Woolworths Light Tasty Cheese Block 250g

Tastes great. I wouldn't have known it was a lower fat cheese as it tastes just like the WW regular tasty cheese. Hubby and I both liked it. It melts nicely, unlike some lower fat cheese. It is a great, healthier alternative to the higher fat tasty. It makes a nice snack with some crackers and would also be great to add to a pasta or potato bake or use on some tacos. It is packaged in the usual plastic wrapping like most other cheeses and you can see the block through the package which is kind of nice. It is rated a 3/5 on the maturity scale which I would say is pretty accurate. At 250g per package it is a good size for our smaller household but I imagine it would be too small for a larger family, or someone who likes a lot of cheese. :)

Very nice cheese. I was happy to get this one as a Bunch sample as I do love cheese. This one is the light version which is my preference in cheeses, being 25% less fat. This block is a good size for us as a big block sometimes goes moldy before we finish it. I opened the pack by snipping the top so to keep it fresh I wrapped the leftover block in glad wrap. This cheese slices easily. It's lovely and creamy. Mild in flavour. Perfect with crackers which is how I served it. Made in Australia from 99% Australian ingredientsPriced at $5 for the 250g block.

Tasty (Ha) and Great for Watching Calories. This stuff is great. Use it weekly. This block is a good size for a single person and it tastes better than preshredded cheese. This has good numbers for those watching their calories but still melts really well and tastes gooooood! Id give this a 4. 5/5 if I could as it does lack creaminess of something like mozzarella (which has similar calories and numbers). All in all though, this brand tastes similar to the more expensive name brands. Wouldn’t spend more when you can get this.

Lovely sandwich cheese. I really enjoyed this cheese. Less fat than normal cheese is fantastic but it didn’t distract from taste. Nice smooth taste and this cheese melted nicely on a toasted sandwich. I also added this cheese to a fresh salad roll and it was delicious. Reasonably priced for cheese. Good block size for a small family or a couple. Use of Australia milk is a bonus as it supports the Aussie dairy industry. Great health rating of 4. 5. I would purchase this again. Great product - tasty and value for money. I found this item easily in the cold fridge area with other cheeses. Not hard to locate with the description and branding clear to see (with big writing) on the front. Love the clear packaging, so you see exactly what you are getting. Texture is smooth, with a great light flavour. What a great size this product is (250g block) makes easy usage with no waste. Sometimes when we buy a bigger block of cheese we think it will be more price savy, but usually some of it goes to waste as we take too long to eat it, so from now on we will be buying the smaller block like this. Easy to cut into cubes, or slices. Diverse usage in salads (cubed); and on toasty (sliced). A little slice of heaven. I have to admit that my favourite 'go to' for meeting my daily nutritional needs is the Bega Light Tasty 50% Less Fat Cheese but... it's so expensive and you can only buy it is a 500g block. :( So this woolies cheese is my second favourite. I love that they have different size packages based on how much you need, it's well priced and reduced in fat compared to the standard tasty type cheeses. I really enjoy the texture and taste of this product. It's easy to find, largely Australian made and a good price. It's great for sliced, cubes or grated cheese as well. Will buy again, highly recommended.

Quality and Healthy goodness. Collected my grateful LR sample of light tasty cheese a few weeks ago but had other cheese open therefore bit of a waiting period to try. But firstly your paying around $4. 50 for a 250g bock which is a great price compared to major brands.. Plenty of stock available which saved me trying to find this sample. Best of all made in Australia with at least 99% Australian ingredients with a HSR of 4:5.. Best before date gives you about six months to use which is ample time I feel. The packaging has a busy front, loaded with valuable information and appealing salad idea which is eye catching …Now for the try and taste test and delighted to give it a thumbs up. We have to take into account it’s a light cheese so not a strong flavour also texture not as creamy and soft but I know it’s not bad for my health and if you supplement it with other foods the taste and texture not as important.. Also have to be honest and admit can’t tell the difference between this cheese and premium brands. Overall I think this cheese is of great quality and we all know how versatile the use of this product can be. I just simply tried it with some wholemeal crackers and tomato with sprinkle salt and pepper. Pleased to add this product to my regular shopping list and recommend it to my fellow bunchees. Great cheese in every way. A good flavoured low fat cheese, useful in so many ways and an inexpensive way to always have a block of cheese on hand. With all the price rises, it is great to see a home brand cheese at a good price point still. I had this sliced on cracker bread for lunch, sometimes with sliced tomato and other times with bread and butter pickles. Very tasty. I do usually use sliced Bega (refuse to buy Coo, oops, Cheer, cheese ever again). But this is a good alternative. Oh, and it was nice to actually to find it freely available in the refrigerator cheese section, as so often happens with Bunch offers, which are commonly unavailable until just after the redemption period expires.

This cheese has 25% less fat & still had a bite and a mature tasty flavour. The front packaging Strength label .... 3 out of 5 for mature is definitely helpful in helping the consumer to decide. I would purchase again and recommend it to everyone especially the single person as it is in a 250gm block and so consumed before it has a chance to deteriorate. Appreciated the blue labelling with serving hints of basil, tomato, sliced onion & an image of salad bowl to add this cheese to. Saves the day when you can't have full fat cheese! This cheese tastes great considering it is lower in fat! It is the cheese that I usually buy for myself to keep my health in check. I don't feel like I am missing out - even when it comes to toasties!In saying that, my one annoyance about this cheese is that I can't buy it in 500g blocks. It probably sounds silly but I like the size of the slices made with 500g blocks - perfect for a sandwich in 2 slices. I also use up the cheese too quickly with 250g. This makes me sometimes opt for other brands in the low fat 500g range which are either expensive or awful. Other than that I am happy to buy this cheese again based on its taste and healthier nutrition profile.
