Easy as. Do yourself an favour. Get this product and add the Bao buns from the freezer aisle. Add some marinade, any flavour you like. get some mixed salad leaves and the shredded carrot. Mayo and chilli sauce. Bake the pork in the oven and steam the bao buns. Add all together and why go out…. you have a perfect snack for footy with a beer. pork bao buns and your choice of beer.

Easy way to serve prok. We did not know how to cook this product, so I just cooked a stir fry. I started by browning the meat, took it out then did the onions and other veg, putting the meat back in at then end with the sauce ingredients. It was great. I was concerned it would have that pork smell - but it didn't, I did cook the meat well done maybe that was the trick. East to cook a pork stir fry, not sure how else I would cook it, but will do garlic/oyster/soy sauce style stir fry again with this meat.

Great quality. The transparent packaging allows you to see the meat from both sides. I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal fat content in the package I selected. The overall quality of the thinly sliced pork belly was excellent. Of course, this level of quality does come with a higher price tag. The slices are so thin that they cooked very quickly. I personally cut them into smaller pieces and pan-fried them. Incorporated into a homemade quiche lorraine, they made a delightful treat enjoyed by the whole family. The flavour of the pork belly was more pronounced than the bacon I usually use, adding a new dimension to my quiche without overpowering it.

Good to try, but hard to find. I looked for this product from when I redeemed my sample and didn't find it on the shelf until the very last day before the same expired. I looked in 4 different woolies around my area! So they were very difficult to find. We don't eat pork belly so I gave the sample to my sister-in-law who said that the pork belly was delish! They had it with mash potato, veggies and a creamy peppercorn sauce. Easy to cook, putting some salt and pepper gave it a nice flavour. Only critique is that there was quite a lot of fat.

Most packs had more fat than meat. I thought all Coles Pork was Sow stall free but this was not labelled as such. I prefer to buy free range but at least it was 100% Australian. The photo above doesn't show much fat but in store they were VERY fatty so I'm guessing the product needs better quality control. I know pork belly is fatty and would be happy with the % based on above photo. Thinly sliced is expensive and cooks very quickly drying out the meat. I've edited this because I scored 11 out of a possible 25 but it goes through as a 3 star rating, curious as I'd personally rate it a 2.

Convenient and quick pork belly. I saw this marked down and was keen to try it for the convenience and I also like pork belly. I did go through the packs that were marked down to find the one with the least amount of fat in it. It is good that you can see both sides of the pack. I decided that I would make a teriyaki noodle stirfry. I cooked the pork in small batches in an extremely hot pan, and then added broccolini, zucchini and fresh corn off the cob. Cheated a little and used a packet of. Hart and Soul Teriyaki stirfry mix. The pork was soft and tender and the fat rendered out beautifully. It made a very tasty dish. I have enough left to make some bao buns or maybe rice paper rolls or possibly pork in plum sauce. It’s a very versatile cut. I will definitely ... MoreConvenient and quick pork belly. Great for Stir Fry. It took a couple of weeks to locate this sample and I had to go to two different stores. I love the thinly sliced pork, very quick to cut into strips and lightly marinade before flash frying to add to a stir fry. I liked the fat content - while I don't normally eat the fat on meat I like to cook with it on to add flavour. Because the pork was thin the fat added moisture and flavour. Would buy again

Great tasting pork belly especially fried. The pork had the just the right amount of fat in the layering as I was frying it for dinner. It taste really juicy even though it was thin. The only thing that I noticed about the taste was slightly different smell to the pork which I don't get from asian butchers. So not sure why. The price is expensive though for the amount of pork belly. The usual asian butcher whom I usually buy from is slightly cheaper.

Occasional purchase. Not a big pork eating household so saved this one for an inlaws dinner so they could also give feedback. Liked being able to see both sizes of the vacuum sealed packaging as some had more fat than others which depending on your need could be important. Cooked quickly and easily due to size. I'm not a meat eater and managed to not over cook it and I appreciate it already sliced. Feedback was it's a good product on the higher end for price but for some things if it meets our needs we would pay for it.

Very thin but tasty. Personally, I'm not a big fan of pork or any kind but I did cook these up for my hubby. I decided to cook half in the air fryer and half in the oven. The air fryer made these quite crispy and a similar consistency to bacon but it tasted quite porky for my liking. Hubby enjoyed it. The oven cooked strips were a bit more tender although not much meat per slice as they are quite thin. Couldn't say I'd rush out to buy this again. It's about $9. 50 a packet.
