Word for word, I read the WOF Bible. What comes to mind in assessing this beautiful work is the word, “engaging.” As a 67-year-old, I truly appreciate a font that was readable with no double columns of scripture which made it even more readable. Moreover, the insightful commentaries from the likes of Bishop Barron, G.K. Chesterton, von Balthasar, Thomas Aquinas, John Chrysostom, and others made scriptural text even more decipherable, more meaningful! And the artwork, along with Michael Stevens’ expert essays brought beauty and reason together in a way that brought to life the Biblical story in visuals. It’s a book that once you begin to read it, you can’t put it down!

This was a birthday present, and I could not be more satisfied with it. Bishop Robert Barron and his team have really done something extraordinary here. I pray young people start to drift back to the Church in part due to engaging resources like these. This Bible is chock-full of insight from brilliant theologians. I can't recommend it enough.
This is my first time reading the Bible from cover to cover. There are so many notes from Bishop Barron and other religious leaders that are a great guiding tool while reading the Bible. You get a deeper understanding of the authors of the different Bible books and their perspective which adds a new element to reading the Bible. Feels like I’m in a Bible study class led by Bishop Barron himself.
Give this beautiful gift of the Gospel with confidence. We purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law and she raves about it! Beautifully illustrated, the text deconstructs the Gospel stories and the explains the meaning behind the images We were worried the print would be too small, but she felt the print was perfect. Time to get my own copy.
It is quite different than a traditional Bible. It is very interesting to have learned comments included . Quite an accomplishment .
Quite handsome leather bound book. Kind of wish it was the whole Bible or New Testament, but there is a lot here. Lot of cool classic artwork and has commentary from a lot of different sources from throughout history. Will be adding subsequent editions as they are available.
The book itself is gorgeously made. The print is a generous size type that is easy to read but the greatest enjoyment so far are the commentaries and sermons from not only Bishop Barron but also other Saints and Fathers of the Church. I sit down with excitement each time I open the cover.
Outstanding cover, binding and page paper quality; outstanding creative design and graphics, throughout ...; marginal page margins and printing layout and font size decisions, i.e. from a 6-3/8" page width, the gutter-to-text margin is approx. 1-1/2" and the text-to-outer-page-edge margin is approx. 1-1/4", although good for notes, it leaves the single-column 8 or 9 font size a challenging read beyond a short period of time.
