Great option for cooking. I regularly buy the smaller version and this has the same great qualities. It makes for an easy option for dinners, gives plenty of flavour, is reasonably priced and saves me chopping time. I'm not sure if I'll use all of it in the recommended 30 days for storage, but could see it being a good option for bigger families or if you want to experiment with several savoury meals during the month (great excuse!). I love that the main ingredient is garlic (99%) and is first in the ingredient list, unlike many products, or they have a range of other things in there as well. Would definitely recommend.

Time saver. This is a nice big jar of crushed garlic. I love it. It means I've got some on hand all the time. Once opened, it is stored in the fridge and lasts for ages. It is the next best alternative to fresh garlic. It saves on all that fiddly work of peeling and crushing garlic cloves. Thanks Woolworths, it's a good, cheap and flavourful staple for us that has so many health benefits and adds a wonderful taste to many dishes.

Great minced garlic. This is a great product that I have been using for years. It is always available for an excellent price. The flavour is fantastic, but the aroma isn’t as strong as fresh garlic. The minced garlic always has the right consistency. The only downside with using minced garlic is that it burns more easily than fresh garlic. You need to be more careful to not let the temperature get too hot when frying.

Convenient. I already purchase this garlic in the smaller jar. It's nice to see that it comes in a larger jar. So convenient to use to wip up a quick meal, marinade, sauce, garlic bread or stirfy using fridge ingredients on hand. It also lasts very well in the fridge. I also buy ginger like this as it has reduced our food wastage of this item. Some dishes you can't go past fresh garlic though for us we only buy the fresh for making pickles or to roast whole these days.

Can't go wrong with a big jar of Garlic. @$2. 30 a jar - it's a great priceI find the glass jar great but the label is boring although I like the purple for some reason (please bear with me - my brain is fried from exams)I did struggle to find the 500g jar, there were loads of 250g jars instead as another optionThe garlic is nicely minced and mixed with water - not oil. It's not as pungent as I expected it to be but there is still good garlic flavour and that is what counts. We loved the flavour in our food and the convenience of having it minced for me is a winning point Would we buy this again - Yes - it's handy to have in the pantry

A pantry staple. Woolies home brand 500g MINCED GARLIC is wonderful. The bottle just sits in the fridge - all chopped up and ready to use at all times. And it tastes great to boot! You dont have to muck around peeling cloves, only to find they are old and unusable! It is convenient and always fresh. Easy to find now I know where the bottled ginger is. I took a star off as it is made in China and sad that we dont process it here.

Great product. I've purchased the Woolworths 250g minced garlic jar for many years. Even picked up the smaller jar and wondered why the product didn't come off my bill. Then next time I looked at the Bunch email, I realised that the jar size was 500g - I didn't even realise it came in a bigger jar. Very convenient with this product and will continue to buy. As we use garlic pretty much in every meal, I will now start buying the larger jar.

A good alternative to fresh. I usually grow my own garlic and therefore have plenty in the freezer for use throughout the year…. However, having never tried this one before I thought why not!! the flavour was ok. The taste was a bit salty and sweet for me, and not garlicky enough. Not impressed that it is a product of China…. Surely we are able to grow enough garlic in Australia to service our needs? Would I buy again? No. Would I buy an alternative made in Australia with a higher price tag? Absolutely. Sorry bunch.

Convenient, however can get a little watery. The minced garlic sure is more convenient than peeling cloves of garlic then crushing them (only to then have to clean your garlic press). That said, fresh still trumps based on flavour - I find myself having to add two to three times as much minced garlic to get the flavour to shine through - although admittedly I love my garlic so to each their own!I've also noticed that it's a bit watery. That said, I was a little worried when I first got this product as to how I was going to eat so much before it inevitably expired but I've had no trouble going through the bottle. I'd definitely consider having it on-hand in a pinch to avoid those situations where I've run out of fresh garlic.
