Loved this !! I loved the convenient little tubs of rice, they heated up perfectly for me. I have tried these before and loved them. They are definitely going to be an on hand item now for my pantry. Price was $2. 20 for 2 rice cups - 125g each cup and that's very reasonable for a quick easy on the go lunch or snack. Simply add some protein or steam vegs and you have a lovely meal !3. 5 health star rating and No Artificial Colours, Flavours or Preservatives. Convenience in a Cup. This was a very handy sample to receive, more handy than I even realised!These are $2. 20 for 2 x 125g individually sealed cups of Long Grain White Rice. Each cup is ready after 40 seconds in the microwave (although I am sure you could place both in the microwave at the same time if need be). This of course makes them a quick and convenient item as a side dish etc. Well, for our sample purposes, I had made a Sweet Potato & Sausage Stew with Mashed Potatoes & Steamed Snow Peas, Beans & Broccoli on the side. We had some of the Stew left over but no Potatoes or Vegetables were left. Once the Stew & Rice were heated she tipped the rice in with the Stew on the side of the container as I had put the Stew in a Larger container so the Rice would fit in there with it once it was cooked, and she was all set!It worked a treat! Our daughter said the rice was light and fluffy and just like freshly home cooked. She was very impressed and now so are we! What a convenient way for us to be able to add to leftovers easily for her to take to work! Brilliant! FYI, these are also sold in Brown & Basmati Rice varieties at the same price at Woolworths. We will be purchasing more just to have on hand for this purpose. While we sometimes have rice as a side to meals we don’t always, so for those times these are a great option to have in the Cupboard! Quick rice. I always have these on hand. There are a couple of different ones this one is my favourite, my husband likes the whole grain one. Tonight l had to prepare a quick meal for my son in law and he loved it. I used the frozen broccoli, frozen sweet potatoe chips and home made snitzels. l he got stuck into it too quick for me to take a photo. In five minutes l had a great meal ready. These always are a great addition to a meal. I usually add a can of tuna and l have a quick and easy meal ready in no time.

QUICK & EASY. One of the greatest microwavable food items to ever be made!Perfect for on the go lunches or dinners. Conveniently portioned and packaged to take to work and super easy cooking directions to follow. Takes the mess and hassle away from the kitchen in cooking traditional stove top rice- with the exact same result.. if not better!Reasonably priced and tastes delicious. No glugginess.. just a tad clumpy, although expected as its crammed into a little plastic container. Its always a regular staple in our pantry and i can assure you it will become one in yours!

Handy pantry staple. I missed getting this sample, but it's a product I buy regularly. We're a 2 person household, and instead of having to go through the trouble of cooking a batch of rice, these small tubs are enough for a side serve. Plus they are only $2. 20 for a twin pack. If I'm not using both tubs, it means less waste too. They are easy to cook as they only take 40 seconds to cook. The plastic lid is a little hard to open but I just start it off with a knife cut and that does the trick. We use rice as a side dish for curries and stews. It's an easy lunch at work with tuna and salad We've also used these microwave tubs to make a quick microwave ride pudding, so easy! This is a product I always have in my pantry.

Was ok. I always cook our rice in a rice cooker. But sometimes it’s more than you need. these little packs are very handy. Found it very hard to open the lid and ended up having to put a slit in the lid so I could cook it. Not sure if That effected the cooking as you are only suppose to pull back. It was impossible and had no choice as when I eventually was able to pull it back the bottom part was still stuck to the lid so there was no opening like suggested on the instructions, knew I couldn’t cook it that way so made a small slit. Cooked it for 40 seconds as instructed but rice wasn’t cooked so did it for another 20 seconds. will try again but just wish the product was from Australia. thanks Woolies

Super convenient . I have only ever bought the branded ones of this product, so was keen to see the comparison. The seal peeled back easily, which can sometimes be a problem on these types of packaging, and I could see the grains of rice for all separated inside. Microwave for 40 seconds as per instructions, but I did feel it was a little dry to have on its own. I decided to make a little sushi type bowl, and I think adding the extra ingredients gave a bit more moisture to the rice and it was actually delicious. No artificial colours flavours or preservatives and 3. 5 health star rating. Made in Thailand, which is the same as the branded ones. The cooking instructions are to peel back the film 1-2cm. The film was quite hard to peel back. There was sort of a second film which I needed to cut with a knife. Cook on high for 40 seconds. The rice was cooked perfectly in the 40 seconds. It was a little stuck together when placed on the plate but it fluffed up nicely with a fork. I used it as an addition to a vegetable Korma. A decent alternative to freshly cooked rice. Microwave rice has come a long way. While I do still prefer to make my own in the saucepan, this is just so convenient and quick! 40 secs and done. The only negative is that it has a slight plastic smell and taste to it. Unavoidable I guess considering it is shelf stable and encased in a plastic tub. It came out fluffy and separated. I wouldn't buy this one again but I would go for the pouch rice options as some of those I've tried have been much better.

Convenient staple. Before receiving this sample, we have been long time purchasers of these rice cups, however we normally purchase the brown rice cups. These are a product that I believe will continue to be on our weekly grocery list forever. We eat rice at least once to twice a week, and both the brown and white cups are good. Flavour is good, texture is good, size per packet is very convenient and most of all, all you have to do is heat it up or throw in your pan with all your favourite dishes! Highly recommend for those who love convenience! My 4 year old daughter loves the white rice cups.
