Nice one. Easy to find on the shelf, directly next to name brand and about half name brand price. Taste was great - mild as advertised on jar. My only criticism would be chunkier vegetables. Recipe is perfect. Yes I would buy again. Joke Time So I attended a salsa class today. The instructor said to everyone āAlright folks, whoās ready to learn how to dance?āAt this point I realised that there was a misunderstanding and ran off with my bag of tortilla chips.

Great Taste. It's been a while since we've had Nachos so was pleased to get this sample and make a quick and tasty lunch today. This was easy to find alongside the other Mexican products. It has a great price, a lot cheaper than the brand names, and very appealing label. I love that there are no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives and it has a generous 375g size that means plenty to go round. The clear jar means you can clearly see what you are getting which is good. I'm never sure of the 'heat' even though I enjoy spicy food, so was happy to have been given the mild flavour to see how spicy/hot it actually was. It had a nice aroma once open so was looking forward to using it. I layered our corn chips with the salsa, sour cream, guacamole and grated cheese ...Ā MoreGreat Taste. It had a nice aroma once open so was looking forward to using it. I layered our corn chips with the salsa, sour cream, guacamole and grated cheese then heated in the microwave. It had a nice rich tomato taste and flavour that added just the right amount of spiciness for this dish and our palates. The only disappointment was to discover that even though it's made in Australia, it contains only 30% Australian ingredients. Since there are 57% tomatoes, the main ingredient, I'm guessing that the tomatoes aren't grown here which is a shame. If they used Australian tomatoes, which should be possible, then I'm guessing the Australian ingredients list would be much closer to 100%. Overall I was happy with the price, taste and ease of use. While it's labelled 'chunky' it's probably not quite as chunky as I expected or other chunky salsas, but I haven't marked it down for this. I didn't mind the texture as it was. But worth noting if using it as a dip it can be a bit runny and more messy than if it was chunkier. I woudl be happy to buy this again and recommend it to others but would much prefer Woolies looking into sourcing Australian tomatoes and ingredients to give it the 5 stars it could have received. And if you like a bit more spice or heat then I'd recommend trying the 'medium' version of this product instead. I enjoyed the mild flavour this salsa offered but others might find it a tad too mild.

Zesty and Mild Delight. Woolworths' Chunky Mild Salsa delivers a zesty and mildly spicy flavor that strikes a harmonious balance between heat and taste. It's an excellent choice for those who enjoy the vibrant flavors of salsa without the overwhelming spiciness. The tomato base is rich and savory, while the chunks of vegetables, including tomatoes, onions, and peppers, add a pleasant texture and freshness. The chunky texture of this salsa is a highlight. It's not overly thick or runny, but rather strikes a satisfying middle ground. The visible pieces of vegetables provide a pleasing crunch and contrast to the smooth tomato base, creating a delightful mouthfeel. A good Salsa to start with. (Not a Sample)I decided to get salsa as my other half likes a salsa on top of his tacos on taco night. I've seen lots of mixed of reviews on this product so I thought I could see if I can make it a positive one. Opened the jar was a screw lid so not much effort opening there. As normally opening a jar I would need to go around the edge with a blunt knife tap it around the edge of the lid till I saw dints to make it easier to open the jar. When I saw inside the jar I noticed a lot of chunky vegetables I believed it was capsicum but the sauce was very much tomato based so I was a little skeptical how it was gonna taste. I tried it with the taco combo we had (lettuce, tomatoes, mince meat and cheese) and I thought hmm I m not normally a ...Ā MoreA good Salsa to start with. The salsa was mild as explained and little hit of spice but not a lot which is good as I'm not a huge spice fan only can tolerate mild. So I reckon I can see this household will continue getting this product for taco night. If you're not salsa fan but want to start somewhere to add extra flavor, give this a go. Recommended
Salsa vs chip salsa. I usually buy salsa from the chips section, so I was excited to try this and see how it compares. 1. Easy to find. 2. Easy to open! āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø as the homebrand chip aisle salsa lids appear to be welded on and opening them almost causes injury. 3. Not as many Australian ingredients as Iād like, but also not too bad compared to other ones in the range. 4. Taste. This was quite sweet compared to the salsa I usually use, and the salsa that comes in old El Paso kits for tacos, burritos or fajitas. 5. Size. I like the size. Iām a salsa fan so it wonāt be a hardship to use a larger bottle. I used this product in my fajitas for dinner and though I probably wouldnāt use it for fajitas again (too sweet when coupled with lots of capsicums) Iād absolutely ...Ā MoreSalsa vs chip salsa. Good alternative to brands. I actually didn't find this Salsa to my tasting. I thought it had a slightly watery consistency and lacked a bit of flavour, I was expecting it to be a little richer especially to eat with corn chips or in a burrito bowl. However for cooking its fine and will add the goodness of chunky vegetables to your dish. And I find all the woolworths branded products a great price for those of us watching our budget. I must say, that I do prefer the other woolworths branded Salsa that you find in the chip aisle. So if, like me, you don't find this one to your taste, try the other one.
GREAT SALSA. This is a handy jar to have in the pantry. We used it for tacos and then ended up purchasing another to add in bolognese. It was a little runny however blended well with mince meat. The veggies weren't too chunky nor overpowering. There was no spice factor which was great for my young son and overall was quite flavoursome. Great price and cute reusable jar! I would purchase again- i actually already have!
Very enjoyable. Firstly thank you for the opportunity to taste test Woolworths Salsa Chunky Mild 375gWe enjoyed this with some corn chips whilst watching the footy and at $3:50 a jar its a great price. We would purchase this again, as the mild flavour suited us down to the ground. Actually we liked it better than the popular brand that we normally get. So it must be good because I am very fussy with my salsa I love the glass jar as I can reuse this to make some lemon curd or other jams. Thanks for stopping by and do yourself a favor and give this a try, I'm sure that you would enjoy it IMO. Have a great day/week everyone
Not spicy at all. Woolworths Salsa Chunky Mild 375g has 3. 5 health star rating. Whilst it is made in Australia, unfortunately it only contains a minimum of 30% Australian ingredients. A big positive for me is that it contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Another positive is that both the jar and lid are recyclable. It says mild but I did not find this hot as all as I do not like anything hot or mild and I found this completely fine. I had this on nachos but I found it lacked flavour and taste. I found it to be very bland. Personally I wouldnāt buy it as it lacked flavour and taste and Iād prefer to make my own salad at home from fresh ingredients.
Satisfactory Salsa. Comes in a glass jar which can be recycled. Easily found in the aisle that houses all things Mexican. I used the salsa to make sausage enchiladas and found that the salsa spread easily. The Salsa was mild in taste and accompanied this dish well. I have used other brands which are chunkier but would buy this brand again for this dish as I also used a tin of crushed tomorrow underneath the enchiladas. A good alternative to more expensive brands.
