FANTASTICALLY PRICED COFFEE CAPSULES! If you are not too fussed about the strength and taste of your coffee, these really well priced coffee capsules (at $3. 80 for a box of 10) are an alternative to the double the price and more, Nespresso ones, which are for your Nespresso machine as well. The pack says intensity of 8, I do not think it is anywhere near an 8, perhaps a 6 at best. I have also tried the Decaf ones in this range. This "Medium" 100% Arabica ones are much more full bodied and better tasting than the Decaf ones. Would love to also try and see how the "Strong" and "Intense" ones are, just to compare as at such a good price.

Ok if you like latte. Very weak taste as in a yuppie coffee. Aroma was there but mild. I finished up opening 4 caps and pouring the contents into the portafilla on my espresso machine, tampered it then made a short black. This did bring out the flavour of the coffee even tho still mild tasting. I like good strong black coffee therefore I will stick with grinding fresh beans. Cheers

Good flavours. This is my third sample now and it's been great to be able to compare the differences. It's not something that I get a chance to do so easily other than dropping into a Yakhava store in WA which we love. This flavour is the medium coffee and it does taste good. I prefer the stronger flavour if the coffee is from ground beans. This is still better than an instant coffee. I am impressed with the cost and it's an affordable, enjoyable cup of coffee.

Not my cup of tea...... or coffee. Good points:Woolies must know I like coffee as this is my third sample. I am not usually a brand snob but when it comes to coffee I certainly am as I like strong flavour and a lovely crema. So unfortunately, these coffee pods did not really appeal to me. * I liked the packaging design *Rainforest Alliance approved and Fairtrade. * very good price .... at least $2 cheaper than my favourite pods when they are on sale. * box and capsules recyclable *Nespresso compatible so they fit in my machine *Roasted in Australia (but from imported ingredients)Negative points:* taste was like a bland instant coffee taste.... yes I know they were an 8 intensity but I am used to drinking an 11 intensity. Waste not want not......... my husband has 2 pods of coffee in a mug so I used one normal and one of the intensity He said it was OK.
Medium just doesn't cut it. The coffee itself is quite nice. It's smooth, aromatic and has a good flavour. Personally, I prefer the stronger stuff myself but if you like a mild coffee taste, then this one might suit you. It's price is also worth taking note of to at almost half the price of it's competitors. Would recommend.
Big price difference. I was a little sceptical about putting these in my machine and the quality of the coffee that would come out. I can say very surprised. The coffee was nice but the big thing for me was the price. I have been paying at least 3-4 times the cost to use named brand pods. I will try the other flavours in woolworths brand to see if the flavours match what I am currently drinking I would seriously consider ditching the named brand pods for these if the taste is similar
Very good. Hubby is a coffee lover so he tried this sample. Great price ($3. 80) for 10 capsules, pure arabica coffee which is excellent as quite a few of the other brands have a blend of Robusta with arabica which makes it taste bitter. Nice there are different strengths available so I will now purchase the others to see which he prefers. Only criticism is he'd prefer compostable pods - Coles ones are - hence the loss of a star. Overall, though, a great product and we'll be making these a regular purchase.
GREAT COFFEE TO GO WITH GREAT BROWNIES. This was a great tasting, much cheaper alternative to my usual coffee pod. I'm really not that fussy where coffee is concerned... I'm happy with anything, but this was quite delicious. I really enjoyed my morning coffee break. thanks once again for the opportunity to try new things.
Below average brew. Disappointed! Unlike the decaf version, which had a half-decent flavour profile, this turned out to have not much flavour or boldness. Just to be sure I had another cup and it had the same watery, tasteless, dirty profile that reminded me of pot coffee served in an American diner that is typical of medium intensity capsules, although some capsules have better flavour. This one unfortunately is lacking on all fronts, quite unlike the accompanying description. (Tested on a Delonghi Nespresso machine as ristretto 25ml and espresso 40ml).
Nice coffee, lack of recycling option. I was happy to try these as we have a capsule machine. I was lucky to also try the decaf ones and enjoyed both types. The only downside is the lack of recycling options post-use. Coffee pods create a huge amount of waste and it would be great if Woolies could help tackle this by offering capsule recycling drop off in-store or through terracycle programs. Unfortunately I wouldn’t buy these again until the recycling aspects are improved.
