Perfect size for my needs. Once upon a time I used to be a named brand snob and would only buy Bulla cream. Then one day money became a little tighter to come by, so alternatives had to be found to ensure a budget could be met. A few years ago now I came across this Woolworths branded light thickened cream in a 600ml container. The perfect size for my afternoon of making scones. The Woolies branded cream is just as good as the Bulla brand, but cheaper. I have not gone back since finding this cream. Because I've been buying this cream from Woolies for a few years now I was surprised they offered this as a sample, as well as the 300ml version of the same cream The cream is 99% Aussie made, which has me stumped. Nice for pouring or sauces. Nice light flavor, good for pouring over desserts or in sauces- not the best for whipping for desserts. I thought at $2. 60 for the 300ml it was a bit steep in price - the 600ml is $4. 20 so it is more expensive per ml if you buy a smaller size. Albeit in saying that price compares very well with other major brands. It's also confusing when it's marketed as 48% less fat than Woolworth's Thickened Cream - I would expect that it be sold against similar products and be told what the fat content is against similar products not an alternate option- doesn't make sense to me. It's great that it's 99% Australian - what is the 1% that's not? And Australian milk... Thanks Woolies - this makes for a nice healthier option, but to get value may need ... MoreNice for pouring or sauces. Great light cream to help us stay light . I prefer light cream if it doesn’t need to be whipped. It’s a great balance between flavour and better health. This light cream contains 48% less fat ✅ than the full cream equivalent. The packaging clearly states “perfect for cooking and pouring…not whipping” which is helpful to avoid confusion. It is made in Australia and at $4. 20 is more economical than the 300ml product if you need lots. The container is easy to open and the lid is replaceable so you can use it for a number of dishes. I use cream for specific recipes and therefore usually only buy the smaller product. I do buy this cream and highly recommend it. Versatile and great value. I regularly buy this cream. A big value size for those who use a lot. Easy to pour and store. Great for cooking, baking and making desserts. Versatile and ideal in a variety dishes. I usually add in pasta, curry, quiche, creamy sauce etc. Sweets like cheese cake, mousse, and whipped cream to name a few. Used in place of milk to make the dish rich, creamy and extra tasty. This time I used up a bottle of cream to following sweets and savoury dish — Cream filling for Swiss roll cake. It was delicious and whipped well. Low carb burnt basque cheesecake which replaced regular sugar with natural sweetener and made in air fryer was smooth and creamy. Quiche was also creamy and custardy. Made from Australian milk without artificial colours, ... MoreVersatile and great value. I regularly buy this cream. A big value size for those who use a lot. It’s affordable and comparable with named brands. Highly recommend and I will continue buying this cream.

Light Thickened Cream. Wishing I could use light cream in all my cooking over the recipes that require full fat cream. I have tried using light cream in place of the full fat cream, & some recipes aren't as good. I always buy low fat cream as a better choice with high cholesterol. Perfect for cooking & pouring, (Not whipping). Perfect on desserts, & also to use to make your meals creamy/thickened. I always buy this brand. The price is always cheaper, & still good quality. I need to find more recipes to use it up. We really dont eat alot of cream with having high cholesterol, but I would use it to make carbonara, pumpkin soup, quiches, potato bake, tuna mornay, etc. Was easy to find, & the packaging stands out well. This size tub is perfect for less mouths to feed. ... MoreLight Thickened Cream. Wishing I could use light cream in all my cooking over the recipes that require full fat cream. Great all round cream. This is one of our go-to products whenever we need a cream for anything. Whether it is for a dessert topping or a cream addition for cooking, this is the product we always go for. For this sample, I used it as an addition to a recipe, for a creamy sauce with honey & mustard. I had no issues with opening the container, it is well sealed and easy to open, also can be closed again with little pressure on the lid. I also took advantage of this by adding some of the mustard seeds into the half-empty container and shaking it up to mix it in so I didn't have to mix it as much in the pan. It also allows for easy cleaning before recycling. I also found the lip around the edge (for the lid), smooth and rounded, allowing for an easy pour with little more ... MoreGreat all round cream. Although I'm not a huge fan of cream, I can't really understand why people would pay a premium for a more expensive cream, when I find this does the job quite well and I've had no complaints when I've served it up on a dessert.

Good thick cream - and light too! Just when we were thinking of getting some cream to whip for a family desert recently, along comes Bunch and this wonderful product to taste test. Now, I must admit, I probably would not have got the 600ml bottle, normally opting for the handy 300ml size, but this was the sample and here we are. Guess what? We used most of it in our whipped cream for desert and plenty left over for another treat - curried sausages. Adding the remainder to my normally thin ish curry in the pan was a great idea as the cream, being light, did not curdle but added immense flavour to a generic curry. Add a dash of Cumin and “Wallah!” a beautiful new flavoursome dish is born, due mainly to the light thickened cream. Oh yeah, the whipped cream was a winner ... MoreGood thick cream - and light too! Great Quality Choice (2). This is my go to when I am buying this type of cream, although I normally buy the 300ml bottle as there are only two of us. The bottle was easy to find in the dairy section with the other creams. At $4. 50 for the 600ml bottle it is great value - $1. 50 cheaper than the "branded" version. I used the cream for a tasty potato bake as this is a big size, so needed a recipe that used the whole amount. The cream cooked well and didn't separate. The result was a beautiful, creamy sauce, and soft, tender potatoes. The texture was spot on and very delicious. I don't feel that I missed out on anything in terms of flavour or final result with the lower fat content. 48% less fat than the full fat thickened cream. We love this cream. I've previously reviewed the non light version and I use both of these in my cooking or baking.
