Woolworths Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g

Much cheaper and just as good as name brands. This is my go-to condensed milk to buy when I'm making caramel slice. It's considerably cheaper than the branded options ($1. 50 vs $3. 80 at my time of purchase) and I honestly couldn't tell the difference when it comes to the final product in a caramel slice. I took the caramel slice to a Hottest 100 party yesterday and it was the hit of the show. I had to send the recipe to someone I'd never met before which is testament to how well this condensed milk goes in a caramel slice (and maybe also down to Hettie Mckinnon's incredible Salted Caramel Slice recipe!)

Sweet Treat Master Ingredient. We were very happy to get this sample offered to us as this is a product that we use quite often in our house. Our kids love Truffles (Rumballs minus the Rum) so we always have some Sweetened Condensed Milk on hand in the pantry. We have used both the expensive name brands and this brand in the past. After we used this brand the first time, it is now the only brand we use. It is great quality, has a great taste, texture, consistency, is easy to cook with, and the price is a lot cheaper than the competitors. Good product. I purchased this to make a caramel tart with. I used 2 tin in my tart. Now in the image of the product it shows that it has 1 HSR but actually on the can it is only 0. 5 HSR. Made in Lithuania. Ingredient list is Milk, Sugar (45%), and Lactose from the milk. Can and lid are recyclable. Has no articifial colours, flavours or preservatives. @ $1. 80 for 375g can price is good better than the branded condensed milk. It worked just like the branded ones I had always used, caramelized just the same as the branded cans. Taste just the same you wouldn't know the difference between the brands. Yes I would recommend and it will be a repurchase when it's needed.

Milky Sweet. Another one of my pantry staples. My grandma would add hot water to 2 tablespoons of condensed milk and drink it as a hot beverage. Sold at a good price. Good for desserts, in hot drinks, in baking. As good as other named brands. Would be better if it was made in Australia (it's made in Lithuania - plenty of carbon footprint right there). In place of evaporated milk and a teaspoon of sugar, my mum said she can substitute evaporated milk & sugar with condensed milk to add into her English Breakfast Tea. It's a 2-in-1 Just wished the can had a pull ring, more accessible.

Can use for all sorts of things. Not a free sample. During a certain time when we had shortages on the shelves I had to swap out my brand name product of Sweetened Condensed Milk, I was wanting to make my coleslaw and potato salad dressing, so whats a person to do? give the own brand a try I guess. Well its just as creamy and tasty and went down a treat, you really cannot tell the difference but you can in price. I also used it for a lemon and passion fruit slice recipe and again it was just as good as the brand name. I'm sticking to the woolworths Sweetened Condensed Milk for taste, creaminess and the smooth texture ( I tasted it before using it and I was lucky I didn't eat the whole tin) and above all the price. Good price. Purchased this product as make slices and the condensed milk mayo and always have a tin in the fridge. This Woolworths brand made in Lithuania, and the Nestle one I have made in Spain so all imported now. Just wanted to compare the nutrition information on both cans and not much difference. Sugars - Woolworths 56. 0g per 100g. Nestle 55. 0g per 100g. Sodium - Woolworths 132mg per 100g Nestle 100mg per 100gCan size Woolworths 397g, Nestle 395gSame taste and at a good price.

Lovely condensed milk. This condensed milk is just as good as name brand and better than other generic brands. It is thick, creamy and smooth and of course tastes amazing. Condensed Milk has so many uses that I always have it on hand but I have to make sure I don’t fall to temptation and open this one to eat with a spoon. There is no point discussing fat and sugar content or the health star rating of 1, we all know this is a treat. Something I did learn though was this is a product of Lithuania. Who would have known? So I did a little googling and they also export evaporated milk. One of the main companies supplies to distributors who will then put their label on it, such as Woolworths. Excellent value for money! I'm an avid baker, so ALWAYS have a tin of condensed milk in my cupboard. I only ever buy the cheaper brands, because in my opinion, there's no difference, and this one didn't disappoint!The consistency was spot on, and it worked perfectly when making my homemade caramel fudge. At less than half the price of Nestle ($1. 50 compared to $3. 80), you can't go wrong with this product - will definitely buy again!

Wouldn’t convert! Woolworths Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g is everything you would expect from Sweetened Condensed Milk. Rich, creamy and sweet. Tastes just like other brands. I made a Cheesecake and really no difference in taste, 5 stars. This is where it did lose me. Very disappointed with Woolworths claiming to be the “fresh food people” and sourcing from Australian farmers (and the likes) but this was made in Lithuania. The no pull ring top is also a minor inconvenience. My brand name Sweetened Condensed Milk is made from Australian fresh milk and 100% Australian ingredients and for this reason alone I wouldn’t convert to Woolworths Sweetened Condensed Milk. We should be supporting our Australian farmers. We have got plenty of cows suppling fresh milk. Price ... MoreWouldn’t convert! Fab in cheesecake!! This condensed milk was fantastic! I used it in a lemon cheesecake so that I could use up some of my lemons. I chose the delicious lemon cheesecake recipe from @sallthebomb and it was amazing! I didn't use the lactose free versions suggested, just the normal woolworths brands and it turned out perfect! There was so much cheesecake that I even put some in the feeezer for later and it defrosted like it had never been frozen! Two notes about the recipe above - The crumb base seems a bit thin when you first press it out but it ends up being the perfect thickness (I used about 14 marie biscuits). And the lemon juice qty was a little confusing saying 3 lemons or 1 cup... I used 3 lemons (1/2 a cup) and it turned out beautiful but I am not sure of 1 cup ... MoreFab in cheesecake!!
