Can't go wrong! We like eating Tex Mex dinners and stroganoff, so sour cream is a staple in our fridge. As much as I really enjoy the full-fat option, my waistline says otherwise! This product is easy to find in the dairy section along with other things like creme fresh and cottage cheese. I think the packaging looks fine and like how it's easy to distinguish between the full fat and the light option. It's also handy to have a lid for occasions where you don't use it all in one go. It's great that it uses Australian milk! There are not heaps of ingredients which is great. Yes, for $2. 20 I'd definitely buy it again, it's great value.

No going elsewhere now. I brought this sour cream as my daughter was cooking tea for us last night and it was my job to buy the sour cream and mince. This is a stand out WW product and I loved it. It had a good use by date, being 26/2/2022. The packaging is new and stands out in the refrigerated area. It was nice and thick and did not go runny. Suitable for vegetarians No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives Made with Australian milk Made in Australia from at least 99% Australian ingredients Not going to mention the health star rating, as it is sour cream It comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, If you're not happy with your purchase, we'll replace or refund. I will continue to buy this and I will keep and eye out to see if there is a lite version. Tea was a Mexican bowl served with mission tortilla strips on the side. It was so good.

Great product. I already buy this light sour cream regularly to use for many of our favourite evening meals - elote, chilli, nachos, curries, casseroles, stroganoff - and more. It is a great quality light sour cream that doesn't 'split' easily when added to hot dishes and has a nice smooth, thick texture similar to the full-fat version. It contains 45% less fat though. Made in Australia from Australian milk. It is priced at $2. 20 for the 300ml. The lid, cup and foil seal are all recyclable. I would love to see this sour cream in a half size pack as we often have a leftover portion. I also would prefer a cardboard carton which is easy to compost. Thank you very much for a useful sample of a favourite product.

Donāt pull a sour face for this sour cream. Bought this specifically to make potatoes with sour cream and my bunch sample of chives. Quite happy to try the Woolworths branded sour cream as I believe they will all taste pretty similar. Plain labelling with a splashing of turquoise on a white container. It comes across as a basic brand and product but that didnāt bother me. I like that the more is an image of Australia containing the words āmade with Australian milkā I liked that like many other sour creams on the market that the tub comes with a foil seal as well as a reusable plastic lid to keep it fresh once you have opened it. Great price of $2. 20 for 300ml. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives ā 0. 5 health rating, I suppose due to the cream and fat ...Ā MoreDonāt pull a sour face for this sour cream. Have no qualms about buying this sour cream again in the future.
She's a winner . Woolies it took ya about 20 years to get rid of that awful cardboard packaging on the sour cream but now that you have I'm proud of ya!I used to have to go to Coles or Aldi for my sour cream. This is one product which needs the plastic packaging to stay fresh!I popped off a delish potato bake using this light sour cream. Not sure why I bother with light as I fill my potato bake with cheese and bacon bit like getting a diet coke with my double quarter pounder It's made in Australia and it stays fresh in this container and it's a decent price. Woolies I can't believe it but I've got no complaints about this product. Champagne should be presented in the office today. A well earned 5 āāāāā
Tastes like ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦, sour cream. Donāt know what to say about this. It looks like sour cream, smells like sour cream, has the texture of sour cream and even tastes like sour cream. Guess it is sour cream. Seriously though, there were two significant differences between this and the branded product that I usually buy. This one is light, which is great and this one costs a lot less which is also great. Definitely one to add to your shopping cartā¦ā¦ā¦ or your favourite recipe. Whichever you prefer.
A regular in my fridge. I regularly buy this product - in both the full fat and light versions - so I was very happy to receive it as a sample. In my house it gets used in lots of ways - as an ingredient in casseroles / pasta bakes / dressings, to serve over mexican dishes / potatoes and as a 'dollop' on salads / hamburgers and the like. I used this sample over two nights - the first as part of the dressing for my Mexican Pasta Salad (which I made with another sample, the macro GF spirals)and the second night it was spread on top of @eve152's amazing Rice Cheesy Melt (a regular feature of our weekly menus - thanks @eve152). The texture of this sour cream is lovely and smooth, with a great, slightly tart taste. If you don't use it all at once, it keeps really well in ...Ā MoreA regular in my fridge. The price is super competitive and with a product this good, why would you ever pay more for a branded version. I will definitely keep purchasing this great Woolies brand product. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Good, Cheap, Delicious. In comparison to other brands it is cheapest and tastes great. However, I have a negative to point out about the packaging... It's plastic... It replaced the cardboard carton which was better for the environment. Now it looks like any other brand. I have a practical and genius idea about this at the end of my review to make it more unique. Product comparison: Does the new package prevent issue with the sour cream dying out and going crusty or developing the watery sludge?Short answer? Nope. That stuff still happens and it's just something that you can't change when it comes to dairy products of this nature. It's still delicious and can be either scooped onto baked potatoes and topped with chopped chives or given a quick stir to be poured over ...Ā MoreGood, Cheap, Delicious. It's still delicious and can be either scooped onto baked potatoes and topped with chopped chives or given a quick stir to be poured over nachos But I do believe that if woolies are going to backflip on standards for their products then they do need to bring back other essential plastic picnic ware products like knives, spoons and forks too. Can't exactly scoop out the sour cream with a squishy sugar cane pulp spoon and expect to do so over and over without the spoon resembling a wet napkin after a few dollops... licking that spoon or a wood one is not a pleasant experience. So obviously plastic serves a purpose for packaging some things that never needed to be changed to begin with. Great delicious buy. Our first choice. I just hope the plastic used is BPA free... IDEA: (yes, I'd want royalties for my practical idea) I see the only way to prevent the sludge and product from drying out would be to revolutionise the way we think about packaging and dishing up this product. How about thinking about making it in a squeasy bottle with flip top cap like the mayonnaise but with a wider mouthed nozle so you can still get a generous dollop of sour cream on your potato or whatever you enjoy it on? 21st century sour cream
Very Good Sour Cream. This wasn't a sample and is the one of three brands I mainly buy, the others are Dairy Farmers and Aldi's sour cream. I'm generally not a person that likes to eat sour cream dolloped on food, but I do with the Woolies brand. It has that full fat deliciousness, great thick texture, 100 percent sour cream and most importantly, NO thickeners! NO gelatine! NO fillers! to be found in this product, which is unbelievable that a dairy product does not contain an extra ingredient . I just noticed that Bulla's full fat sour cream has gelatine/thickeners in it.. why? This sour cream is great value for money and the tub remains at 300ml, no shrinkage... I use the sour cream extensively in my cooking, as an ingredient to Mexican inspired meals, lime crema, feta and sour cream dip, baked potato, mashed potato, cakes It would also be great if Woolies would bring out a Macro organic sour cream or have more organic brands of sour cream in the refrigerated section sold at reasonable prices.
Thicker than most light sour creams. I used to buy light sour cream my whole life until I accidentally bought full fat one day and was blown away at the creamy and thickness, and I've not gone back! This was my first low fact sour cream in 8 years and it was thicker than a few other brands which l liked, i tried it side by side with the full-fat sour cream and you could taste the flavor difference in them both. I used this in a dip where the flavor of the sour cream wasn't important. I would definitely use it again in recipes when the consistency or flavor is not important. I'm also torn on the new packaging. I hated the old cardboard packaging as the product would spoil faster than in plastic tubs and is harder to seal, however, i liked that it was recyclable.
