilution. AND, a weaker dilution ratio means that the cordial goes way, way further, so win, win, win for us. We will almost certainly buy this product again.
As good a cordial as we have tried. We are not usually big cordial (or other soft drink) drinkers, but we do tend to always have 'something in the pantry' for when nephews (or friends children) come around. We were down to only half a bottle of 'tropical' flavoured cordial in the cupboard when this Bunch offer came through, so that was perfect timing!Ourselves, and other family members have all tried this lemon flavoured cordial, and none of us thought that it was in any way bad at all. We generally buy the Woolworths brand cordials anyway, so this one will definitely be going onto our 'favourites list' moving forwards. One final query/request though is "are Woolworths considering producing a W/W brand Lemon Barley Water cordial any time soon?"Cheers
Handy on a hot summers day. This arrived in my home delivery Woolworths haul this morning. It’s been very hot here so opportune to try a lemon cordial drink. Mixed with half soda/half water with ice cubes and slice of lime it was certainly very refreshing. 74% Australian ingredients and 25% lemon juice makes a tasty and sweet drink. At $3 for 750ml bottle ($4ltr) it is more budget friendly when compared to Cottees Lemon cordial @$4. 20 litre and Bickfords Lemon @$4. 00 for 750ml ($5. 33ltr). Overall, it is handy to have in the pantry during the warmer months, a little too sweet for me even with extra water however husband enjoyed his glass and would have it again. Thanks Woolworths for the sample and introducing another option to the summer afternoon tea drinks list ... MoreHandy on a hot summers day. Nice Flavour. I haven’t had cordial for a few years and this lemon drink took me back to my childhood. It has good lemon flavour without being too sweet or overpowering. It is made in Australia with 74% Australian ingredients, although only has 25% fruit juice so a 1 in the healthy star rating. It would be good if these numbers were increased. It comes in a tapered plastic bottle which is easy for children to hold and use. The bottle is recyclable or could be reused as a water bottle. I will keep a bottle in my pantry to enjoy on a hot summer day.
Not too sweet. Cordial is something we usually do not buy. This 760mL plastic bottle is labelled Traditional Lemon 25% Fruit juice mixer cordial. Ingredients, sugar, water, reconstituted lemon juice, natural flavour, preservatives (202, 223), acidity regulator(330) thickener (446) natural colour (261b). 1 star health rating. Made with 74% Australian ingredients a shame its not made with 100% Australian ingredients. Preparation instructions mix one part cordial to 4 parts water. Once opened store in fridge, do not freeze.
