Woolworths Shortcut Bacon 500g

Bacon ... . Found easily in the fridge section. I normally buy this product every week or two, so happy to get as a sample! A lot cheaper than other brands, minimal fat, great size and taste, and can be used in so many recipes ... as well as the good old egg and bacon roll!My only downer, is that sometimes the vacuum pack is so tight, that the pieces are hard to pull apart and seperate ... especially when slices are thin, if they are thick they don't seem to be so hard to separate, but obviously you don't get as many pieces! I will keep buying, and would recommend.

Oh so yummy bacon. Even though I don't generally eat red meat or pork I usually can't go past a piece of bacon. This is a great product. Easy to find on the shelves with it's distinctive blue dot on the packaging. Good price of 10. 25 for 1kg. It's bacon so of course the health star rating is on the low side at 1. 5. The slices had just the right amount of fat on them and pulled apart easily. They are a great size for a bacon and egg roll, cooked to eat with rosti/baked tomatoes/fried haloumi/poached eggs, or barbecued. We freeze them in usable amounts as this is a large amount of bacon. I understand why products are brought in from overseas but I would like to see a higher Australian percentage of ingredients used. This product is a staple in my freezer.

Best Bacon great value. love love this bacon been buying it for ages now. It’s lean, tasty and fantastic price. Love that it’s a nice 1kg pack usually covers our family for 2 meals depending on what we have. we often freeze half the packet for later use and if freezes and unfreezes beautiful and does not change the taste at all. like to dice it up for baked potatoes, pasta, loaded fries or to add to salads. So handy to have it already diced ready to go in freezer makes for quicker meal prep. I find the pieces are always nice and lean, good size and also great for bacon and eggs, burgers or whatever takes your fancy. when opening pack there is very minimal juice and no awful smell that other brands can often have. Really Good! I got this sample the day before my son's 11th birthday. He loves bacon so he asked me if on his birthday he could have a bacon and egg roll for his birthday breakfast. I happily obliged. The good thing about this bacon is there is minimal fat on it and it tastes really good. It's great for people who are health conscious who still want to eat bacon. I noticed it shrunk considerably during cooking but I think all kinds of bacon do this so it's not such a big deal. Both my son and I both thought the bacon tasted lovely and it crisped up so well even without much fat. My son said it was the best birthday breakfast ever and I intend to buy this bacon again! Thanks Bunch for making my son's day with this sample!

Regular item in our household. We often buy this bacon. I use it mainly for dicing up as it has little fat and so much more bacon than rashers. We use it mainly on pizza and in Zucchini slice. My kids also cook it up with eggs. hubby doesn’t like how it sticks together when it’s vacuum packed so prefers deli bacon. if you haven’t tried it, do. You won’t regret it. thank-you for another amazing sample Bunch.

Woolworths Shortcut Bacon 1kg. Not a freebie, but excellent product non the less. A staple in our family and purchased regularly for years. Really good value. Not too much fat. Tastes and looks like other premium brands without their price tag. Excellent product and you're crazy if not already buying this product. Get some in your trolley!Another 5/5 product from us.

I prefer to buy the short cut bacon as I don’t like the fatty streaky bits yuk I decided that we were going to have bacon and eggs on rolls for Mr M, and bread for myself for dinner, Mr M, was going to cook ‍ it on the bbq. I devided the bacon up in to packs of 4 as I only use 4 at a time, you get 30 in a kilo pack. Tasty bacon indeed! This was a lovely sample to receive which I used to make some cheeky Cheesy Bacon and Zucchini Muffins. The bacon has very little fat on it which you can easily cut off. There is a good amount of actual bacon without the fat which I particularly liked as I don't like to purchase fatty cuts of meat. You can easily chop the bacon up finely to add to your dishes without cooking in a pan beforehand as it cooks within the recipe which saves time in the kitchen. The price of $3-80 for the 200 gram pack is fine for me as I would only use a small amount and not very often in my cooking. It was tasty bacon indeed which I shall definitely be purchasing again which pleases my other half to be tickled pink much like a cheeky pig!

Healthiest version of Bacon. This packet of bacon was easy to find on the shelf in the fridge. While not the cheapest bacon you can buy it is definitely one of the healthier bacon choices to purchase as it does not have much fat. The bacon pieces are moist and fry up well. The bacon is not even in thickness but it does not really matter, especially if you are cutting it up to add to cooking. I add this to my potato and leek soup. It is delicious to use as bacon on a burger, or just as a side with fried eggs. It works well in the air fryer or in a pan on the stove. I normally buy this cut of bacon from the deli rather than the prepackaged. I have not done the price comparison with the deli bacon but I would consider purchasing this again.

Nice cut and size. Really delicious flavour, easy to prepare as it is cut not too thick and a very nice size. Easy to use on rolls, bread, just about anywhere. We also love to make a delicious snack with this bacon, called cherry glazed bacon snacks. Cut one piece of bacon in half. Use that half and roll a glazed cherry inside the bacon strip and hold it together with a toothpick. Then fry in a pan or on gas/charcoal bbq, turning frequently over moderate heat. Drip excess fat onto a dry towel and serve if you used a frying pan, on bnq not necessary. (Note: photo credits to Feast glorious feast. Could not find our photos)Delicious.
