Woolworths Vanilla Ice Cream 4 L

Nice milky ice cream flavour. Thouroughly enjoyed this ice-cream. Was a pleasant surprise on how much of a milky taste it had. Fantastic price, easy to open lid / pull seal. Have brought this ice- cream many times and happy to share with guests when they come over. No one realised it was not a brand name ice-cream Highly recommend

Just as good as the named brands. After not having ice cream for a while I had a sneaky craving for something sweet. With the current stock shortages this was the only ice cream in stock (at a reasonable price). My previous experience with 'cheap' icecream wasn't great but I thought for the price I would give it a go. I am SO GLAD I did. Tasty, creamy and delicious. Wont waste money buying the named brands anymore. As far as I am concerned this is just as good and a fraction of the price.

Yummy ice cream type dessert. We like ice cream and this product did not disappoint. Although it wasn’t as creamy as top brands it tasted really good and we enjoyed it. It was smooth, an excellent with fresh or stewed fruit, topping or apple pie. Made in Australia from 88% Australian ingredients. Although 88% is pretty good, I would prefer it to be 100% Australian. For the price we felt it was an excellent product. I will buy it again but please improve the amount of Australian content.

Great staple ice-cream. Unfortunately I couldn't find the 4lt tub of Essentials Vanilla Ice Cream in my local Woolworths to claim this product. It would have been great because it is our staple ice cream. It's creamy and tastes like real vanilla without being overbearing. We have it for our ice cream cones and can dress it up in a sundae or use it in a milkshake. It's a lovely tasting ice cream.

Thumbs down. I absolutely ice cream but unfortunately, this product is not real ice cream. I learnt many years ago that if the word "ice cream" isn't written on the product, then it isn't real ice cream. And it also must have min 10% milk fat. With the Essentials 4L Vanilla, the first two ingredients are water and sugar and contains only 4% milk fat. It was not creamy at all; was quite sweet and icy. I would not buy this product. I normally buy real ice cream when it's half price. And I also love the Woolworths 1L Vanilla bean ice cream for $5..... real ice cream, creamy and absolutely yummy.

I tried to give it a fair tasting but couldn't get down more than a few spoonfuls. Even the kids in the family turned their noses up at it. It was icy, was way too sweet, was totally devoid of any creaminess, and overall had a really peculiar taste. It comes in a typical ice cream container and was easy to open and it resealed well. The packaging is definitely no frills! There's no mistaking that this is a budget line. A few of us had a couple of nibbles at it but there was no way 4L of the stuff was ever going to be consumed so it ended up going down the sink. Stylish Vanilla IceCream. Very nice vanilla flavour. Creamy and smooth. Not too sweet. Australian product. Made great ice cream cones for the kids. Not too much fat. I think the thing that lets it down is the awful boring labelling. It looks like a cheap product and that’s why I’ve never bought it before. I think WW should improve the label, a nice photograph quality with a scoop or two of the ice cream maybe with some chocolate or strawberry syrup drizzled or contrast fruit like blueberries or strawberries. Some connoisseur might prefer to indulge in dearer products, but I found Woolworth's Essential Vanilla Ice Cream light, creamy and fluffy with just the right balance of vanilla. It was good to see that there were no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and that it was 88% Australian ingredients. I find it exceptionally good when eaten with Woolworth's Essential Ice Cream Cups, and indulge myself every night including in winter. At $4. 90 for 4 litres it is very economical, but I must say that I usually buy the 2 litre size as it suits my freezer better. Nice Ice Cream. I really enjoyed this ice cream as it was better than I expected. This icecream was quite delicious, it had a subtle vanilla flavour, a smooth creamy texture and wasn't too sweet. It also didn't get too icy so it was not too hard to scoop. This icecream is good for its price at $5 for 4 litres, great budget option and a good alternative to other name brands. Creamy as! We usually buy vanilla ice cream as we love to add whatever to it like sprinkles, choc syrup, mallows, chocolate shavings, choc chips, etc. This ice cream is so creamy. Not too sweet, not too “plain” though. I like it by itself. I sometimes have it with a slice of brownies or even a cake. I enjoyed it with coffee too. I have already bought again after we finished this tub.
