Snack, sandwiches or cooking, just perfect! We used these for a range of meals. They were handy rather than slicing the block and were priced well in comparison to a block as they were conveniently packed in two packs. We like the convenience of grabbing a slice when in a hurry and for a snack. We will definitely purchase these again to have in the fridge for any cooking occasion. They were tasty, full of flavour and not plastic like some! Delicious and enjoyed by the whole family.

Cheese lover review. I'm an absolute and total lover of all things cheese and so I decided I needed to throughly review this product. I ate this cheese on it's own, in fresh sandwiches, on crackers, with smoky BBQ'd meats, in burgers, hot dogs, on English muffins, as well as in a jaffle maker. Mmm, I'm drooling right now thinking of it melted to perfection. It's a smooth and creamy cheese and has a delightful crumbly texture when eaten. It's robust enough in flavour and true to it's name, it's tasty. I found it to have a sharp and almost zesty finish. Melted it's simply delicious and loses none of it's flavour profile. This cheese is a better and easier alternative to a cheese block, or my guilty pleasure, (please don't judge me)... fake cheese slices. For me, it ... MoreCheese lover review. A very nice tasty cheese. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cheese I sampled (Aust Tasty Slices). Has a very nice but not overpowering taste. The size of each slice fitted nicely on a slice of bread. Packaging was very good with double packaging keeping it nice & fresh. Comparing the price with other similar more well known cheese brands has it competing very well with your cheaper price keeping it at an advantage that you need to maintain to remain competitive. There is plenty of info about the product on the packaging to keep, I would think, most customers informed & happy. Overall very impressed with an item I didn't even know existed. The only minor detail I wish to address is that the packaging is boring (everything seems to be a shade of green or ... MoreA very nice tasty cheese. Family favourite. The best cheese ever. Being a cheaper option was the reason I first bought this, but now I buy it because I actually enjoy the taste the most. It’s a perfect blend of tasty cheese, perfect melting in a toastie, and delicious accompaniment to a good old cheese and vegemite sandwich. It is also a perfectly sliced piece of cheese to use on crackers-just break it into quarters, and you’re done. Now it’s just a bonus that it’s a cheaper option than the major brands.
Sliced cheese. These cheese slices are okay in a sandwich. But my lower review is due to the excess packaging. We like sliced cheese but that’s what a sharp knife and cheese slicer are for. I find sliced cheese tastes fresher when done that way too. And the cheese lasts longer.
Brittle cheese slices. The price is great and I'm sure a lot of families will choose this product over brand names because of the lower cost and they will get some tasty cheese slices, however for me I'm not sure the trade-offs are worth it, i. e. the cheese slices are quite brittle... at the slightest bend of the slice it would break (and not where I wanted it to) and even break into smaller pieces. This was also an issue trying to pull just one slice out of the plastic; unless you cut the plastic right open it'd be hard to get the slice out without it breaking. I would also remove the green colour from the internal plastic pockets, it kinda makes the product look cheaper and it's not really necessary to cover the slices with that green colour to be honest. Real Tasty Cheese, but in slices. Product: Woolworths Tasty Cheese Slices, 500gI love cheese but I’m not a cheese-slice fan. I find the compromise between convenience vs taste and texture normally means: convenience ‘instead of’ taste and texture. There are few people who don’t enjoy cheese on toast (tip; leave a slice of bread out to dry for a day, then toast it with a Woolworths Tasty Cheese slice; cut into small squares to make excellent crotons for Caesar salad, or soup). I was prepared to be disappointed, despite enjoying other Woolworths exclusive products - because I don’t like cheese slices. However, the fresh-look packaging was a plus, people eat with their eyes, first. When I opened it, I was delighted to see the slices weren’t individually wrapped. Less work for me, better texture for the cheese and less plastic in the environment. All good so far, but now the taste test. I ate a slice straight from the pack, then had a slice on toast, then toasted a slice on bread. I was looking for fault, but couldn’t find any. It’s actually real, tasty cheese, but in handy slices. It looks, feels and tastes like *real* tasty cheese!Would I buy it again? Yes, it has changed my views on cheese slices (at least, as far as Woolworths brand is concerned). Would I serve it to my family and friends? Yes, without hesitation. Plus, the packaging and portion size is convenient.
Perfect for sandwiches/ crackers. Perfect size and thickness for sandwiches Great for on the top of crackers. Melts really well in the grill and in toasties. Pleasant tasting, with a slight bite. The kids ate it by the slice without anything else Overall great product. Excellent idea with two different sealed sections of the slices. The container doesn’t completely stop the cheese edges from hardening, so required wrapping in cling wrap after opening. Maybe put the slices in a zip bag to help with freshness and save on using more plastic wrap? Could even do away with disposable solid plastic outer, Woolworths could sell a reusable (Tupperware style) cheese container? Better than expected. When I first opened the packaging and felt a slice I thought that it was past its use by due to a small amount of powder on the cheese. I checked the date and gave it the sniff test and it was fine. I am guessing this is on there to prevent the slices from sticking together. The slices also felt a little dry. The cheese actually had a nice bitey flavour to it. Much better than I expected it to be from my previous experience with the block cheese. I was a little disappointed with its melting attributes. I made up sausages on rolls and the cheese did not melt under the heat of a piping hot snag direct from the pan. I have not put them under a grill to see its full melting possibilities though. Coming in at only a dollar cheaper than the big name ... MoreBetter than expected. The big names actually come out cheaper when they are on sale(which is when I buy them).
Very Nice Cheese. I checked out this cheese in several ways. First I tried a taste just plain, on its own. I found the flavor to be quite good, a moderate cheddar flavor and the texture was firm but nice. Later I did a taste test to compare it to the Hillview Tasty cheese we have been using for several years. I found them both very similar but the Woolworths Tasty Cheese Slices had a little more depth of flavor. The textures were about the same. Later I made toast with vegemite and some of the Woolworths Tasty Cheese slices. I melted the cheese in the microwave on top of the toast for about 25 seconds. I found the melted cheese to be very smooth and creamy and loved the way it became "stringy". I also made a ham and cheese toasty and again the melted cheese was ... MoreVery Nice Cheese.
